got the vodka pizza and my husband ordered the bianca with garlic. OMG, i couldn’t wait to wake up the next morning and eat my leftover pizza. It was soo gooooood, as good as the best artisan pizza joints in brooklyn. Can’t wait to come back to try other pies! and they are sooo friendly. Vodka sauce sooo good. i want it now! But, i do have to say, maybe, there should be more cheese on it so there is cheese on each slice. I have slices where it was just sauce. BUT… the sauce was so good that maybe screw the cheese??? I don’t know. for presentation, there should be cheese on each slice.

I am not really sure what I think of this pizza. I got the Margherita d.o.p. I’m not an expert for pizza and I guess I prefer the Americanized pizza with lots of cheese. That being said, I probably should not be reviewing this place. But I must say this pizza must be authentic because this was just like the one I had in Italy!!! I also really liked the crust. Airy and chewy. Also, the pizza was very light and I can easily eat the whole pie myself!

Oh my goodness– delicious!!! Not only was the owner and cook so incredibly friendly, but the Margherita pie was mouthwatering and addictive! Once I got there the owner was kind enough to answer my questions and explain the unique technique he uses to makes his pies and the credentials involved. I ordered my pie and waited briefly for it to be made. While waiting I was offered a cannoli. You don’t have to ask me twice when Italian treats abound! I will absolutely be back and cannot wait to try some of the other pies Saverio’s offers! Mangia mangia, folks!

This place does one thing, and the do it right. Pizza, using high quality ingredients and cooking their pizzas in a true wood burning pizza oven makes for an amazing finished product. The pizzas are sold as whole pies and no slices and with a nice slight char on them are perfect for two people. Friendly staff and a great product, it’s a must try if your living within a 30 mile radius!

Never thought I could ever go 5 stars for a pizza place. Excellent crust, the homemade sausage on the pizza was delicious. I ordered a mozzarella pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and asiago cheese. Yes, I ate an entire pie, crust and all and I never eat the crust.

OMG Alert. I just tried Saverio’s Pizza for the first time and I was completely blown away how great the pizza is here. When I first walked in I was pleasantly greeted by Sam the owner and one of his loyal customers. He explained how he prepares his pizza with only fresh homemade ingredients and the various types of pizza they offer. I went with their famous Margherita DOP pie. Wow what a surprise, my mouth was in Heaven. This is definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve tried in Long Island. Can’t wait to come back and try their Vodka pie. Thank you very much Sam for making my stomach extremely happy today.

Oh my dear God in heaven, The day has finally arrived. After hearing about this spot for the past few months from Christina J and my Boy Brian ive been dying to try this pizza. Since i barely leave my apt or my couch Brian called me today and was like come on we are going. I couldn’t say no. So after my piece of shit 1982 phone GPS failed me i finally found it and watched as Brian laughed at my pithy attempt to parallel park. Hey whatever. So we walk in and it s so damn cute. The owner was there and seriously the nicest man ever. He took our order. Of course we each got an entire pie cause thats how my fat ass rolls. Literally. He got the Moms special and i got the Meatball without Ricotta. We sat there and caught up while our pies were baking in that spectacular oven. The owner came over with plates and our soda’s and there is oregano and red pepper and silverware etc right to the side for your convenience. So then the moment i’ve been waiting for happens, the pies come to our table. Holy Crap they smelled ridiculously great and looked even better hence my photos. We inhaled both pizzas in record time and thought about a third but declined. For now. The genovese sauce was incredible and the meatballs were amazing. I am the pickiest pain in the ass this side of Bellmore and let me tell you this pizza blew me away. Believe the hype. Even better the owner and his adorable wife were so NICE and happy and you can feel the love in the pizza. I know that is the corniest shit ever but its true. Stop what you are doing and get your ass to this spot. You can thank me later. I could use another few slices right about now. THank you Saverio’s for making my day. Oh and Brian too. I love ya bruh, ;)

