Pretty good Italian food. As good as or better than Olive Garden. However, needs lots of salt. Rather tasteless without it. Salad dressing was wonderful and I want the recipe. Side salad was extra $ but it was very good. Bread served was good. They furnished some kind of margarine-butter blend. Portions seem large but mostly pasta. Not a lot of chicken in Fettucine Alfredo with Chicken. Hubby had something with spaghetti noodles & chicken. Same problem. Good for McGregor. Can’t compete with a GOOD Olive Garden.

My family has just finished a wonderful meal late on a Sunday evening. All the food came out fast and hot and tasting great! The food pleased everyone, three small girls and and nine adults. My son in law even sad the spaghetti with meat sauce was the best he has had outside of Italy. The meal was just what we needed! A surprising fine!!!

The staff is fabulous and authentic … unfortunately the food isn’t. I wanted to eat my food only so as not to disappoint the sweet owners/waiters/chefs. Tried two different pasta dishes, bread(sorry, only small tubs of butter, no olive oil for dipping) and the cannoli. Waiters admit no desserts are made in house. The food is pretty bad but the owners are wonderful. Oh, and sadly no cappuccino.

Excellent food and dessert. Everything was homemade. Beats any chain Italian eatery in the area.

The food is authentic and portions very generous. The food is served quickly and the homemade rolls are great on their own but try one of their dipping sauces! The atmosphere is casual but very inviting. Bring your wine, they will provide wine glasses and openers. Just a quick trip from the Waco area and definitely a favorite.

Can’t believe this place exists in McGregor Texas. You have to look hard for it or you’ll drive right by. First, the bread and olive oil are outstanding. Could have made a meal out of just that. Salad was good and my lasagna was perfect. It had the right amount of each ingredient. Prices are ridiculously low for food of this quality.

Good food and good friendly service at fair price. Have eaten dinner here many times in both their old and new locations. Highly recommended.

Effectively a more hole-in-the-wall Baris. Their seafood pastas are incredible. You’ll also never feel out of place in any dress code.

Very comfortable place with delicious food and good service. Love that the owners are present in everyday task of running a restaurant, they’ll even deliver your bread! It’s byob but McGregor doesn’t have much in the way of a place to buy wine so plan ahead and get a bottle in Waco.

Simply perfect food, great service, and laid back atmosphere. This place is a gem in a random town. Just come here and try it, you will not regret it even if you drive from the south pole. Seriously!!!

This is simple Italian by two European brothers who make sure the quality is consistent and high. They go home for about a month each summer and I miss them. Not fancy but good.

Excellent food at an excellent price. I got some to-go food and brought it across the street to TJ’s Cigar Lounge as I enjoyed a smoke. Certainly some of the best Italian I have enjoyed in Central Texas(though honestly that’s not saying much in itself). We had the mozzarella appetizer — your standard cheese sticks but perfectly toasted with a nice seasoned batter. We also really enjoyed the Stromboli, though it seemed to be prepared more like a calzone instead of wrapped like your typical Stromboli. Regardless, the meat had a great slightly spicy flavor to it. The Italian Sausage was out of control good and the bread was just bordering on crispy, but cut perfectly and held together nicely. A very enjoyable meal as ranked against your standard pizza/pasta joint. I can’t wait to try one of their harder-to-make pasta dishes to see if it carries over to more than just the standard items.

A truly authentic Italian restaurant, located in McGregor, which is about 15 miles west of Waco. I always order Tony’s Special, which is mussels, scallops, shrimp and clams with a «pink» sauce(marinara with a little alfredo to lighten up the taste) on linguini. It is so delicious. I think the rolls are not as tasty as everything else, but they are ok. It is a BYOB place.

They did a really nice job. My mother remarried and had a tiny 6-person ceremony and wanted«Italian food.» They did a nice job for us, setting up a reserved table with candles, and brought us champagne glasses and utensils to cut her cake with. The service was excellent, as was the food. We appreciate their special little touch to her day.

This place was super good! Wow! Yummy hot buttery bread with the olive oil dipping sauce. I could make a meal out of this alone! Big portions. Reasonably priced. Good service– people seemed legit to be making Italian food if you know what I mean . At this point I forget what I actually had but I’d never wonder where to stop and it in this town again– it will for sure be here!!! I posted menu pics to help you out.
