Edible Arrangements

Absolutely ridiculous. My wife wanted an arrangement from here for her birthday so I figured I’d have one sent to the school she works at. Even after purchasing days in advance and notifying them she worked at a school, the shipment was still late. I’ve read multiple bad reviews about this company, but figured since this is what she wanted I’d take a chance. Guess I learned my lesson.

My friend ordered me an arrangement from this store, because it’s the closest to my house. She knows I work during the day so she made sure they could deliver in the evening, and they assured her evening delivery was no problem.
I came home to a «sorry we missed you» notice on the door, and it said they tried to deliver at 11.45 AM. I called the next day to request they re-​deliver in the evening when I will be home. The manager I spoke with was very rude: he said they tried to deliver, and they would have to charge again if they made another attempt. I pointed out that my friend requested evening delivery and he said «well we tried in the evening too, we actually tried twice but nobody was ever home.»
Honestly, I don’t know if he was lying or not. Maybe they did try again before I got home. But why did they try to deliver at all during the day when they knew I would not be home (because she told them that when ordering, and requested evening delivery)? And then try a second time, at the actually-​requested time, and leave no notice or proof they tried again? The whole thing seemed really shady.
He also said they tried to call me and my friend who placed the order, but «all the numbers were wrong.» When I asked about my options, he said «well I’m going to have to call the customer who placed the order and discuss it with them, because it will be another charge if we try to re-​deliver.» I asked how he was going to call her, since he had «all wrong numbers,» and he didn’t really have an explanation for that. Like I said: shady.
So I ended up leaving work an hour early and driving to the store to pick it up myself. And lo and behold, the same manager was there working the front counter. I was going to complain, but honestly there’s no point telling the rude guy that he’s rude. He knows; he’s aware. He continued to be unfriendly: no smile, no thank you, no «have a nice day,» nothing. Just handed me my stuff. I think he remembered me from the phone.
The reason this review isn’t one star: the fruit was delicious and appeared no worse for the wear after sitting in their cooler for an extra day (because of their delivery failure), and the arrangement itself was beautiful. So: excellent product, terrible customer service.

The arrangement was very small and not like the pictured item. I ordered my item 2 weeks before delivery date. It was to be delivered literally 5 blocks away. It took them til 1:00 to delivery the item and my boyfriend had already left for the day because he starts work at 6:00. So I had to leave work early to go pick up the arrangement. It should have been delivered before lunchtime. Every other time I have ordered flowers or cookie bouquets it has never taken that long for the delivery to be made. And the stores have always been closes to where they need to be delivered.
So for $ 12 delivery charge I had to pick the arrangement up. Next time I’ll stick with flowers or cookie bouquets. You get a lot more for $ 50 and prompt delivery.

I kept on dismissing this service when perusing the in-​flight airline magazines. Their advertisements are plastered all over the magazines. «who would want this stuff!!!»
Ok, low and behold I was wrong. What do you give to a mother who doesn’t want flowers because they die, and is trying to stay healthy. Give her a fruit arrangement from here! Amazingly, some of the fruit wasn’t even in season yet it was part of this arrangement. It was an impressive sight and we brought it to a nearby restaurant for birthday lunch. It became our appetizer odd as it sounds. The service was polite, helpful, and prompt. The price is very affordable.
