Just a quick update that this was the Skyline at Kings Island — in the park — NOT the Mason location that I checked into. Sorry about any confusion!

I really like the location of this place, it is right by KI and beach water park. I love how they have a train going around the restaurant all the time and the layout is a little different from other skylines.

I love skyline chili. It was great anytime I’ve had it In Indiana and I figured being in Cincinnati. Where it’s home, it would be on top of its game. Well there wasn’t much wrong with the food, but the service was definitely lacking. I can’t stand when you somewhere and the waitress actually has the gaw to argue back about what you ordered. The food saved the place from a one star.

This place needs to be closed. I’m not sure what is going on here. It’s very dirty and disorganized. The employees act like they are not really present in the situation. They forgot half our order and when we asked where it was, we had to repeat ourselves three or four times using different wording. Detriment to the brand. Our Skyline in Cols has some of the friendliest service around.

Our waitress was friendly and attentive but the bathrooms were disgusting. My girlfriend said there was urine all over the women’s toilet seat. The tables were also dirty. They do have crushed ice which it’s a plus. The food tasted fine.

I have to echo the statements by others. It is a bit of a dingy location. Generally unorganized looking. Not only that, the location seems very dated. Straight out of the 1980’s. I think I saw Magnum PI at the bar. The food was just ok. Looked like I got the bottom of the bag of cheese dropped on my coney. Definite meh. I mean I guess go because the Beach’s food prices are insane and you can walk here, but don’t go out of your way. And if you’re passing through town and want to try Cincinnati chili for the first time, go to another location

Pass — go to another Skyine. It’s only getting one star, well, because it’s Skyline, and I love Sklyine. We stopped in the Waterpark Dr location this afternoon(approx 1:40pm), and it was filthy, by filthy, I mean it looks like it had not been cleaned in days. I am attaching the pictures so you can see for yourself how disgusting the restaurant is. The associates had their belongings strewn about taking up 4 seats at the bar and two tables. They actually had Skyline uniforms, clothes, open purses, bags, cell phones and vapes laying around as well as food and drinks — no one was even attending to them. A sweeper was plugged into a outlet right next to our table, the only clean one we could find — not even sure why it was there — who knows when the sweeper was last used. The tables were a mess, the garbage was overflowing, they had a chili pot sitting in the middle of the floor, and our waitress was less than thrilled to be there. Even though the food was decent, I would never return to this location based on the dirtiness of the restaurant. Clean it up, and please make the associates wear clean uniforms — there is no way they got that dirty in under ½ days work :-(. Gross!

I read the previous reviews about this place being dirty. But, since they were right across the street, I went anyways. Plus, EVERYONE says«You have to eat at Skyline’s». This is a nice place. It was clean. The service was faster than fast food. And I thoroughly enjoyed my 4-way with onions. I’m sure I don’t have to post a picture of my empty plate for you to believe it. Worth the walk for sure!

Conveniently located right off the highway. The service was excellent as we sat at the counter. Our waitress was friendly and the service was quick. Food was good for a «fast casual» meal. It’s a must stop in Ohio!

Absolutely awful service, as bad as the chronically lazy and briarish service employees of the Lebanon area can achieve. Our lunch on a Sunday after church literally took 2 hours. We were overlooked by the wait staff when we sat down for almost 30 minutes. And we saw a table seated at the same time we were seated get served, eat, pay and leave before we even saw our food. Some items were cold. The manager(whom I blasted to her face) was absolutely clueless about prioritizing service. These people are idiots.

Our waitress was nice so that’s the only star this place is getting… We eat at skyline a lot. Never had a bad experience but this place is dirty! The manager said they just got slammed, and he was trying to get the place cleaned up. At least 5 employees were standing around talking and playing on their phones or eating/drinking. Instead of cleaning. Tables and floor and even the windows were filthy!

Extremely disappointed. I was told that I MUST visit this place whenever I came into town and did. I ordered a regular 3-way and it was everything but good. Spaghetti was cold and there was more cheese than there was chilli. Waitress came to our table with the wrong orders and gave us our checks before we were even halfway into our meal. Definitely not worth the 6 bucks I spent for my meal.

Quite possibly the scariest Skyline Chili I’ve ever been to. I haven’t been to all of them, but enough to know this location isn’t up to snuff as others. Walked in, saw the condition of the restaurant and walked out.

2 stars might be a little generous. The food and service were ok, but cleanliness is clearly an issue here. The smell of vomit was so strong that we couldn’t stand to sit at half a dozen tables in the restaurant. Many of the other tables were dirty. I realize that this place is probably overrun with children creating messes during the day due to the close proximity to Kings Island and The Beach, but the staff should really make cleaning a higher priority. This is a shame because I really do enjoy Skyline, this just isn’t probably the best location to have it.

Seriously… This place was absolutely gross. We walked in last night with our two kids hoping for a good dinner. We are in the area on vacation and heard this is a great local place to eat. Sadly, it was so disgusting when we walked in that we didn’t ever get to the booth. There was food allover the floor and the waitresses were standing around. We turned around and walked right back out.

Interesting to see 4 employees sitting down at the bar eating pizza/hanging out? The 3 behind the bar were actually working. Service was good still but the owner may be able to make a bit more profit from people not milking the clock/advertising & eating pizza from another establishment. :) The pizza was actually was delivered by Domino’s Pizza to the bar. At first there were 4 at the bar then shift change seemed to happen & then there were 8 or more. Not exactly professional but there was a lack of education to the contrary I do believe. Over all our sever was good so we were not affected by the pizza party but it was worth a mention for the owner/management to handle this information how they see fit. Happy Eating! TC

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was fairly surprised with how bad things were. Had to walk around to find a clean table as the entire restaurant was a mess. The place was empty and the employees were just standing around. Silverware on the floors, tables weren’t bussed, and employees had food out in the kitchen bar. They had their coats sitting out on the tables. Floors had food EVERYWHERE. At least the food was good. I suppose the managers were out…

Being from Indiana where we have no Cincinnati chili(other than what you can buy frozen or canned in the super market) I have to love this place. It is certainly true that the harder it is to get something, the fonder its memory is in your mind. So that’s my problem. I can’t drive by a Skyline without stopping, especially this one, which cruel fate has chosen to place directly on my route. If I have time, I go inside for a 5-way upside down.(you get more sauce that way — so if you like the sauce a lot…) If I’m in a hurry, it’s one or two coneys to go with something to wash ‘em down. The crew in this store is always helpful and nice. I like the booths the best, but when you sit on the stools at the counter you can see them put your meal together. My one small cranky note about the franchise is that the hot dogs keep getting smaller. I hope it will not get to the point where we need a magnifying glass and tweezers to enjoy them. Hey, you corporate brainiacs! Why not just charge a little bit more and give us a normal size hot dog?

This goes for all Skyline Chili or Gold Star Chili… if you are NOT from SW Ohio, you might be tempted because of all the hype and how much people seem to like this stuff. So you might want to try it. DON’T. Imagine taking pasta, opening up a can of Alpo, dumping that on top and than heaping more cheese on top than a human should consume in a week… there you go. Oh, add onions if you want too… Ugh. Just. Don’t. Do. It.
