My fave sandwich. I go atleast once a week for lunch. My order is turkey and provolone on whole wheat. I get all the toppings except pickles and onions. The hot peppers are out of this world. very very friendly staff. Always trying to put a smile on your face. Great sandwich, great staff

Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Paramus Is a great place to hang out. Amazing food and great staff. If you normally don’t like sandwiches, this place will convert you. Especially with its new Buffalo Grilled Chicken sandwich. PLACE: Great atmosphere and cool hang out spot, live music every Friday and Saturday. FOOD: A little pricier then most sandwich places but worth every penny, very short waiting time, so all food is fresh, fast and amazing the first bite you take. STAFF: Very friendly staff, funny, and have great knowledge of the menu. If you do not have any idea what to get just ask for the staff for there suggestion, they won’t steer you wrong.

service is nice. it’s just a more expensive subway to be honest. Got the chicken and cheddar melt. It was satisfying. Nothing I’d crave or go back for.

I have to say this place is pretty disappointing to me. I’ve tried it twice, and neither time was very impressive. My brother visits here regularly and I just can’t figure out why. The first time I came was right after it first opened and my best friend and I met for dinner. I remember ordering the pizza sandwich and just getting pizza sauce all over my hands. It was such a mess of a sandwich and there really wasn’t a lot of items on it at all. The next time I went was with my boyfriend who hadn’t tried it yet. He’s not big into sandwiches but if they’re done right, he’s game. This place missed the mark. We both were unsatisfied by the portion sizes(I should be full after eating a whole sandwich and I definitely was NOT). Also, he ordered a milkshake which apparently only come in one small size there and they didn’t even fill the cup up all the way. I’ll state it again-very disappointing overall. Unless I’m accompanying my brother here(after probably suggesting someplace else first), I probably won’t be visiting again.

I went to this sandwich shop and immediately felt good vibes emitting from it. The shop is very modern yet classic retro-like if that makes sense. It’s very cool inside there. The waiting time was very quick. You don’t need to wait too long. I had two people in front of me. I went on a Wednesday evening. The workers are very kind and friendly. There are a ton of choices to put on your sandwich. I ordered a Mediterranean Grilled Chicken sandwich. It was very tasty and delicious. The bag they put your sandwich in say«Good Vibes. Great Sandwiches.» They live up to that statement.

Is it too much to ask that I eat a delicious sandwich without a side of bitchiness? Walked in and noticed the place was DEAD. At 5:15pm that should strike as a red flag but my sister and I were starving. The black girl with the long braids behind the counter needs to check her attitude or do us all a favor and get a new job. After placing my order she started mumbling to herself which made me uncomfortable, then when my sister ordered the same thing the girl caught an attitude and said that we had to wait because she had to make more. Make more what?! Not a problem, Cranky! We told her it wasn’t a problem and we only waited 3 minutes for her to ask us what toppings we wanted. She spit it out so fast I had to ask her to please repeat what she stuttered and then I realized that she asked if I wanted mushrooms.(The answer to that was fuck yea!) I thought the worst was over as I was paying because another employee, Zachery(who I hope is a manager or he needs to be promoted pronto), was doing his best to give excellent customer service. Until I overheard the girl talking to my sister as if she were slow. It took everything in me to remain civil to this bitch. Unfortunately your receipts don’t have a «please rate us!» on it so this complaint will do for now. My point? This place lost two customers and the owner of the store should pat himself on the back for hiring such a brat.

A really good sandwich and a great staff. The guy at the counter helped me put together a delicious meal, and was beyond hospitable.

It’s a better Subway. Sandwiches are a bit more expensive, but it’s a much higher quality than you’d get at other chain sub shops. I ordered A Wreck, which had a large variety of meats on it. Lots of things cost extra here, from mushrooms, to bacon, and even red onions have an extra charge. They have pretty good cookies too.

Ambiance/Décor/Atmosphere: Hipster retro-industrial big city themed Panera/Subway like fast casual sandwich shop. Pretty cool brown colors and wood accents emphasizing the classic feel. I almost think I need wingtips to eat here. lol Oh, and live music plays up front which is kind of cool. Noise/sound level: This location of Pot Belly is pretty large and even with a band playing it’s not really that loud. As long as the band is good the vibe is good, so there’s no reason to complain or think your time will be ruined. Menu: Appropriately composed of soups, salads, sandwiches, breakfast, sweet tooth items, and now flat breads. More or less what you’d expect from Panera or Subway, but with a few more eccentric items to make Pot Belly stand out. Service: Fast casual service, walk up to the counter, order your food in the true«Potbelian» way, which is no other than your typical manner of ordering a sandwich now and days, wait for it to be made, pay for it, and pick it up to go or carry out. The sign says eight minutes or less to wait in line the whole time, this wasn’t in practice when I ate here. The wait time wasn’t too bad, but I wonder if people complained to resulted in this policy. Food: Not bad, decent sandwich quality, but I usually order my sandwiches«Bigs» as these guys call it. It’s more than likely a gimmick to spend more money, but at least you can ask them to cut the bread down some. I had the Wreck and it came out pretty good. Pot Belly isn’t factory like whereas Subway might seem, but it’s close. You only get two bread choices as well. Bar: none Price: A bit steep for a sandwich that’s not overwhelming my taste buds. Overall: Good to have Pot Belly at the Town Center because the places there are more ethnic. And, if I am looking for a sandwich other than a hamburger Pot Belly is the place to go when I’m there, well, only place to go. Nonetheless, good sandwich.

