Unfortunately, I can’t say I was in love. From the initial impressions, I was«wooed” — with a great location, beautiful and exciting ambiance, and super friendly service. However, as a sashimi lover, though presentation was gorgeous– the actual eating left much to be desired. I found most slices of fish to be lacking in flavor– as it was put on big cubes of ice– which masked any distinct variation of flavor. It also made each slice a bit hard, even difficult to chew and enjoy. The wasabi was bland, as well, sorry to say. Some others in my party did enjoy their dishes, though commenting on the lack or protein portions in noodle dishes and that they were a bit salty! We had fun, though, perhaps it was just an «off» night. I would be willing to try again on a night were I explore with a roll or a «safer» option.

Underwhelming. The ambiance, presentation and the taste. We had the sushi and the pad Thai. Both bland and minimal flavor.

I’ve visited several times and this place always gets it right! I mainly go for the sushi rolls, which are fantastic! They service is quick and friendly. The restaurant is small, so it’s best to go after the dinner rush 6 – 8. The experience will be more intimate.

We were in the area looking for good places to eat when we saw this restaurant on Unilocal with many reviews and high ratings so we tried it. It was pretty good but also very average. All dishes and pricing were average. We went in a group of five people. The restaurant sat us at a table for 4 people and added a chair at the end which didn’t bother us. I wanted to order a Dynamite Roll as an appetizer but the waiter said it would take 30 minutes to make which would hold up everyone’s order from coming out so I got a salad instead. Regardless if the sushi roll is heated or not, it shouldn’t take 30 minutes to make one roll. I ordered the Pad See-U with chicken for my main entrée. It was just average. The presentation and portion came out good but the taste wasn’t there. To be honest, there was barely any flavor in the dish. If the same dish came out with a thicker sauce, it could’ve been much better. Everyone around me enjoyed their meal. I just wasn’t impressed with the dish of my choice. I may try this restaurant again someday to try something else.

I love their sushi here! Try the bagel roll, tuna pizza, and the coconut milk chicken soup! The staff are super friendly, and when you come often, they get to know you as you get to know them. They love to see the regulars. Come and get your sushi fix then enjoy a stroll through the square.

I have been there a few times. The experience has always been ok, nothing extraordinary. The waiting staff is not very knowledgeable of the menu options. Not convinced that they use very fresh ingredients. Will not order sushi there. If you request even a slight modification of the menu options the immediate response is that it will cost you extra. Overall I go there for the location not so much for the food and the experience.

First thing to know: You can call and reserve a table ahead of time. Very important for a busy restaurant on the Square. I had my very first visit and was glad we didn’t need to wait over 30 minutes to be seated since I had called that morning to save a table. Second: Lots of menu choices. Almost to the point of too many options to choose from. We enjoyed just Sushi, getting a total of 4 different rolls. Double Fantacy, Dynamite Roll, Dragon Roll, and Kamikaze Roll. All 4 were presented well and had great flavor. We also had a friend order some pad thai. They commented that it wasn’t the best pad thai they ever had, but it was definitely above average. Pricing was reasonable, and we were happy with the service. Overall, worthy of a visit and will be coming back again soon.

The best sushi in Marietta :) I haven’t had anything from here that I didn’t like. It can get a little pricey if you like to get the specialty sushi rolls, but on Monday and Tuesday’s they have dollar sushi night. Also, their soft shell crab appetizer is amazing! Will definitely be coming back soon.

Very good, more of 4.5 stars. One of the better pad thai and Pad see u I have had. The portion for the noodles are huge but also cost 12.50. I called twice to make a reservation but I got hung up on. When we got there on a Saturday night we had a 35 minute wait and the people behind us had an hr. You should definitely make reservations.

Came here yesterday with a reservation, and it first it seemed pointless to make one because when we got there it was empty, but after about half an out it was all full! Pretty reasonably priced Thai food, however the sushi was a bit more expensive than other places I’ve been to. The portions on the fried rice and the pad Thai were huge(definitely shareable), and their rolls were very creative. They have a pretty varied menu and the Thai iced tea I ordered was large for the price. If I’m in the area, I’ll come again.

My wife and I were in Marietta buying a car(From IQ Motors). The process was so fast and easy we had time to grab a bite to celebrate. We really enjoyed the sushi here. It was very good and reasonably priced. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, so we ended up taking some home and finished it later. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was extremely pleasant and nice. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for sushi in the Marietta Square area.

