Donatos Marion

I usually love Donatos but I was here at 8 pm. They close at 10 pm. They had most of there setting blocked off and they were sweeping. Dust everywhere and not even close to closing time. Inappropriate!

Donatos, for chain pizza, makes a good thin crust pie. Way, way better than pizza hut. I ordered the chicken harvest salad and it was good.

Very tasty, good food. The service was alright. I was expecting a little cheaper prices, but eh, that’s just me.

I went here for lunch with coworkers on a Thursday. They have a lunch buffet — I am not sure if it’s every weekday or only certain days. But they have it on Thursdays, which worked for me.
The pizza tasted better than I expected. For $ 10, I had a soft drink and unlimited pizza. However, being a vegetarian proved to be a disadvantage here as there isn’t much variety in the pizzas they make. I have been to pizza buffets at Pizza Hut, Cici’s, and Godfather’s, and they’ve all accommodated me when I asked for a cheese pizza or a non-​meat pizza. I can’t say the same for Donato’s. I am surprised they weren’t making more because as soon as they’d put on a cheese pizza, it would be attacked by 20 patrons and it was gone literally within seconds. But they just kept putting out pepperoni and all-​meat pizzas.
I asked the cashier if I could have a cheese pizza or a vegetable pizza and she was not very receptive to the idea. I wouldn’t say she was rude, but I wouldn’t call her helpful either. Maybe she was having a bad day? In fact, when my coworker told her the beverage machine was out of ice, she said «I know» and did nothing to remedy the situation Bad customer service.
On a more positive note, again, the pizza tasted good. I just wish I would’ve had more options. I had a couple slices of cheese and that was about all I could eat there. I didn’t feel like fighting for my meal. I would go here again if I knew there would be more vegetarian options, or at least an opportunity to request it.

This place has a cult following by the locals. Good pizza with a thin crust which I appreciated. They send packets of parmesan and red pepper flakes with the delivery.
