Excellent hair cut! I had to find a new hairstylist — it’s traumatizing… I saw a woman with a gorgeous haircut & asked her who cut it: Edward. He is fantastic! He LISTENS, he discusses, he suggests, can take «no», he cut my hair exactly how I requested and I also followed his suggestions. Now, I have a new hairstylist home! WOOHOO A huge weight has been lifted. You cannot go wrong with Edward «scissorhands»…

I first met Edward in 2003 when he did my hair working out of the salon Phazes. He has been my stylist for over 8 years. He has always done a great job cutting my hair with the exact style I want. I use to have long hair and when I decided to cut it short, I was a nervous wreck for fear of what I might look like, after having long hair for all my life. He cut it short and I have to say I do not miss my long hair — not one bit — he did a wonderful job. He does a great dye job, too. He is never pushy at all about doing something on my hair I don’t want done and doesn’t treat hair like it’s «fun» like a lot of hairdressers do who end up giving you what they want rather than what you want. When he cut my hair short I received so many compliments, some asking for his number.
Edward is very friendly, very accommodating and has competitive prices and he seems to love what he does. He works in the back of beauty supply shop that for the life of me, I don’t know the name of, but the good part is:

…with a 10% discount when Edward does your hair. There’s always lots of free parking which is definitely a plus considering how dense west LA is and how there is NEVER any parking that you don’t have to pay a lot of money for.
And it is because of the overcrowding and overall general atmosphere of living conditions in west LA that my partner and I moved to the east side near the San Gabriel mountains where the quality of life is so much better — but sadly, we no longer can enjoy Edward’s services and as everyone knows, finding a good hair stylist is like finding a good car mechanic — there are few of them left.
I will miss him but you don’t have to.
