Somerset at Deerfield is in a terrific location. As a small family, you cannot beat being far off the main road, but between WalMart and Kroger. The peaceful, well-maintained complex is less than a mile from Cottell park(a nice walk past horses) and Skidaddles(drop-in anytime child care my toddler loves). It’s a parent’s ideal spot. There’s a walking path around the pond, plenty of large grassy areas and dog bag stations, a pool, tennis court, laundry facilities(if you’re not renting [$ 35/mo]), sand volleyball net, and picnic tables. It looks like the town homes have fenced in yards. There is plenty of parking! I have a 2br/2ba on the 3rd floor, and it’s large, flows nicely, has lots of light and openness, and is quiet. BIG windows! It has LOTS of storage: laundry room, foyer closet, 2 bathroom closets, 2 walk-in closets! Oh, and a storage closet off the giant balcony. There are mostly families and young professionals here. The neighborhood kids are really sweet — you can see them riding their bikes around. The people at the office are fabulous. Holly is our hero — she got us in here in 1 day after we had spent a whole week in a hotel! With a baby. And a dog. Somerset is a terrific place to rent from, and our family is very happy with it.

Great location, good units, HORRIBLE management. The exterior of the complex is rather dirty. There is trash in the hallways most of the time. They are habitually late for trash pick up. When it comes to turning rent in… you better make sure that you walk it in yourself. I had my rent set up in bill pay to get there the same time every month. They have said several times that I have«turned in late rent» and when that happens… its a $ 100 fee! So unless you can provide actual proof you are better off just handing it to them. I love the location but I will NOT be signing another lease with them.