Pretty good spot for lunch if you want something quick. They have a sign promising that you’ll have your food within 8 minutes. The menu is pretty small. There’s only about 4 – 5 sandwiches and same goes for salad. The workers are friendly, but try upselling you a lot more than just a sandwich. Kinda strange.

Mediterranean sandwich here is ! We got hooked the first time when we tried our first Potbelly in Chi-town visiting a dearest friend. Now that I moved to NJ, I was stoked to find a Potbelly near me. Love the ambiance and the sandwich is above all of your chain sandwich restaurants!

This place is getting two stars be of the great customer service. The sandwiches suck. A sliver of meat with a piece of lettuce and two tomatoes. You can get better sandwiches at wawa.

I had the A Wreck which was made from pre-sliced meat and from my perspective this place is just a small step up from Subway with respect to sandwich quality. I will say that I really like the hot peppers but I will not go back. In the area there are just far too many really good deli’s that give you higher quality in the same price point.

Eh. Not bad. Not enough options to choose from. Couple of sandwiches, salads, soups. That’s about it. I got the grilled chicken cheddar sandwich. It was small but filling and oozing with cheese. The place itself seems small from the outside but inside is quite large and there are many tables to choose from. Service is decent. Two people working during busy lunch hour? That’s rough. I may be back in the future, but it’s nothing I would crave or seek out.

Nice seeing Potbellies here in Jersey. Ive only eaten at one in Chicago and i see they are expanding in the Metro area. This place makes great sandwiches and if Thanksgiving wasn’t just last week I might have splurged on a milkshake. Got the roast beef sandwich on toasted multigrain bread. The bread is fresh and hearty, better than Panera’s in my opinion. Their selection of salad is minimal. It is a sandwich shop, after all. Shared a chickpea veggie salad whose ingredients were fresh as well. Service is friendly, maybe too friendly. The sandwich maker was really chatty and also tried to upsell me on extras, soup, and a milkshake. Sorry, just a sandwich please. The place is new so it was very clean and has a homey feel. I was expecting this place to be a bit busier during lunch hr, but it had avg foot traffic. It’s in a new strip outside the mall. Overall a good lunch option when at the Bergen Town mall.

I’ve seen this place a couple of times whole shopping at the Bergen Town Center Mall, but I usually go to Bobby’s Burger Palace when I shop here. We wanted something different this time though. We made the short walk across the parking lot, and we’re welcomed by a homely southern style atmosphere. This is a sandwich shop, and the menu is very limited here. I ordered a Wreck sandwich and my girlfriend got the Mediterranean. The wreck is just as it sounds… Perfect for a day after drinking with greasy meat. The Mediterranean was a little more bland, but my girlfriend liked it. The pickle is not very good though, and I wouldn’t recommend it. The service was friendly, and I would definitely come back here.

**This review is for service and hygiene only** I was here today at around 1:30 pm. I was the only person standing in front of the counter and nobody acknowledge me for a good 5 minutes. The employees(2 guys in front of me and another guy at the other end of the counter) were busy chatting. I was actually amused with the conversation between 2 guys that is why I stayed that long. The employees were arguing about the rag that the sandwich line person was using to clean the prep counter. He seemed to be using a dirty old rag to wipe the sandwich prep counter and the other guy told him not to use it but he said«it’s ok…» So I eventually spoke up and said«you know what, forget about it.» and I walked away. I got my sandwich at Subway inside the mall.

Been here multiple times and the sandwiches are always good. I’ve had the roast beef, pizza one, chicken and cheddar, Italian, and turkey and Swiss. The best one by far is the chicken and cheddar. Boy is that sandwich so good. The sizes of the sandwiches are small but they do fill you up. Even half can do the job sometimes. The kettle chips they offer are good. The shakes they have are delicious and come with a cute cookie on the straw. Service is mostly, 1 – 10, a 5. They have this assembly line mentality but most of the time it’s one person doing it all.

So happy that there’s a Potbelly nearby! They seem to have everything that the other potbelly’s offer EXCEPT that they don’t have the larger size here. I happen to go to Midway Airport monthly, and snag their larger size there(It’s something like 30% more of the regular for $ 1 more or something). But I guess I should be thankful that they only serve the smaller size to help me moderate my weight a little better. What do I usually get? A Wreck, Mediterranean or Italian. Toasted bread goodness with some hot peppers and Italian seasoning is a must! This Potbelly is clean, big and next to Pei Wei. Parking is more ample there given it’s detached from the rest of Bergen Mall. Yay for less hassle! Will be coming here very very often!

I’m a Pot Belly lover for years now. Visited others in Virginia and I’m a big«everything on it fan». I waited as always to visit this new establishment. I realize everyone has growing pains. It was mid afternoon. Mid week and very empty. I was the only one ordering. An older gentlemen took my order and while he went to the back to retrieve something another young man said«Is someone helping you?» So I replied yes, someone just took my sandwich.(as in order). He replied, «someone stole your sandwich ma’am? Um no, he took my order. Oh I thought someone stole your sandwich!, gheez. The place is empty! Lol I’m waiting to pay and the three workers start conversing about my two sandwiches and that one of them was made wrong, and how much I should be charged. This was after I told the younger man what garnishes I wanted 3 times. Again, I was their only customer. The sandwich was good, the place looked nice but wasn’t impressed with the service on my first visit
