I love Ross except their price stickers that are actually on a surface like china or photo frames– took me 10 minutes to get off the glass of a photo frame. I bought a full set of 12 mugs, plates etc with a sticker on each one– what a nightmare.

I read the reviews here before I went and was surprised at how neat the store is and how polite the clerks are. I was greeted by the security in and out. And my cashier was super nice!

Ross is a crap hole. Pretty much anyone that you go into is stocked with off name clothes. They used to be really good about carrying name brand stuff that didn’t look like it would fall apart after one wash. Store is always a mess no matter what time of day you go. You could go right when they open and it would still be a mess. Lines are always 10 deep with 2 cashiers. Rude, rude customer service. I had found a bean bag chair that had no tag on it, lugged it up there, cashier stares at me with a blank look«It’s $ 24.99, do you want it or not?» Nope. I got it today for $ 19.99 at the Ross by my work. Security follows you around, parents let their kids run around in the toy department with no regard for other people shopping, staff doesn’t care nor do they do anything to rectify the situation.

The good: clean and well-organized; GREAT prices. The bad: SO concerned with shrinkage that this place makes an honest bargain shopper feel like a criminal. Security guards, stern demeanor, etc. The ugly: Employees, including management, all need lessons in not only retail customer service, but in politeness and basic human decency. A manager had to come over and complete my transaction and was the biggest, rudest douche I’ve ever seen with a name badge. Totally unfriendly, to the point of near-hostility. I’ve worked retail; I generally go out of my way to be friendly and polite with everyone I encounter but it’s like they actively TRY and ruin it for you here. To top it off, the cashier who helped me had a nasty cold, so bad I could actually SEE snot dripping out of her nose and I watched in horror as she wiped it over and over with her fingers and the backs of her hands, then smeared it on her blouse and pants. I dug a sealed package of herbal tea out of my bag and told her to have it on her break to help and she didn’t even respond. So much for trying to combat revulsion with kindness.

Customer service is baffling. I was made to go back into the fitting room to retrieve a coat hanger that I had accidentally left in there for a pair of jeans that I was going to purchase. Will never come back here again. I would have complained to the manager about the rude staff but a person can tell just by walking into the store that no pride or care is put into it.

Tons of stuff, cheap and I find many treasure here. Waiting in line to pay for your shit, it’s a disaster. On top of that, their shopping carts can not be taking out of the store. Avoid buying large items if you can’t lift anything heavy.

For the most part it’s a Ross. I stopped in to get some gift bags and paper to stuff in the bags. They always seem to have a great deal on that. Though the only downfall is the wait to get out of that place. I think I took about 10 minutes in the store browsing and then about 20 minutes waiting in line. They had 5 people checking out but it was still a long line which is annoying I think…

Out of all the Ross stores north of Seattle this one off of the 202 exit is by far the cleanest. Quick moving employees with fast hands moving customers purchases through the scanners gets customers out the door instantly. You wouldn’t be in line for no more than 4 minutes on average. Positive attitude and high morale within the employees make the shopping experience far better than any other Ross stores.

I love all Ross’s in general. The appearance of this store is very clean. They seem to have a little more of a selection then other Ross’s I’ve been too. The staff is really nice and helpful.

A Ross is a Ross is a Ross. Our friends from Vancouver were steered to the Marysville Ross by a Canadian tour guide that regularly makes trips to Seattle. My least favorite Ross(downtown Seattle) is a pit, so with that recommendation I naturally thought that one in the far ‘burbs would be a bit better. Not so much. This one looked like a small tornado tore through it. I didn’t have the patience to stay there and endure the cheesy muzak and disorder. Luckily for my hubby, we weren’t in the market for anything, otherwise we would have stood in a line 10 people deep. Our friends made it out with 2 huge bags, though. There were also plenty of families and cars from Canada in the lot. There must be something to this place, but it just eluded me.