From the shadows of zombie apocalypse. I’ve crawled the sidewalks like an oval shaped slug; extreme psoriasis, leptospirosis and morbid obesity were among the myriad worth of ailments my living corpse was carrying inside it. Somehow I made it to Broadway in Massapequa; not a single bystander bothered to grab a spatula to pry me from the pebble encrusted concrete but that did not matter. I’ve lost my hope in mankind long ago; the post-apocalyptic depravity this city has seen over the years is far too cryptic for a former, waffle-stomached computer scientist like me. I pushed the doors open and slithered my way to the counter; a trail of wet, syrup– like residue left behind. Since I couldn’t see very well from below, my eyeballs stretched upwards like tentacles to observe the menu’s offerings. The man behind the counter, Sam, glanced at me with a movie star grin and twinkle in his eye; he courageously air lifted me 1 square foot to the chair adjacent; my syrupy backfat mashing into the open spaces of the spindle. Hallelujah. The song«Over the rainbow» by the sweet Hawaiian fat guy started playing and steam began to fill the room as the oven hatch burst open. With the swagger of Dean Martin, his voice slowly echoed through my psyche, id and superego, «Margherita DOP.» Upon his hands laid the cure: a tangy bafula sprinkled, Marzano infused serum in the form of a traditional pizza pie. My tusks decapitated each mini slice like Pawnee genocide; however with each hyperactive chew, my soul was delicately cleansed and enlightened. By the time I was finished, I was a clean-cut John the Baptist. All of us sang koom bai yah and celebrated with fried Nutella. A rainbow reared its smiling face above the storefront, alluding to the dawn of a new day…

There’s no pizza like New York pizza, and I’m painfully reminded of that each day I walk the streets of Boston, so whenever I come back to my hometown, pizza is one of the first things I get. I also had a friend visiting from Ohio with me whose never had east coast pizza. Delicious pizza. We got the moms and vodka sauce pizza. Both were fantastic. Perfectly made– and the service was great too. Friendly people in there. While we waited for pizza, there’s a store connected that has some imported prosciutto that we picked up.(and a cappuccino place next door that’s amazing) Pizza was done in like 10 – 15 minutes? Friend said it was the best pizza of his life. I was great. Perfectly done :)

Ok I’m back! I just left with my Meatball Ricotta pie and I had to pull over to eat it! The first slice didn’t make it before I pulled away from the curb. Now once I tasted this combination I tried to drive home but the crust was calling me. I’m sitting in the Sunrise Hwy TGIF Parking Lot like some crackhead for pizza. I’m so ashamed, but it’s sooo good. Funny thing is I don’t even eat meatballs on my pizza, it’s just not my thing. Well, now it’s my thing here & here only! Another home run for Saverios! The food is amazing. We had D.O.P. Margherita with Buffalo mozzarella, so delicious. We also had fried pizza. Sam’s family is so kind and so fun to be around. This is an authentic family business and I greatly respect that. You need to check out Saverio’s!

Saverio’s is the best pizzeria on Long Island and is amongst the elite wood oven pizzerias of New York. The folks here are enthusiastic about their products. We spoke with Sam who told us about his experience in pizza school and how his pies stack up with some other regional greats. The dough is fresh and comes out crispy and airy at the edge crust; I liked it a little bit better than Di Fara’s. The tomato sauce is superb and delicate; it’s tastier than Totonno’s and doesn’t give agita. The cheese is a pure and fresh as it gets. The mozzarella and ricotta looked as if they were about to be served on a charcuterie board.

I’ve been excited to try this place since its opening but never had the time to make the trip. Time was finally on my side and I just came back from my lunch at Saverio’s. I’m very particular about my pizza. My brother and I have a food blog and pizza is my thing. Authentic Pizza Napoletana is not easy to come by on Long Island, but it looks like Saverio’s made it a little easier. I had the D.O.P. Margarita, which in my opinion is the most difficult pizza to make correctly. Between the buffala mozzarella, the D.O.P. San Marzano tomatoes, and a very nice tender crust, I’d say this is about as authentic as it gets. I watched the process start to finish, and even asked what their oven temperature was — upwards of 850*F which is exactly where it should be, if not a bit hotter. Once you get close to 900* mark the pizza needs to be eaten with a fork & knife. I personally prefer this, but it’s not a shared appreciation here on NY so I won’t complain about 850. I’ll be taking my wife here next time, and maybe they’ll let me get behind the counter and make my own pizza!!!

