The food was pretty disappointing, especially for such high reviews. We ordered a curry which was just okay and the pad see yew needed more flavor and zest. Overall, there are much better Thai restaurants in the Stl area that you can go to. This place wasn’t cheap either. The staff was nice and wait time wasn’t bad either.

Strip mall. Big TV up on wall. Very nice staff. We ordered the Ginger Entrée(E1), which we found to be quite bland(think Chinese take-out mixed veggies… the ginger is added as an after-thought and the flavor does not blend with the sauce), and the Pad See Yu(N25) which was ok/meh. I had to go to the counter to ask for my check… they’d forgotten about us.

Service was very bad, had to wait 5 minutes to be seated though the restaurant was empty. Me and my wife ordered 2 dished yellow curry noodle soup and spicy noodles. We got the yellow curry in 5 min but we had to wait for more than 25 min for spicy noodles . Talking about food, yellow curry was ok but spicy noodles was not well made and we had to pack the whole thing up.

This is my second time in St. Louis and my husband wanted to try a Thai restaurant. I wish we’d gone somplace else so he could see(and taste) what it is supposed to be like. This is not to say I didn’t like my food. On a positive note, what he ordered(eggplant with pork(S6)) was delicious. They give ample portions of rice. The room has lots of seating, looks clean, and the staff is really attentive. What I did not expect was our Spring rolls(normally made with thin rice paper) being rolled with the bread used for wrap sandwiches. See photo. And the chicken satay looked fried. The portion was large, but the chicken pieces had a char on it used in Chinese dishes. The Panang Curry was loaded with large slices of green pepper and the sauce was thin. The color was not as vibrant. If you go there, just know what you’re getting.

Seriously $ 12.99 for wonton soup. It also had bbq pork in it but when I asked just for wonton soup he still wanted to charge me $ 10. That’s crazy! I was sick and really wanted soup so I just ordered it but… Wasn’t even very good. Soup was just ok. Service was also not good. The old man who helped me was rude!

The Thai Kitchen is a small family run affair, with unique menu items that are truly Thai in nature. While my wife and I absolutely love the width and depth of the menu, those who fail to deviate from standard Chinese venue’s should be willing to try something different to enjoy. Last night I had spicy Catfish. The fish was not«deep fried» in cornmeal, rather it was enrobed in a soft flour which after simmering in the gravy had a soft and wonderful texture. The chunks of eggplant were wonderful and plentiful. I did remove the excess green peppers, but that is just a personal taste thing. When Thai Kitchen says the dish is spicy, they are not kidding. What they don’t say is just how tasty and wonderful their food is, and it truly is a 4 star restaurant. The prices are very reasonable and the portions generous. My wife loved the Pad Thai, a wonderful standard, which is a bit sweet for my taste. The only«criticism», is that once again my wife was served her main course five minutes before mine came out. I am old school and like when a table of two is served their meal at the same time.

We ordered food from here based on the reviews but we weren’t that pleased. We got sweet and sour chicken, cream cheese wontons and pad Thai. The pad Thai was decent but the sweet and sour and wontons were just not up to par. The wontons were really tough and the sweet and sour lacking. I think for Missouri it was probably considered good but I have a love for Thai food and this wasn’t the best. Nice staff though.

This place was a fun meet. The food was delicious, and very affordable. The only thing I didn’t like was the didn’t ask how spicy we wanted our food. We love our Thai food spicy, like REAL spicy. Thai places usually don’t believe us, but we will make them smile with our hilarious spice faces! The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and the whole experience was a positive one. If you are in the mood for Thai, this is a place to stop in.

A vast menu here offers virtually superb fare for anyone’s appetite to be satisfied. My daughter and I have been here a multitude of times, even ordering pickup and delivery. We are slowly making our way down the entire menu, savory for tasty dishes and flavorful specialties guaranteed to piqué the culinary interest of both the amateur and established cultural foodie who lurks around restaurants offering ethnic cuisine. The ambience is casual, the staff and service warm and friendly, not to mention quick and attentive. Heartily recommended!

Been here many times with family and friends! Always had great food and time! Tonight, I went there for dinner and it was the worse food ever with terrible and rude customer service! They were not even busy so I don’t know how the food they served me which was Pad Thai could taste this terrible! I’m just going to say the owners were absolutely rude when I asked for another order because the chicken had a strong scent to it, they started to yell in their language and also slammed our check on the table! So without trying to flip out for acting like that I just want to pay for my Thai ice tea and leave! I won’t ever come here again that is for sure! Still can’t believe the owners of the restaurant would try to make a scene and act like that to a returning guest!

Thai Kitchen? More like Thai Bitchin’! Love this place. Especially the intense fear I get when the waitress stares upon me for my order. Enormous servings — as expected.

