John was great. Went in recently for a nose piercing. He explained everything, made me comfortable, used VERY CLEAN technique (important to this nurse!). The cost was a little more than I had expected but I also hadn’t gotten a new piercing in 20 years so what do I know? I appreciate that this jewelry is not made in China and is not turning my nose green, and I appreciate the cleanliness, so it was worth it to me. It’s healing great.
Plus, he’s a big sweetie!

Went in today for a lip piercing and John was awesome! I previously had a piercing in the same spot which I thought was long closed (hadn’t had jewelry in it for 3 – 4 years) and he was able to get jewelry back into it without re-piercing, saving me money and (more importantly) healing time. I was so pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be back when I’m ready for some new jewelry!

Can’t speak for tattoos but as far as piercings go, John is the absolute best. Only APP certified piercer on LI, he’s really knowledgeable, talkative, friendly, and professional. He will give you a great piercing along with advice for how to keep it healthy and is willing to order you the industry’s best jewelry when it’s time for a change. You also know he’s never screwing you with prices. Everything is priced appropriately and it’s all going to him, he’s not playing games with you. Just genuinely cares about customers and the art of body mods.

If you’re in the market to get pierced go here and see John Alonzo. He is the best! He is extremely thorough, and sanitary. He makes sure to use the highest quality of jewelery available and will give the best aftercare and answer any questions that you may have. Don’t be cheap and go to another shop. Just got my septum pierced by John. He was amazing! So sanitary, helpful, professional and thorough. He showed me everything he used, exactly how and why he cleaned it and talked me through purchasing jewelry, how to clean the piercing and what products to stay away from. Alright so I wanted to get another tattoo for my birthday and I saw this girl with a tattoo on her wrist, I asked her where did she get it down, she says Superstition Tattoo… which apparently thats not what she said but oh well, I found it lol. I go in and I read all this nonsense which made me somewhat uncomfortable. But as I met the tattoo artist, we just hit it right off. Great service, great tattoo. I’m good!
