The environment is pretty laid back and the owner always greets us warmly when we come in. Food is very tasty and a lot of options to choose from. Accommodations are welcome. This is an awesome place to have lunch with friends and family!!!

Eaten here countless times and the food is always fresh. Best lunch buffet in town and dinner entrees are consistent. I would recommend the friend umbo shrimp appetizer and the orange flavored chicken entrée, which was what I ordered. Open space is family friendly which was great!

I used to eat here for years until the last time I went it. Terrible food, terrible service, restaurant looks dirty and gross. I didn’t even end up ordering. Surprised the board of health hasn’t shut this place down. NASTYNASTYNASTY.

So this restaurant is across from where I work. And I do eat here at least once a month, maybe twice a month. It is a decent buffet. Nothing out of the ordinary. One the one side, everything tastes relatively fresh. On the flip side, most dishes are somewhat bland and very Americanized. Don’t get me wrong… I like it. It is what it is: a $ 10 buffet. I’ll continue to go. But just know what it is. The buffet consists of about 6 entrée items, 4 appetizer items, fried rice, white rice and lo mein. There you go. A pretty consistent buffet. Enjoy :)

We have been good customers of China Taste since it opened(many years now) and we place sizeable orders every time. We got our usual order last night and the food was not the usual. It was less than average. The mini spring rolls which I absolutely love were terrible, the Lomein tasteless. I was having to spit out bamboo shoots from the veg order which were like straw. This is the first time this has happened so I called to let them know. The lady manager just said they have all same no changes and basically she just let me know it had to be us. As longstanding customers who never had any complaints before I would have thought she would have made some offer to fix it, to offer free appetizer at least for our next order. To say the least with her resistance to treat us as the good customer we are, we will not return. Unfortunately. Disappointing food, disappointing service.

I’m not sure why China taste has such low reviews. I am a fan of this places food. I would not recommend eating in because it is very quiet and usually no one is in the restaurant. The chicken fingers, pork fried rice and spare ribs are very good we always get them. They are probably the least greasy Chinese place I know of so I always choose this restaurant over the others. I will continue to return!

Terrrrible! Way overpriced and just not good way salty. I guess this is the kind of gloppy gross mess that some people like for Chinese food but it was way over priced and just not good at all. I would not recommend.

This place is nothing to look at, in fact it is a horrible looking place… but the food here is better than you’ll find in any other Cantonese style Chinese restaurant.

I want to give this place 3.5 stars… I did takeout from this restaurant twice while I stayed at the nearby Embassy Suites. The food was perfectly acceptable, if not better. They have a standard English menu and one in handwritten Chinese if you ask for it. I ordered a spicy shrimp dish and the lady asked me if I wanted it mild, regular, or extra spicy. Nice to have a choice in the matter, and I chose extra spicy without hesitation. It was nice and spicy indeed, and I liked it. Mapo Tofu was also great.

Surprisingly good for suburban strip mall chinese buffet. I got there early(11:30) so it was pretty recently laid out and fresh. All the usual suspects(fingers, rangoons, egg rolls, etc.) I’d skip the soup, but that was the only real complaint. Chicken wings and fingers were decent, General Tso not so much. Peking ravs were pan fried and better than average, big and meaty. Fresh green beans with pork and lo mein were really good – fresh veg quickly sauteed, non-greasy noodles. Clean room, pleasant attentive staff. I’d go back again.

They do have a fresh lunch buffet, and the place is clean and gets busy. The buffet is $ 8.99 I think. With tax and tip it came to $ 11.50. The servers are very pleasant and make sure you have fresh water or if you need anything else. That what makes it hard to say the food just isn’t very good. The buffet comes with soup — I got won ton and it was fresh and hot and pretty good. It was the best thing there for me. They brought me tea which was lukewarm — blechhh. That day the buffet had: won ton soup — good! hot flavorful broth with pork wontons and fresh scallions chicken fingers — lots of breading pork dumplings — way to big and burnt on bottom– but the filling was tasty fried chicken wings, — the best of all the food chicken with scallions, –didn’t try spicy green beans and pork strips — ok– had a weird flavor didn’t care for the sauce Beef and mushrooms — eh– not much flavor pork and broccoli, –broccoli was barely cooked –raw steamed white rice, /fried rice, — just ok rice veg lo mien — noodles way overcooked and dry vegetation delight, –pretty good, had decent flavor boneless spare ribs, –overcooked and hard to chew General Gau chicken, –didn’t try — don’t like it egg rolls, –too much cabbage like a spring roll and not much flavor crab rangoon.- ok not much filling but not greasy I think there were 1 other dish. So with numerous other places in the area, I will not come back here.

Expensive with low quality food is a bad combination. We wanted to try a different place for takeout and settled on China Taste. We order our usual(sesame chicken, peking ravioli, white rice and crab Rangoon). After tax, a modest tip, and an unexpected delivery fee it came to $ 38! The food was not good. The chicken was more breading than meat and the ravioli were almost blackened on one side. Really disappointing.

I had been to the restaurant with my daughter once. The food was fantastic! I decided to order take out and lots of it. The worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. The grease was so bad you could ring it out. The Lo-mien was so well cooked it was tasteless, noodles were mushy and soft. Spare-ribs were tasteless. It appeared as though they were all left-overs… Never again! I have been to some fine restaurants(Chinese) and I mean wonderful! This was as bad as it gets. and very pricey as well… Not one good thing about this food that I can honestly say.

It was okay. I got the kung pao chicken extra spicy and granted it was nice and spicy. It was perfect in that aspect which is why they got 3 stars. But the food itself had too much sauce, the chicken was too small of pieces and it just really offered nothing other than a good spicy quantity. If they fried the chicken and made crispy then maybe added more than just celery. Water chestnut thingies. Some carrots and just something it could have made it better. Thin out the a sauce a little too.

My pork fried rice or vegetable lo mein had a long piece of hair in it. I am not sure which one because they were mixed together.

I got takeout house lo mein plenty of vegetables three meets and shrimp. Sadly no taste had to dump two packets of soy sauce to get anything out of it. $ 10 could’ve been an off night wouldn’t recommend it as it stands.

I went here a few months ago and it’s taken me some time to review this place because I was hoping to come back and give it a second chance. ‘Mediocre’ is a good word for this Chinese food restaurant. I just can’t bring myself and my friends back and waste money. Don’t go here. Google Flaming Wok, put the address in your GPS and go there. Flaming Wok is the ONLY Marlborough Chinese food restaurant I have found that is fresh, good, and worth the money. This restaurant received two stars from me for greeting staff at the door and waitstaff. They are genuinely friendly and attentive. I just wish the food was better.

Good Americanized Chinese food. Amble seating and excellent service in addition to take-out. That is a BIG improvement to many of the other Chinese restaurants in the area that are primarily for take-out. We went there for dinner and ordered off the regular menu. Nothing fancy(orange flavored chicken, shrimp with lobster sauce, fried shrimp appetizer). The food was well flavored without being spicy. Could really taste the lobster in the lobster sauce. They have a full bar with a wide range of tropical drinks-little umbrellas and everything . They are in a mini mall with a market and an office max so it is easy to miss.
