Great Customer service… I really enjoyed my time at this restaurant. Great Hot dogs!!!

You won’t want to eat another hot dog from anywhere else after eating here. Their dogs are great especially wrapped in bacon and fried. They have a dog of the week and I always look forward to their creations. If crave something spicy go for the Italian Stallion which is a spicy italian sausage. The staff has always been above great. Not many places around anymore where it seems that the workers are happy to be there.

If you know me, you know I loveeeee hotdogs! So naturally I’d come check out Sams hot dogs! I’ve been here a few times and I haven’t had a bad experience yet. The food is really good! The hot dogs are creative and sooooooo delicious. My only complaint is they’re expensive for the amount of food you get. I wish the hot dogs were bigger! I can’t see myself coming to this place all the time — but I’ll definitely be here when I’m craving a mac and cheese hot dog. :)

Had the Sams way and coney dogs! They were good and also the Mac and cheese was very cheesy! The slaw was creamy and tasty! Was expecting taste bud explosion but that didn’t happen. I will return when wanting a different type of hot dog from the traditional!

The On the Tee dog is out of this world!!! Only Sams can take things that I hated as a kid like Pimento Cheese and make it taste awesome. Hands down my favorite stand… and yes this includes Hula Dogs and Hanks Haut Dogs in Honolulu, HI and The Dawg House in Clarksville, TN. Keith

Great dogs and great fries. They’ll even make items«no longer on the menu» if you ask nicely… the Hot Mess was excellent. The Chicago was Chicago enough for this guy from Chicago… the relish wasn’t neon green, but otherwise delicious.

I had seen several posts about this establishment and wanted to try them. I didn’t know exactly where this place was but I found it easily!!! It’s a small restaurant with an old school feel. It has a lunch counter for dining and small tables with sitting stools as well. The menu is posted on the back of the wall as you enter. I was a little overwhelmed because everything sounded so delicious and I wasn’t sure what I wanted. The cashier told me to take my time and didn’t make me feel rushed. I ended up choosing the Sausage dog meal with fries and a canned Sprite. I chose mild chili, onions, coleslaw, and spicy mustard. The first bite was EXTRAORDINARY!!! The flavor was off the charts, it was a quite delicious sausage. The fries were delicious too. They dubbed their fries as «The Best Fries in Town». They were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and had enough salt to taste, just the way I like it!!! It was quite busy while I dined here and I even got to see the owner and he explained some of the menu and recipes. He even said the restaurant was #1 on TripAdvisor and only being in business just under a year!!! This is a great establishment and I guarantee that I will be back to experience more of that deliciousness!!!

I’m not really the hot dog type. I have to have the taste for one. Honestly, it’s easier to make them at home. I’ve been hearing about this place for a while and I thought I’d wait for Mister(the true dog lover) to suggest it. Today, we were out and about and we weren’t really up to a large meal so I suggested Sam’s. He perked up and said he was just thinking about going home and making hot dogs. I was in the mood so off we went. I don’t usually visit establishments close to closing hours but we thought we’d take them to go. It was about 6:30(they close at 7) but when we arrived, there were a few people ordering to dine in so we decided to do the same. This is not a large place. It’s a small space in a small strip mall so space is limited. I do like the diner style set up. It could use a little more décor because it styled like they’re there temporarily. I’m just saying… Mister ordered the Denver dog and I ordered the Italian Stallion(I prefer a sausage any day). The staff was friendly and food was fresh and hot. Let me preface this by saying that I don’t do spicy. I probably should have asked if it was a spicy or mild Italian but I soon found out. I’m a punk. I took one bite and my mouth was on fire but not right away. I took another bite before I realized it was too hot for me.(If you’re reading this, if you like spicy, you won’t think it’s hot because Mister just considered it flavorful). Again, I’m a punk. The soda made it worse so I bought a water. Didn’t help. Sweet cashier offered me milk but I refused to punk all the way out. I gave the rest to Mister who loves extra spicy and he simply laughed at me. He enjoyed his and mine. The only issue I have is price. I wouldn’t want the food to suffer for lower prices but $ 20 for 2 people is a lil pricey but I’ll consider that the dining out tax. Could I do it cheaper at home? Yes and sometimes I might. Why did I give it a 5? Despite the inability to eat my entire dog, my first thought after the first bite was«this is really good»! The fries(I am the French fry queen) were fresh and hot and I like that they use sea salt. They did give Mister a seasoned salt option. Mister really enjoyed it. Service nor food quality was not compromised just because it was near closing time. Finally, if I know I want to go back with all things considered, it’s a 5. I’ll just be ordering something milder. Did I mention, I’m a punk?

This place is ok but nothing out of the ordinary. They have a lot of well you guessed it hotdogs. Outside of the fact they forgot to put part of my wifes order in the bag the food certainly wasn’t worth the price.