Thai kitchen is tied for my favorite Thai restaurant in Saint Louis. The food is always great and the service is always on point. I used to get carry out from here on a regular basis, however if you eat in you get a 10% discount! To get the discount code you just need to go to their website. My favorite thing to get is the Panang Curry with beef. I do wish they would use red peppers instead of green, however that is not a deal breaker. The Pad Thai is also very good here. For people that are sensitive to spice the Pineapple Fried Rice is awesome and very sweet instead of spicy. All things considered I would give this place a solid 4 out of 5 stars. If prices came down a little bit and if they would use red instead of green peppers this would become my favorite Thai restaurant in Saint Louis and it would get a full 5 stars!

Love this place! I usually end up coming here at least once every time I come back home and it’s always really great. The waitress that usually serves me is really friendly and will remember you by name if you come here often enough. I usually get the Green Curry but thought I’d switch it up and get the Yellow Curry. To be honest, I didn’t really taste any difference between the two besides the obvious difference in vegetables. I guess it’s also been a while since I’ve been here, and my taste buds could have just been craving the coconut cream base. The portions are also really big for the price. I usually can’t finish my plate and end up taking some in a to-go box. Be sure to try the Thai Iced Tea!

You know the saying, «Second time’s a charm» well not in the case of Thai Kitchen! Although my Tom Yum Noodle Soup was pretty delicious the service was a catastrophe! I had to ask for things over & over & over, my server completely disappeared in the middle of my dining experience and I was only 1 of 2 tables, I never got a water refill, never asked if my meal was ok, when I did need something I had to get up from my table and go ask the lady at the counter who acted as if she was so preoccupied with tallying receipts and taking phone orders it made me feel as if I was bothering her. Finally I had to go up again and request a take out container after I had waited forever for the server to return. This would be an indication that I was done and ready for the bill. You guessed it… server never came over with the bill. I got up AGAIN to go pay. I paid my exact total; the gentlemen(owner I assume) gave me a dirty look… I smiled, said thank you and gladly left his establishment with certainty I’d never be back. I DONOT reward poor service. Tip deeeeezzzz, ~Christy

This place is totally amazing. Their pad thai is delicious and so is their Thai iced tea. Every time I go with my mom, I always order the chicken satay no matter what because it. IS. ABSOLUTELY. AMAZING! The peanut sauce is so good and the pickled veggies on the side aren’t too bad, but I usually ignore them since they cause my stomach to hurt sometimes(my stomach isn’t a fan of cucumbers). I used to get the chicken satay and pad thai every time, but my friend recommended for me to try the Spicy Basil(ground chicken or ground beef, I believe). Now every time I go, I opt for the Spicy Basil chicken and my mom likes to order the spicy frog legs. When they put the word spicy, they literally mean SPICY. Good thing we order the Thai iced tea cos that usually tones down the burning sensation. 4⁄5 because occasionally the service isn’t… The best. One time a waitress gave us the wrong take out box twice and in the end we just ended up stuffing the small containers with our leftover food(which was a lot, portions are pretty big).

Pros: Massive servings. Cons: Pretty cramped and BUSY during my lunch visit, no lunch menu(or lunch plates), sorta pricey, service isn’t friendly, food doesn’t have great flavor. Details: Stopped here for lunch with co-workers and had to wait for a little to get a table for 3. Once we did, the table was wiped with a wet towel and menus slapped on top. Gross. Menu has no lunch offers… or at least I didn’t see any available. I paid $ 11 for Panang Chicken Curry. It arrived with little flavor. A massive scoop of steamed rice. Very few bell peppers too. It wasn’t great at all. Co-workers ordered Pad Thai and Sweet and Sour Chicken. Chicken on both dishes looked like sliced chicken and not cut chicken(you probably know what I’m talking about). It wasn’t good. Considering the Unilocal reviews, I thought this place would rock. It doesn’t.

I have been to the Thai Kitchen several times for lunch. It’s always crowded and for the most part, the food is good. We went for lunch the other day and ordered two staples: fresh spring rolls and pad thai with chicken. The spring rolls were pretty awful. They were wrapped in a kind of flour tortilla wrap — nothing like the thin rice paper I’m used to. The wrapping crumbled into powder when you ate it and the result was just plain weird and wrong. The pad thai was okay. We’d had it there before. it’s nothing special. No heat level was requested and no hot sauce was offered. We had to ask for Sriracha. As usual, the service was gruff and inattentive. We never got a ticket, then they couldn’t find it at the counter either. They finally did get it done. I’ll probably be back because it’s convenient for lunch and the food is fine. Of course I’ll never get the spring rolls again, which is a pity.