One of the best Sushi & Thai places in the Atlanta Suburbs. Excellent service overall. Staff is very attentive & makes sure that all requests are taken care of immediately. Started with few Sushi & Spring Rolls — they were all very tasty. One of the best was the Wasabi Tuna Roll — very well made & had the perfect amount of spice. Spicy Fried Rice & Chicken Green Curry — both had good flavors. We were a party of 6& we all thoroughly enjoyed the food.

The Thai dishes are very good and my favorite would be the drunken noodles with tofu. I think their sushi, entrees, and appetizers are deliciously satisfying. Their curry portioning is very small for the amount that you pay which would be about $ 13.00. This place tends to get pretty busy and packed which causes the staff to lose some communication. I placed a to-go order and went to pick it up but they had gave my food to the wrong person. When I waited for them to remake my food to go, the to-go portioning of my food was way less than what I used to get. Overall I really enjoy their food but not much of their communication skills between the servers and kitchen staff.

We went here for sushi since it was so close. It is located in the downtown Marietta area among a lot of cutesy restaurants and shops. It is a great place to enjoy a weekend afternoon. Anyway, I ordered the Dragon roll which had eel, cream cheese, and cucumber and the Caribbean roll which had snow crab, shrimp tempura, cucumbers, lettuce, and an avocado topping. My boyfriend ordered the Shrimp Tempura roll which also had asparagus, scallions, and avocado and Hurricane Roll which was deep fried rolls of smoked salmon, eel, cream cheese, asparagus, and scallion. The Dragon roll was just ok. There wasn’t a lot of eel in it, and the cream cheese really overpowered the mild taste of the eel. The Caribbean roll was a lot better; I loved the flavor of the snow crab especially. My boyfriend liked his food as well but preferred the Hurricane roll. Including the Asahi we had, the bill came to around $ 50. This is a decent sushi place but nothing out of the ordinary.

First time coming here. Very nice ambiance and pretty nice staff. The lady who helped us kept smiling every time she came to the table. The food was pretty good. You get a lot or let’s say I ordered too much. Appitizer sampler: we enjoyed the curry puffs and the spring rolls the best. The dumplings had a strange old meat taste to them and the c chicken on sticks were just ok. Adanna mixed it with her teriyaki sauce. Meal, kids: teriyaki chicken, steamed rice, California roll and a cute cut orange. She really liked it. She liked the fact that there were no vegetables in it. Wasabi salmon roll was not too bad. The presentation was very nice. I would recommend trying it, but do not order appitizer. .lol…I was only able to eat about 3 of them. I give them 4 stars because in reality I’ve had better. If I should go again, I will try the spicy basil it really looked good.

Thai/Sushi. I don’t know what the coon part means, but I have never had a bad meal here. If you love a good curry, don’t think you will be disappointed. One of the places to eat in Marietta Square.

really, really good sushi, but the service is so terrible we’ve finally cut them off. We’ve continued to return, giving it another chance, only to always be let down. The food is never brought out on time or together. It’s incredibly frustrating when you’re having to wait upwards of an hour to receive your food, while everybody else has finished their meal already. Sushi quality is 9⁄10 Service is 0⁄10

I’m not the hugest sushi fan, but came here based on my fiancé’s recommendation. It’s a good place, but not one I will frequent. We sat at the sushi bar but couldn’t see what they were making very well because of the fish on display. We started off with a Rainbow Roll and we think the California roll base was already made, and the chef added the fish after we ordered it. Other than that, it was good, but the salmon was too chewy. For an entrée, we split the red curry with beef, which was also good and had a bit of a kick to it. The eggplant was undercooked and had a weird squishy texture to it, which put a damper on the whole thing. In addition, our server was really awkward and really pushed drinks on us. And there was another one that as pretty smelly. Just didn’t leave a lasting impression on us, and my fiancé says he can get better sushi elsewhere.

There’s not much in the world that can make me happier than a hot bowl of massaman curry. It’s my comfort food, a panacea– give me a break-up, finals week, fourteen days straight without sunlight– you name it and I can handle it as long as there’s a plate of curry at the finish line. Today I wrapped up my first week of student teaching, and, as could be predicted, my boyfriend and I journeyed over to Thaicoon on the square to unwind. They seated us fairly quickly considering we arrived at 6:45 on a Friday night and our chicken sa-tay and my tom yum soup were both delicious. One of the shrimp, however, looked as if someone had attempted to devein it and failed, which may not bother some. I mean, I’ve certainly heard of stranger/more disgusting delicacies, but was, unfortunately, hoping for something less adventuresome. The chicken in the massaman curry was chewy and the curry was much sweeter than I would have liked; however, my boyfriend’s cashew chicken was tender. All of that said, we will likely seek refuge from the coming stress storms of the semester at Bangkok Cabin.
