Nick’s Roast Beef & Deli

Great People, Great Food, Great Prices… (plus I can walk there in about 3 minutes, but that is not why I am giving them 5 stars).
What’s not to like???
I wish they were open later, but so be it…

Ever since i was a kid, I have only had one sub; a Larg Italian, Mayo, no oil and everything else. Hands down, if i lived in Marlborough, i would be here many times a week. They made the best sub I have ever had (next to my home town favorite)

Best roast beef on an onion roll for the price. As for extra horseradish sauce! Their roast chicken with greek yogurt dressing is delish. I make sure that I’m there for lunch once or twice when I pass through town. Their pizza is tasty. Through I prefer another pizza place, Nick’s holds second place and is first place if I’m lazy and don’t feel like driving far. Not that it really matters, but the interior could use a fresh coat of paint and some updating to go along with their new menu board

Really good food and nice people. And they don’t take forever to make the pizza — would visit again.

This place is a little hole in the wall strip mall. It’s not much to look at and it has no air conditioning so it was seriously hot inside. But the roast beef sandwiches are delicious they are the old-​school roast beef with nice thin sliced hot red roast beef. I don’t know why I can’t find these anywhere else but around Boston but it was great. I also had the onion rings which were lightly coated and just the right amount of salt they were very good. When I’m in the area I will definitely visit again. I would have given them five stars but without air-​conditioning it was a bit uncomfortable on this almost 90° day.

Greek salad: included lots of old looking lettuce sprinkled with tons of cheese– so I wouldn’t notice?
Chicken: some pieces could not be chewed– disgarded them in my napkin.
Overall, quality is inconsistent.

Best sandwich and wraps I’ve ever had.
I keep coming back for more and they have a super friendly and cool staff! Recommended.

I got a chicken gyro. It was terrible. The yogurt dressing tasted like is was just scooped right from plain Yoplait yogurt, just an utter lack of any flavor. The chicken was just as bad and plain.
Why would I go out to eat if I could of made a better sandwich. Next time I’ll just go to subway, Spend less and it will taste better.

I am only giving this place 3 stars because they are so inconsistent about when they feel line delivering and closing. They have great food but you just can’t depend on actually being able to get it!

Great selection of food items. My favorite wrap is the Mediterranean! They also have great sandwich plate deals that include a sandwich, fries or chips, and a soda for a very reasonable price. The breading on the chicken fingers is extremely tasty! Also, the pizza is very good. The staff is quite friendly; however, the food does take a little while.

Their Monday pizza deal can’t be beat! Great quality Greek spot, only problem are their chicken salads are bland and could use some help in the taste department. But overall they use fresh ingredients and pizza/​subs are great

Let me just start off by saying. my boyfriend and I love Nick’s.
We come here once a week. the staff = great! We get the same stuff every time — two super beefs w/​cheese, a small fry, and two bottles of soda. It’s our thing and we are never disappointed!
We do however notice the price is never the same each time we go (not a complaint) it’s sort of just a running joke with us now.

Pretty solid Roast Beef shop. We pretty much never order anything but the Super Roast Beef with fries. The kids have had the pizza which seems fine (for kids, but I am a pizza snob). Only one time has my roast beef been dry and overcooked but every other time it’s been juicy and delicious. They have a really big menu but why would I ever order anything but a delicious roast beef sub?!?

I’ve been going to Nick’s for 6 or 7 years now and have never wanted to go anywhere else for a roast beef sandwich. I get the super roast beef combo every time with BBQ sauce and American cheese and it always satisfies. The onion roll is always grilled, there is always a heaping portion of freshly sliced roast beef, and the BBQ sauce is different-​tangy-​and compliments the sandwich well. The fries are always fresh as well.
My friends and I would always go visit nick during our full lunches at LS and eventually the secret got passed down to future generations. Nick always remembers my friends and I and tells us that now he gets swarms of LS kids coming in ordering 15 super roast beef combos with BBQ sauce and American cheese at a time. Nick is always around too, and for me any restaurant that is great has a very hands on owner. Nick is that and then some.
I can’t speak to their other food-​the menu has expanded a ton since it first opened-​but if you want a great roast beef sandwich there is no better place to go than Nicks. My family won’t be living in Sudbury much longer but I will always be coming back to visit when I have a hankering for roast beef, no matter how long it takes. It’s that good.

Had the Roast Beef lunch special — «Super Roast Beef» sandwich, fries and a drink for around 10 bucks. Great sandwich, the roast beef was warm and tender and it was on a high quality roll. Fries were okay, but I came for the roast beef and that was as good as I could have hoped. Definitely will be back.

