It’s the kind of place that a family goes to for many years out of habit not for the food. The BBQ pork sandwich was dull and greasy, and the collards had little to no seasoning. The friends I went with had better luck with the salmon and the ribs which is why I gave two stars rather than one, but this IS a BBQ restaurant. You would expect their specialty to be better than a «meh, I’ve experienced better» rating.

A review for any barbecue joint is so subjective because of regional styles and tastes. So this one will focus on just one thing: the pulled pork, all-you-can-eat option that is NOT listed on the menu, but is available most days(with the exception of holidays I believe). All-you-can-eat, with the ability to switch to chicken or riblets, and with two sides from a menu of probably 8 – 10 options(with seconds offered). What more can you ask for? In over 20 years visiting I’ve always found the pork tender and their sauce with just the right mixture of spices. But, again, it’s all subjective and my tastes aren’t yours so keep that in mind when you read any review — or post one for that matter — for any BBQ place in the country. One more thing… if James is on, ask to sit in his section. You will not find a friendlier, more helpful server at any establishment.

I had been a long time fan of Williamson Bros. For over 20 years, we had enjoyed their great BBQ and amazing coconut cream pie. Our most recent experiences at this establishment was very disappointing. The ribs were overcooked and tough, and the greens were bland and undercooked. Their pie, however, is still amazing.

Consistency. Good Eats every time! Comfortable, country setting. AllYouCanEat weekdays, though not on the menu.

Williamson Bros never disappoints. My favorite thing on the menu is their potato skins with pork. DELICIOUS. The staff here is always nice and it always feels like your going to have a good time when you get inside. Ribs and chicken are pretty damn good too.

Expected better, ordered the pork sandwich and Mac and cheese, Mac and cheese on a scale of 1 – 10 is about a 4. Pork sandwich had little flavor but expected to be wowed and it was a whimper

Very bad baby back ribs. Completely over cooked. If you have a smoker like me and have watched BQ Pit Masters you would know that you should be able to put teeth marks on your rib without the meat falling off the bone. If the meat just pulls completely away from the bone the ribs are way over cooked . The ribs I got for takeout you could not even cut with a very sharp knife without all the meat falling off the bone. Do yourself a favor, buy their sauce and any ribs from the store and cook them yourself if even in your oven. Would be much better. Will not buy Williamson Brothers baby backs again. They didn’t even remove the membrane from the back side of the ribs. Very bad ribs. I decided to try them again. This time I got a rack of spare ribs with steak fries and collard greens. The collard green where great, just like momma use to cook. The fries were ok but what would you expect after a 20 minute drive home. Now for the ribs. They were pretty good. Very large meaty ribs that were cooked good. I had enough ribs in the box to feed 4 people. I don’t know if anything has changed there or if they even read the reviews. But I would have to say a great job, glad I went back.

Great BBQ the longest yard is amazing! The place looks like a dump when you first walk in but the food is really good! You can also see the kitchen so you know it’s clean. Also their Mac and cheese is some of the best I ever hard and I’m a mac and cheese Saint!

So, I’m going to start by saying that I’m really picky about my bbq. After hearing so much about Williams Bros, the hubby and I decided to give it a try. In my opinion, the pulled pork in my sandwich was too smoky(I realize there are tons of people who would rather have that flavor, but this is MY review). The Brunswick stew was too sweet. The corn on the«Cobb» was unflavored. I did order some fried pickles and they were amazing. They were large and I love the breading they use. My hubby got wings and he enjoyed those but his ribs were not sauced well. He said the meat was perfectly cooked but he did not enjoy any of the sauce choices. He also ordered the collard greens. They were undercooked, unseasoned and overly bitter. I’m giving it two stars because I feel the reputation didn’t match the food and we paid $ 70 for a dinner that we were 75% unhappy with.

I’ve held off on giving Williamson Brothers a bad review, but over the past few months I’ve tried it a few times. Each time the food was terrible. Soggy, undercooked meat in the sandwich, one big fatty chunk in the stew. Each time it was the same. Just terribly cooked and poor quality. Well today after not having gone for about a month I decided hey I’m going to give them another shot. Nope!!! Terrible food.

We got a large to go order a few weeks ago. The food was mediocre at best. Soggy fried pickles. The brunswick stew had almost no meat in it and tasted like a bowl of bbq sauce with frozen veggies thrown in. The pie was the worst though. We got 3 slices, all of which got thrown away after a few bites. The meat was good, but the price and quality of everything else leaves a lot to be desired. We have eathen there a few times, as we live just a few blocks away. The service and food are always spotty. This will be our last time eating there. What a disappointment.

NICE!!! This was my first visit to this place, I told my Hunni I wanted ribs and this was his first thought! The place was pretty empty this particular evening, we were able to get in and out pretty quickly. We were seat and greeted right away and I knew exactly what I wanted… babyback ribs, the sandwich was $ 9.99 and the plate was about $ 15, so I went ahead with the plate. I order okra and mashed potatoes as my side items and they also brought out Texas toast. Izzy was our waiter and what a great waiter he was, he was very informative and chatty, very attentive… pretty cool dude. The baby back ribs were cooked to perfection, I don’t know why or what I’ve been missing, but I was expecting the smaller rack, like the ones you get at Apple Bee’s but this was something totally different, they were huge and way more than I could eat at one setting. So, I ended up taking most of them home. Everything was pretty tasty. This place has very interesting décor, and I must say I wasn’t to fond of being greeted by stuffed dear heads and ducks, but if invited again… I will show up for the EATS! LOL

Over rated. The food is alright, but it isn’t mind blowing. Just big plates of meat with bbq sauce. Didn’t change my life, but changed my weight class for a few days — salty!

