I am just infuriated after my experience at this «wonderful family owned» shop. The first time I went in for my sisters prom 2 years ago, I was underwhelmed and unimpressed. This time returning for a family members mother of the bride dress, the customer service was nothing short of disgusting. The 5 star reviews on here HAVE to be from employees.

Please don’t be fooled by these obviously fake reviews.
After trying on 2 different dresses, and having a hard time deciding which one to get, They told me to go home and sleep on it and call them in the morning and let them know my decision. Although, after I couldn’t make up my mind, they went ahead an ordered «the dress that I loved» according to them! How dare them!
They actually wrote additional things on their copy of the receipt that aren’t on my receipt, trying to make it look legitimate!
This store has a NO RETURN/​NO REFUND policy, which leaves me stuck with a dress that I absolutely hate now because of this situation. And, they won’t even consider giving me store credit!
I would never send anyone I know to this store…
This «family owned business» is not worth it.

Well peninas you did it again. you women are amazing. I walked in for my fitting and they have the most beautiful fall fashions. not only do they have dressy items but their casual clothes are lovely and very inexpensive. Their staff is amazing. They know exactly what looks good on you and no pressure. Love this boutique. The very best shopping in south Jersey.

WOW! What great individualized service from this family owned business.
My family in New Jersey told me about this family owned business when my luggage was lost on a flight back east for a wedding. I was so excited to find this family owned business and even happier to find a beautiful dress for this special occasion. I walked out with more then the dress because they have such unique clothing and wonderful outfits for work. The staff was so helpful and I felt that they took the time to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Every time I visit family I now also ‘stop in’ to shop and to see what is new in the shop. It’s nice to have a place that makes you feel like you are so welcome. Now for special events I call the store and go online as well to see what they have and/​or what they can special order and have it shipped to me.

We had a wonderful experience at Penina’s. I went shopping with my mother for her dress for my wedding. After a terrible start at another store we weren’t sure what to expect. What a relief we went to Penina’s. What a wonderful group of people. The staff was excellent and were very helpful. She found a beautiful dress in a very short period of time. She was also able to find outfits for the brunch and the rehearsal dinner! Needless to say, we will be back when in need of a fancy dress or some casual options too!
