Waffle House #219

Service was friendly & quick. Food was hot & delicious but didn’t like the «c» on the health department report staring at me while I ate.

Went there this morning on my way to work. Called in my ham and cheese omlette order. She said it would be 5 minutes. Got there it still wasn’t ready. Had to wait. They messed up my order. The omlette was oozing with greese. I asked them to make it over. It Still was oozing with greese. I will not be going back to this location again. And it’s right by the jail on county services road. It was tons of cops eating in there, just thought they would have better service and cooking because of the location.

WAFFLE HOUSE don’t?
OK i have seen these Waffle House places all over the south! We actually DO NOT have any in the GREAT STATE OF CALIFORNIA! And because my dad owns a restaurant I don’t really get to eat here much!
So being that I got into town early NOT everyone was off from work and my other family members had not come into town as of yet! So I was all alone on the road for a few days!
I saw this place on one of my drives and decided to stop in! I thought it was just a breakfast place BUT apparently they are open for all three meals! So it was still breakfast time so I got waffles!
Everyone was super friendly here and the service was with a NICE SOUTHERN SMILE! I few people didn’t seem to be the sharpest pencil in the box but they were still nice none the less!
I got my food in a VERY short amount of time! I was so excited to FINALLY taste waffles from the WAFFLE HOUSE! There was no way that they would not be anything but delicious because I am eating from the WAFFLE HOUSE right?
I slathered on my butter and syrup! I started to drool at the very thought of taking a bite into these delicious waffles! I cut them in to a bite sized piece and took a bite and wah, wah, wah! NOTHING SPECTACULAR!
They were good but I was prepared for something more DELICIOUS, YUMMY, and that kind of goodness where you just have to close your eyes and smile! I didn’t get that feeling! I didn’t feel or taste anything special AT ALL!
It was a complete LET DOWN for me! I also had eggs and they were OK as well but again nothing special!
I saw on the menu as I was eating that you could get fried chicken with the waffles and I immediately thought OH NO! Not another place is trying to do chicken and waffles! Did they NOT learn from before!
I have no one to blame but myself! First of all its a chain and chains are not known to have SUPER YUMMY food after the newness wears off! I should have read the menu and saw that they do a chicken and waffles thing but I didn’t I ordered without looking!
They also CERTAINLY DO NOT have any laws about smoking near doors like we do in California thus I was accosted by cigarette smoke which just made me sick to my stomach!
Waffles, butter, syrup, eggs and cigarette smoke do not go together! I want to hurl just thinking about it! I do not think it is OK to smoke just outside restaurants here but I not certain if the laws have changed for all places! Soooo glad California does not allow that!
At any rate I can’t say I will miss this place once I have gone back home! They really did not WOW me in the least! Maybe my expectations were too high but then again it is called the WAFFLE HOUSE so it should AT LEAST be able to stand up to there name.
After torturing myself my mom told me they call this place the «AWFUL HOUSE» and I actually do understand why that is!

This was my go-​to Waffle House until I moved. Food was good. Service was quick, but I usually went late at night when it wasn’t busy. Just wish employees wouldn’t hang out by the front door and smoke.

I went here last night and they over charged me about $ 1.50! The place was empty, I was their only customer. I guess this is something they do late at night because they think people are drunk and won’t realize it. Well I don’t get drunk so I definitely realized it but since I had my hands full with my intoxicated friend I let it ride. And not to be mean but I always sympathize with people working at Waffle House so I felt bad for them and decided not to say anything.
The workers were really nice but will I return? Probably not because I don’t like people trying to get over on me. They better be happy I was in a good mood because I’m known for going OFF! My food was good though.