I know people love this place, but we went here last night for dinner with an organization. We did have a lot of people in the party and the service was spotty but the food is what I am rating this time around. I had the polish sausage, greens and brunswick stew. My hubby had the chicken/pork combo plate with macaroni and cheese and bruswick stew. The greens tasted like they weren’t done and the stems were crunchy with no flavoring at all. The sausage was decent. The macaroni and cheese was super good(wish I had gotten that!). Hubby said the meat was decent(the originally messed up his order and brought pulled instead of chopped as requested). The brunswick stew was awful. It literally tasted like ketchup water with corn and bits of meat in it. Not thick at all. They should call it brunswick soup.

Love love love this place. We randomly came in to eat and loved the atmosphere and food. The meat and ribs are ridiculously good. Which is good because the sides are unfortunately not the best. Not a deal breaker, they aren’t the worst, but I think they could really revise their Brunswick stew recipe! They used to have all you can eat specials on a specific weekday. Not sure if they still do that but those are fun too as long as you’re not trying to lose weight :)

Williamson Bros. BBQ catered a cookout I went to on Father’s Day. The selection included ribs, chicken, BBQ beans, green beans, bread and chocolate chip cookies.
They also included a huge aluminum pan of BBQ sauce so everyone could sauce the meats to their liking. It was literally a trough of sauce. No one could tell me if the ribs were beef or pork so I went for the chicken. I assumed the meat would be smoky but instead it tasted like regular baked chicken in BBQ sauce. The sauce was mouthwateringly good but the chicken was pretty plain. I was surprised about that. I probably enjoyed the sides more than the chicken. The baked beans were sweet in a subtle way, not cloyingly sweet like some versions I’ve had. The green beans were flavored with caramelized onions and a lot of fresh cracked black pepper. They were a bit strong for some people but I really liked them. The cookies were just average. Overall it was a nice spread courtesy of Williamson Bros. BBQ.

We were craving BBQ and have been talking about visiting this restaurant for months and finally got around to checking them out on last Friday. The place was packed and I could see why. When you walk in, you immediately find yourself headed towards the hostess and we were greeted & seated promptly. It appears that they sell t-shirts and other restaurant branded items if you’re super fans of this restaurant. The pork brisket was cooked to perfection. I liked to put my own sauce on my meat so the next time I visit, I’ll definitely ask for«no sauce» but I was very pleased with the way that they cooked their brisket. The boyfriend and I shared plenty of different sides including the mac n cheese, steak fries, mashed potatoes, Brunswick stew, baked beans and coleslaw. All the sides were exactly what you expect and were pretty standard but went great with our selection of meats. What caught my taste buds was their Brunswick stew. It’s quite different than what I’ve had at other BBQ joints because it had a very«tomato-soup like» base to it but I enjoyed it since I’m a huge fan of tomato soup. We also tried the white meat chicken & riblets. If you enjoy chicken, you’d appreciate their white meat chicken. The folks here at Williamson Bros. sure know how to make each meat option taste fantastic! For dessert we tried their pecan pie and it was a great end to our meal. We split a slice and although I’m not a huge fan of pecan pie, I was pleasantly surprised by their homemade version and would recommend it to anyone that enjoys that flavor of pie. I’m sure we’ll return when we’re craving BBQ and want to stuff our faces. It was A LOT of food and we definitely walked away with waayyyy too much food in our bellies but it a positive visit overall. Service was great and the food served was exactly what we expected.

Okay, I had an awful experience here. If you like BBQ, just get a jar of sauce and leave. I went with a good friend since we’ve both tried their BBQ sauce and liked it. He ordered a beer, and they asked for both of our IDs. We complied, but the server insisted that my friend’s ID was fake, because«it doesn’t really look like you». We really thought he was joking. Who looks exactly like their ID photo? The lighting was bad, his hairstyle was different, and oh yeah… it was taken 5 years ago, when he was a teenager! The server ended up calling the manager, who agreed that my friend couldn’t possibly be the boy in the ID photo. We were really dumbfounded, as this has never happened to either of us. Looking around, I guess they just weren’t used to seeing 20-somethings here… everyone here had grey hair or was a young child. They must avoid selling to anyone who looks under 40 whose ID isn’t picture perfect. The beer wasn’t that important, but the accusations were aggravating and seriously put a damper on our experience here. We both ordered pork, and while the sauce was as good as we remembered, the meat itself was dry. Mine had burnt bits all inside of it. The sides were nothing special, the bun for the sandwich was dry and worse than white bread at the grocery store, and I felt the platter was overpriced for what we got. It was also really cold in there for summer. Need a good BBQ place? Go to Fox Bros.

Excellent BBQ. Haven’t found a side we don’t like. The potato salad is just like we like it, mayo and a touch of mustard. Cole slaw is yummy and not too sweet. The beans are outta this world and have some pork mixed in. We all shared what we’d ordered. We tried chopped beef, pulled pork and BBQ chicken sandwich. All delicious. Next time I’m getting the ribs. Stuffed!!!

The best BBQ in Atlanta. I have eaten Fox Bros, and Fat Macs and Williamson is clearly the winner it isn’t close. The sauce is extremely good and the meat is on point good with just the right tenderness. I had the rib and chicken platter with okra, and collards. I will be a frequent flyer here! This place reminds me of the good BBQ flavor in Birmingham, Alabama. This place is doing it right and the service and speed is ridiculously fast. I order to go and was in and out within 5mins, and I ordered 2 platters! You must try this place!