Went here earlier today to this small hot dog shop while I was on that side of town, and was pleasantly surprised. They have quite a few different options, with a huge variety in toppings. I ordered the chubbs chili dog(mac and cheese and chili) and a sam’s choice(chili, onion, slaw) dog. Both were tasty, with my favorite being the sam’s choice of the two. For a side, I ordered fries. They were just typical crinkle fries. Service was fast and friendly. That being said, there are 2 reasons this wasn’t a 5 star for me. The first, and biggest reason was the price. These are some expensive dogs. It was $ 20 for a few dogs, fries, and water. The 2nd reason is because of the price, I would expect the dogs themselves to be a little larger, or special in someway. The toppings definitely outshine the dogs themselves. If you don’t mind paying a little extra for hot dogs, this is the place for you.

I ordered the Mac Attack dog, and it was delicious! My two favorite things are Macaroni & cheese and hotdogs, and I feel like they paired the two perfectly. The people who worked there were very friendly and knowledgeable and made my experience enjoyable! I would highly recommend giving it a try. It is a very unique restaurant.

I finally made it back to try the all new Chicago dog! I was pleased with the results. The only negative was that all the juices from the relish and onions made the bun super soggy before I could finish. The flavor was all there though. I gave the atomic dog another shot as well since I was told that there must have been a mistake with my last order. The owner said the atomic chili is quite spicy and he wasn’t lying. This time the chili definitely had a nice kick. It was cold though :(I think because they had only been open 15 minutes they chili hadn’t heated up all the way yet. I know where to go now anytime I have a craving for franks of any variety. WAY better than that rubber the sell and sonic’s.

So being from NY I’m a little biased on my hotdogs. I’ll search near and far for the perfect hot dog. When I found this little place I was definitely stoked. Nothing like easy food made delicious. Now I’m partial to my «dirty water» hot dogs but this place is an awesome replacement until I can visit NYC again. The owner is really nice and takes pride in remembering clientele. Offers a military | Teacher | and Police/Fireman Discount.(As a service member I love seeing others appreciated for their hard work too) They have some awesome weekly specials and some very interesting options. Can’t go wrong with a slaw-dog of a sauerkraut dog. Get some of their Mac and cheese too it’s pretty awesome as well. Would love to see this place expand a little as the shop is tiny and fills up with servicemembers quickly as well as locals stopping in for lunch. But with a brief wait you can usually snag a spot at the bar or a table outside. All in all of you want a great hotdog, go to SAM’S!

Stopped in at Sams today as I was out drying the motorcycle off. Had a couple dogs Sam’s way and all I can say is they were great. The slaw and chili were some of the best I’ve had, lots of flavor and texture. I am glad to see Sam’s is still making a go of it and have seen and tasted marked improvement in the food and service. Way to go!

The owner really knows the importance of spectacular customer service. Every employee was pleasant and knowlegeable. I am a true hotdog fan. I ordered the Pulled Pork BBQ DOGwich, the Auto Bahn, and the Hot mess. The toppings were all so fresh and savory. I wish the hotdog itself were larger and had more flavor. I will return for seconds!

If you haven’t been to Sam’s Hotdog Stand yet, why not? What are you doing with your life that you can’t enjoy a macaroni covered dog? The prices won’t break even the smallest bank so get yourself one of the eight dog styles they offer in addition to the build your own option. If you’re in a hurry try the drive-thru window, they accept cash and credit. The dogs only take a few minutes to arrive, but they are getting busy around lunch.

I’m always stoked to try a new restaurant, and I had high hopes for this little hot dog joint. Unfortunately, there was just nothing special about it. All the food was grocery store quality(dogs, buns, fries, chips), the drink selection was pretty weak(no water or unsweetened tea available), and it was all way overpriced. If you have a real hot dog craving and are in the area, it’s worth trying out, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to make a visit. I will admit the interior of the store looks really neat, and I think some effort by the owners to increase quality and work out service kinks could turn this place around into a 4⁄5 star hot dog joint down the road.

Update as of 7÷22÷15: I went back to Sams hot dogs and was impressed by a few key changes they made since my last visit: They added more seating(outside), added a few new hot dogs(Italian sausage/bratwursts) to the menu, and those new additions are bigger than the regular all beef hot dogs. However, the price is higher for them(almost 10 bucks for an Italian sausage, fries, and can of coke)…I’m happy with the improvements, yet the price and wait time is still a little high — but I know they’re quality dogs :-) I appreciate the owner Rob reading/responding/taking action on the reviews. Initial review: I’ve been so excited for this place to open ever since they had their«coming in January sign outside»…it didn’t open until April, but that’s okay. As soon as it opened I had to go checkout these hot dogs! Now the inside décor is good, however there is very limited seating inside. Their 2 dog combos come with chips and are about 8 bucks and they charge an extra .70 cents for fries. hot dogs are almost $ 4 each individually. Now, don’t get me wrong, they have variety(my fav are called the MOOing Pig and Atomic Dog), but their hot dogs are very small(not ball park size at all) and most of them are very«standard» in taste. I just think the price is very high for the type & taste of hot dog you get. If they increased the size of the hot dog they’re using, lowered their combo prices, and had a bit more variety of hot dog it’d get a better
