Looks like it went out of business. We drove by February 13th. Someone is preparing to open a new place there.

Took 45 to make a few simple meals in empty restaurant. Eggs came out cold. Asked if we needed boxes after 3 minutes of eating. Most importantly be prepared to be bombarded with Christian paraphernalia!

I’ve been here 3 times. All three times I had great food priced right. You can tell they use use fresh ingredients and cook the food to order. The service was great and I walked away knowing I’d return. I gave four stars only because the inside could use some updates. And they only have street parking which at times could be a pain. The food for the money is worth it.

Stopped here on our way back from a fishing trip in Birdseye Indiana. Nice little place, service a little lacking but friendly. We had the fried appetizer basket which was amazing, every appetizer was delicious especially the fried pickles, best I’ve ever eaten. We moved on to the soup and salad bar, this was pretty good even though we arrived at closing the items were still fresh and pretty good We finished with a couple of pizzas which okay for a small-town Café. Bottom line i highly recommend this restaurant it was clean the service was pretty friendly and the food was pretty good. No complaints.

The burgers are insanely good and priced reasonably. You should defiantly try the friend pickles too. Mildly addicting.

Friendly waitress but admitted that she forgot to come back to check on me … which was a shame, because the biscuits and gravy were delicious but the side of bacon was so undercooked it was half raw and inedible.

This place is a great Diner. The food is well prepared and very reasonably priced. The service was great, I was very impressed with the wait staff. I would definitely return.

What a pleasant little surprise tucked away downtown. I only took some cookies and a cheesecake with blueberry crumble to go, but it was enough to make me come back anytime. The peanut butter cookie with filling was awesome. Not to peanut buttery, just right! My husband was sad we had to split it. Lemon cookies were good to. Now the blueberry crumble cheesecake was just downright delicious. It’s the type of cake we all wish we could make, but just don’t have the time. It was fresh, creamy, and heavenly. I will be stopping in for more treats on my drives from Mooresville to Bloomington!

Great Reuben and the peanut butter cookie sandwich was to die for. Waitress was very nice and helpful. Will stop in next time I am in town.

Stopped here on my way back from Bloomington, and I’m so glad I did. They offer pretty standard fare like burgers, sandwiches, pizza, salad, etc, but it was all prepared so well– and with homemade bread! I had the fried haddock sandwich, and chose the soup of the day, summer squash and sausage, as my side. The sandwich was great and BIG, and the soup was truly exceptional. My boyfriend enjoyed his pasta salad and veggie panini, particularly the bread. I got four pastries to go, and the total came to $ 26. Great deal and great food in a very cute town square.

I have had lunch here a time or two, but today I am reviewing the wonderful bakery part of The Mixing Bowl: Truly as good as it gets! All home made and delicious. Everything from donuts and coffee cake to peanut butter pie and my personal favorite, the Italian Cream Cake; fresh and fluffy cake with cream cheese icing just like my mom makes. Love it! Today I noticed that they also have an espresso machine and all the fixings! Can’t wait to try a latte!

My husband and I love this place! Great food, friendly service. The owners are awesome people. The burgers are pretty much the best we have ever had. And we LOVE burgers. Also they have an amazing selection of cakes and pastries, so good! We have been 4 times and will definitely be back!

The best Ruben I’ve ever had. Bread was made in house, tosted, and was moist. The décor was something I would have in my own place. GF had the tenderloin sandwich. Again was equally good. Meat was moist(not dried and dripping with fatty oil) water tasted like bottled. Potato soup was delicious. Will come again.

Wasn’t expecting this kind of charming home-made type place in Martinsville. Had a great chicken salad sandwich(albeit oddly yellow) there. Soup was way too salty for me though. Owner waited on us and was very personable. Best part? Bakery case with homemade(I think) cannoli! Great location right on the square near the candy shop. Avoid the chains and send some love the way of the Mixing Bowl!

Great people, great food, daily specials, today’s breakfast was outstanding. Best salad bar in town. Give ‘em a try.
