Econo Foods has a great produce section in terms of selection, quality, and price! Overall, it’s a good supermarket with a prime location off of US-41 in Marquette. They make quite a business! Other pros: –sell Yoop-Phoria frozen yogurt in pints(find the store front on Washington Street) and the ever popular Jilbert’s ice cream –open 24⁄7! –friendly cashiers –clean bathrooms

Good grocery store over all. The 24 hour is nice. Don’t have any concerns that I can think of.

I had the worst experience here today. First, the false advertised certain crackers as gluten free and I ate them, and got extremely sick! Then went back and showed the manager the false advertisement, and all I got was an apology. No compensation for this horrible mistake. They’re lucky I was not deathly allergic to gluten. THEN, when I checked out, they charged my account twice! I called to get a refund, and they said«Sorry, our bookkeeper is gone for the day, there’s nothing we can do» They made me sick from their false advertising AND they made my bank account go negative for charging me twice! Never going back.

Love Econo. I live and work so close to the store that it makes it super convenient to go anytime. I really prefer not going to stores likes Walmart and Target so I shop at Econo almost exclusively. Their rewards program has been good so far — you can earn pennies off of gas at Holiday Gas Station and you can also earn cash towards a turkey or ½ a ham around the holidays. I’m a sucker for deals so this is a nice perk for me. I’m not exactly the worldly chef in the kitchen so I can find everything I need at Econo to cook at home. I have yet to go there and not find what I am looking for. They also have a florist inside, can returns, and a full deli with a hot item bar and salad bar. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I will always return here.

When I comes to grocery shopping, this place is about as average as you can get. Where I’m from the grocery stores are constantly trying to outdo one another to attract customers with prices or aesthetic appeal. Econo doesn’t have that much competition, especially being open 24 hours. A lot of people choose not to grocery shop at Walmart or Target, so it is only competing with Super One, which is not ahead of them in either of the two previously mentioned areas. I go here because they have good deals on many things every week, but the stuff that is no on sale is not a good investment. They also have a great selection of alcohol, if you’re into that ;)

Oh, I was so glad to find Econo Foods to help satisfy my late night sweet-tooth cravings! They have a small Organic section(cereals, juices, snacks, etc) and a smaller Organic Produce section. A 3# bag of Pink Lady apples set me back $ 7 but they were crisp and fresh. I also got a bag of Cuties($ 7) and some Back to Nature chocolate chip cookies($ 4.30). The cashier was friendly, and I was in and out quickly.

So you have Econo and Super 8, S8 is a little far for me to drive being a former South Marquette’r, so I tend to ALWAYS go to Econo. I am also a little biased since I did work there during High School in just about every department. They’ve since expanded and my family couldn’t be happier. I’d like to see more catering platters premade but understand why that’s not done. Meat department is up to par with anywhere else in Marquette especially when you can get beef tenderloins for $ 5.99/lb. I still have friends that work there and they tell me that Econo still treats them very fair. Brian, the manager, is a cool cat and can help you out with anything within his managerial powers. Oh yeah, and remember, STAYOUT of Walmart, that place is NOT helping small town America.

This place is closer to my house than Wal*Mart and sells a ridiculous amount of wine and liquor… the«fake co-op» part is obviously just an attempt to get some of the natural & organic consumers, with very little attention paid to selection. The baked goods are generic and boring, the booze is tops, and make sure to steer clear of the produce. Mineral-oil-covered, rotting, and often mis-priced.