Grew up my whole life bragging to my friends about NY Pizza. Can’t believe I didn’t try authentic Italian pizza sooner… First, like many of the other reviews, this is not your ordinary pizza. All the pizzas are made in a personal size which will definitely fill a hungry stomach(and trust me, once you start eating it, you won’t be able to stop). I admit that I absolutely love meat on just about everything but I can honestly say that after trying the Margherita pizza & the famous Mom’s pizza, I did not miss the meat because of how well the various ingredients and sauces came together… Every ingredient is fresh and if you are someone who likes to see your food being prepared, you can even watch as they make an authentic Italian pizza with fresh ingredients right before your very eyes. On a side note, the business is family run and while the amount of seating isn’t very large, the owner and staff are extremely accommodating so no complaints here :) I could go on and on talking about my experience trying Saverio’s but I would recommend that YOUMUSTGOANDTRYITFORYOURSELF. You will not regret it! Definitely will be coming back here for great service & quality pizza!

I’ve been across the country searching for the perfect pie. I found it here! I love everything about this place! Sam uses the best homemade ingredients and distributes them with perfection. A true artist. This is the countries best kept secret. A perfect diamond in the rough. His homemade San Marzano sauce and fresh mozzarella taste delicioso being baked in his wood fire oven. The crust is perfectly charred and chewy. I’ve had Chris Bianco’s, Grimaldi’s, Patsy’s, Tonys in San Fran, Frank Pepe’s Apizza, Sally’s Apizza and Delorenzos from Trenton NJ. All great pizzerias. Saverio’s is the new Mecca of napalotena pizza makers. Truly the best I’ve ever had. If that’s not enough, it’s connected to an Italian deli which has THEBESTMEATBALLS I EVERHADTOO! The icing on the cake is the owners. It’s a real mom and pop place. I tried tipping the wife and she wouldn’t take my tip! They wanted to give me free desserts to take home. I literally felt like I was at my Italian parents and I’m Jewish! This is my favorite place to eat pizza and meatballs. I have a feeling it’s gonna be famous very soon!

The Massapequas on Nassau County’s South Shore are known for a large population of Italian Americans who know their pizza. Well… paisons and non-paisons should run, not walk to Saverio’s Authentic Pizza Napoletana on North Broadway next to the A&S Pork Store. Immediately before writing this, I just consumed my favorite, the Broccoli Rabe & Sausage Pie. It was generously topped with sweet Italian sausage that was extremely fresh and tasty. The crust was cooked perfectly with a little bit of char. The tomatoes are of high San Marzano quality. The owner and the staff are extremely friendly and personable. One of the best aspects of this pizzeria is its convenience. You can go in an order, as opposed to phoning, and have your pizza constructed and cooked before your eyes in 7 – 10 minutes. I’m planning to eat my way through the menu and so should you. 8÷29÷15: Can you improve upon perfection? YES!!! I tried the Mom’s Pie with Buffalo Mozzarella on Saverio’s recommendation. I cannot recall tasting a better pie. The Buffalo Mozz takes the pie to a whole other level. The sauce was amazingly fresh tasting, very non-acidic with a slight sweetness. I now have a co-favorite pie at Saverio’s.

Ask any out of towner what they love about NY food– it’s always the pizza(and bagels). Massapequa has quite a few of local delicious NY style pizza places, some of them also located on Broadway… however, Saverio’s offers something different. It’s an Italian style pizza. Thin, airy crust personal pies made with the freshest ingredients. They are priced at about as much as the full sized pies in other places but the taste is totally different. The owner puts pride into each pizza and it is evident by the fresh tasting sauce. The real difference maker though is the custom made(from Italy) wood fire grill. I passed by the store and was drawn in by the space ship looking grill. The owners and staff could not have been nicer and the owner even allowed me to sample a slice of a delicious new pizza he was working on. I am a big fan of this place and will likely be back to try all the options on the menu.
