I followed my stylist to Drumais and could not be happier! What a wonderful place! Christian is the greatest, and his mom, the sweetest. So many services, so much to chose from. The building is old and beautiful, I would live there in a heartbeat!

Absolutely LOVE this place– from the incredible architecture(and the story behind it) to the people who work at and run the salon, I was incredibly impressed all three times I’ve visited. No doubt if this salon was transplanted to Boston it would EXPLODE– major celeb hangout for sure. The fact that it’s hidden away in Marlborough, however, just makes it that much more special for those in the know!(Super cool fact I learned from the owner — the building used to be a shoe factory, and you can see the effects of years of dye on the gorgeous hardwood floors!) Whoever designed this place did a killer job of incorporating original architecture, period details, and other impressive antique fixtures(the lights in the main room are AMAZING) with clean contemporary style — that’s not cold or sterile feeling. Everything is clean and tidy, and the staff seems to have fun while taking their work seriously. So why not 5-stars? As of today they’ve just started in on their spa services menu… I’m looking forward to going back(soon, I hope) when I can spend a full day there, getting a cut and color, then moving into one of the other areas of the building for a massage, pedicure, and(let’s hope!) yoga class! Don’t let the location fool you– this is a metro-cool place(without the attitude!) in a suburban spot– total hidden gem(with easy parking)!

Its a work in progress. Family labor of love, 3rd generation townie. Open only Wed-Sat, check the web for available services. The owner family is entirely ALL heart and soul, dedicated to the community and committed not only to quality service, but also to refurbishing and recycling, repurposing and rejuvenating. Outside looks of the building are so deceiving… Step inside the door, and you are greeted with elegant sas, home-made art work, and preserved wood floors from the original building with repurposed wood from other buildings from town. They are growing their services — the interior is expansive and comfortable with antique finishes married with new. Rooms are classy and timeless, professional and welcoming. Really another town hidden gem. Come in curious, walk out beautified and with new friends! — I got a tour by papa Dumais, proud of his children and the love poured into the building — ITSHUGE!!! And still in motion! I went in for color, and an expired living social. Christian honored the price of the living social actually, happy to do so, even though the original purchase was for a facial. «You paid for this, you should use it!». I LOVE the color and the cut, I asked they respect the lines from my previous style(I really loved it, it was too long), and they did exactly that. Their regular prices are beyond reasonable for a salon of this nature, and its guaranteed — you don’t LOVEIT, they will FIXIT. THIS would be a fun place to hold a Unilocal event — maybe a «diva night» with free mani’s, bubbles, baubles and town gossip! Cater some food, get some zumba going, and call it a party! Seriously, the place is HUGE! Yep, Im a FAN!

LOVE this salon! The outside of the building is deceiving — the inside is gorgeous. Christian and the other members of the staff are very kind and welcoming, and Allysa(stylist) is amazing(I haven’t gone to anyone else since she started cutting my hair). She’s a wizard with thick curly hair like mine, and does amazing color as well. I recommend this to anyone in the area looking for a great place to get their hair done.

I made an appointment at Drumais after they got a ‘Best of Marlborough’ rating on Marlborough Patch. The actual salon is beautiful, modern, and clean. Both the owner and the receptionist at the front desk are friendly and accommodating. My first visit was great. Roseanne gave me a nice cut and I was pleased with how it came out, so I booked a second appointment. The second visit didn’t go nearly as well. I brought a photo, asked if she could do something similar, and she assured me that she could. The color came out awesome and I was happy with that. However, the cut was not what I had asked for. I ended up with very short layers and very short bangs– not a great look on curly hair. I know, I probably should have said something while I was in the chair, but at the time, I thought after washing and styling it the way I was used to, it might not look so bad. I was wrong. It was as bad as I thought and I couldn’t live with it for the next three days(it was a Friday and the salon wasn’t open until Tuesday), so I got it fixed a little at a cheapo place. I didn’t contact the salon following this bad experience, which I probably should have, but after such a bad cut, I wasn’t sure I wanted them to take their scissors to my hair again…

Had a pedicure here recently and was very impressed by the cleanliness, professionalism and the overall atmosphere. Amazing renovation of Marlborough building. Try this if you have not. The staff was wonderful and warm and supports the local community.
