Bethany was super friendly. The best customer service I’ve received in a long time. She helped me find exactly what I was looking for and to top the goodness, my finds were on sale! She didn’t rush me even though it was time to close. First time in the store(I had shopped there online before)… I’ll be back!

Not sure why the other reviews are talking about the bad service, we loved both the employees. they explained the sales and offered water and lots of help without being pushy or annoying. The review would be higher rated if the prices weren’t so high for what isn’t all that stylish or high quality. They definitely have some decent stuff my wife liked but not enough to justify the high prices. They have a lot of sales but mostly on the ugly items. Now with buy buy baby and target and other locations having nice maternity clothes for less, why would you pay this much more unless the quality or style is improved? Overall though my wife was very pleased with the couple items she did get so worth a trip but definitely not going to buy your whole wardrobe there.

I had a good experience here. Yes, Pea in the Pod is expensive– they are a «designer» maternity store, but this is to be expected with this brand. I have bought most of my maternity clothes from Motherhood(same parent company, but Motherhood has lower priced items). I needed a maternity dress for my husband’s holiday party, and nothing at Motherhood fit the bill. I found that Pea in the Pod had a much better selection of special occasion dresses, and the sales person was quite attentive and helpful. I will probably not purchase $ 200 jeans from here, but if you need something specific while you’re pregnant– this place is the best store to try!

I have given this store multiple chances through multiple pregnancies and will now give up. They must send their sales people to car sales training — they are in your face and will not take a hint or even direct request to be allowed to casually shop. They follow you around, ask personal questions, ask over and over what you are looking for even if you say ‘nothing in particular’ and then demand your phone number if you make a purchase and are downright rude if you don’t give it. I leave there so cranky

The customer service is horrible. They try to sell you a $ 15,000 wardrobe then don’t take any returns. Don’t even try to order online, it is complete chaos.

I bought a nursing t shirt from this store. I found out in a few hours that the stitches do not match on both sides. One side of the shirt is always bunched up together because of bad stitching. I went to the store but they said no refund only exchange. I understand that it’s because it’s the maternity clothing, but with this piece of clothing they shouldn’t sell it to anyone else again anyways. Because it’s of very bad quality. The store manager said, «I didn’t make the rules.» This was the first time I bought in this store and will be the last.

It’s hard to find stylish, well-made maternity clothing. A Pea In the Pod, which is the higher-end store owned by the same company that owns Motherhood Maternity and Mimi Maternity, comes close to fitting the bill. The clothes are decently stylish and of relatively good quality(compared to, say, Motherhood, where the quality is very poor). The prices are high, sometimes to the point of being laughable. When you enter the store, a salesperson will explain that there’s the«designer» side on the left, and the other side on the right. If you’re looking for a $ 200 t-shirt, head for the designer side. If you want something more in the $ 50-$ 90 range, head for the other side. The salespeople can be very attentive if there aren’t many customers in the store. If you like lots of attention, that’s good, but they can be a little intrusive for my taste. On my last visit, I had to be very firm with a salesgirl who was trying waaaay to hard to push their $ 200 maternity jeans.(It was June, which made her efforts particularly ridiculous.) They offer you cold water if you go in the dressing room, which is nice. All in all, this is a good place to check out for maternity clothes, particularly if you need a nice dress or a fancy-looking top for a party, baby shower, or other special occasion. But due to the high prices, you’re probably not going to want to buy your whole maternity wardrobe there.