Nicks first of all is so consistent! My husband and I prefer a Greek style pizza, and Nicks masters this. We are vegetarians and their menu has great options for us. Our favs are the middle eastern wrap, the eggplant calzone and the spinach feta pizza. They also have great daily specials. Only downside is the run out of certain menu items, like shrimp or eggplant. But overall there’s always something else great to choose! Delivery is always fast and friendly.

It’s funny to see the reviews below, it looks like Nick’s was once a great place and those reviews are keeping the score up.
I’ve been here 5 times and if I reviewed this place after the first time it would be a 4 to 5 star review good thing I didn’t otherwise I’d be updated this review. At first the food was great and service good; but something happened and our visits have only gotten worse every time. Some of the low lights are my daughter’s kids meal grilled cheese on a sub roll that the cheese never melted to the bread. Our calzones had the wrong ingredients also twice I asked for marinara sauce and never got any. The crab dinner isn’t strips it’s with the bellies not their fault I assumed so just adding it in so you don’t make the same mistake.
The last and I mean final time ever we ordered 3 meals and 2 appetizers 1 of which was an order of onion rings. After a 35 minute wait time (reasonable) I arrive to pick up my order to be told it’s only going to be a few more minutes. After another 10 minutes of waiting finally I get my order, head home and find out no onion rings, which I paid for. My wife called and was informed that I had left them (which I did not) but I can come back to pick them up. So I go back only to find out they never made them, my onion rings were dropped once I arrived despite My Wife letting them know that I would be there in less than 5 minutes.
During my wait I got to be told that normally the already been charged customer only comes back about half the time. However the workers took on no guilt and couldn’t even figure out how to say sorry.
It’s no surprise that the reviews are going down on this place it’s a direct correlation between customer service, order accuracy and lack thereof.
Bottom line there’s just too many options nearby for me to keep wasting my time and money at Nick’s.

Absolutely disappointed. Cold food and an hr for delivery once again! I want to like this place because it the only warm roast beef in the area.
Cold roast beef cheese was hard on it, pizza so cold looks like it’s been out for over a day sitting on a table and mozzarella sticks covered in the side sauce in the bag so soggy cold and hard.
Ew. Get your stuff together!

Ok so it was Superbowl Sunday & we were having our regular shindig at the BFF’s house & we needed somewhere that gave us enough food for a good price…
So somehow she heard about Nicks & that they had some pizza specials (boys, Kids, Who doesnt love pizza — SOLD!)…
So the special was 2 Lg Cheese for $ 10.99, well turns out you can only get 2, so ordering 8 pizzas wasnt gonna work out for us… But when we called he informed us of a special for the SuperBowl… 6 Pizzas, wings for $ 39… We were pleased & then we just called back & placed a seperate order for the 2 for 10.99 (we are soo sneaky huh?)…
So we get there & the place was very nice & clean, everything looked brand new, not like your usual pizza/​sandwich joint where the furniture looks like its been coated in grease for the last 20 years… AND it smelled PHENOMENAL in there…
So we tell them we are there & they look at my gf like we are crazy… well turns out they had wrote her name down wrong & when she asked for hers they got all nervous like they didnt make it… (well the kid who worked there did) but the Mgr quickly jumped in his ass like WTF… So I was impressed with that, make the customer feel like they are right & dont just talk shit to me while joking it off with the work!
And if you know me when I walk in anywhere Im usually checking in, so my GF was teasing me as I walk in & said it out loud «Guess whos checking in», the Mgr heard me & was like, Yeah we need good reviews & he was real personable, but it didnt seem fake just because I was reviewing them… and I told him Customer Service is great, but I have to eat it first…
To add there is a little fridge counter there at the front that has pasta salads & other little things that look quite delish! Will have to try those next time…
So we get home & the pizzas begin to disappear almost immediately… But as we go through each one there are BIG burnt holes in each one, some almost consuming an entire slice, weird — but just kinda makes you go hmmmm…
So the pizza… It was perfect crust, perfect cheese to sauce ration — but I just didnt love the sauce, it was clearly homemade which is great for subs & pastas, but for pizza it was just a LITTLE too sweet for me (and this is coming from someone who doesnt love red sauce even though Im super Italian)… so dont take my word for it…
The wings were good, everything was good… and after reading the reviews here I cant wait to go back & try the Roast Beef…
So yes we will DEFINITELY be back to Nicks, I want to try more of the menu so I can make a better decision… Ooh and upon leaving with our order the Mgr again asked me if I was going to review him & I said Yep, to which he told me to grab a 2 Liter on the house… I LOVE great customer service & that earned Nicks a great 4 stars…
I want to try more then will re-​review & bump up to 5 if warranted, I need to be fair before I go giving out my 5 stars (they are hard to earn)!!!
