A beautiful pizza! The crust is thick, thicker than most anywhere in Dallas, with a dense buttery biscuit texture. Sauce is a traditional red sauce, slightly sweet but not especially memorable. Overall a decent pizza. Would eat here again.

I’ve gone out of my way to try all of the pizza places within driving distance and this one is still my favorite. There aren’t a lot of things you can do with pizza without ruining the standard good qualities about it, short of just having good base ingredients. Durkin’s does very well to stay within the boundaries of a classic Americanized pizza, while taking the edge where they can in the crust. Probably the most amazing crust you will ever eat, and very well priced on top of that.

If you love pizza come here! Durkin’s Pizza has never failed on satisfying my pizza cravings. Its usually pretty empty everytime I’m here– most people order pick up — but I enjoy it. Friendly and fast service. I am super picky about chicken but this places chicken is great! Make sure to try this place out.

Awesome food, and locally owned! Pizza is fantastic, with lots of toppings and cheese. You can tell they use quality ingredients. Pizza is not quite deep dish but is substantial enough for me to be full after 2 – 3 pieces(half a small). This makes my $ 10 lunch(small pizza with 2 toppings and a drink) quite a bargain, since I get another meal out of the leftovers! Skip all the chains in the same shopping center and get some real food at Durkin’s.

Durkin’s is our favorite pizza. We have been more times than I can count. Tonight was no different. We had the cheesy bread, Alfredo pizza with chicken, and a Peperoni with bacon pizza. All were fantastic. We love the atmosphere as well. They have great music playing in the background. Look for Mr. Durkin when you are in. He is very nice and great to talk to.

We love their pizza and salads!!! Our favorite is the kitchen sink. If you like thin and crispy crust don’t go my sister was not happy with their medium crust but it is our favorite pizza joint anywhere.

I give this place a «meh» my pizza I had was just ok. I was surprised, based on the quality reviews it got on Unilocal.Nothing special, but great service nonetheless. My review is just for the pizza.

5 stars for the pizza, 1 star for the service-so thus we have a 3 star average. We usually LOVE this place, and have frequently ordered a pick-up pizza. Our first time dining in today, and I was very very disappointed and surprised by how awful the service was. It was very clear that the larger man working had no desire to be at work or to provide a decent level of customer service. My simple questions were mocked and joked about in a way that made me very uncomfortable, and this happened a few times throughout our experience. We witnessed the same employee take on a similar apathetic/snarky attitude with 2 other regular customers there– so I’m not taking this personally. In my perspective, a paying customer should never be made to «feel bad» or un-welcomed if they’ve done absolutely nothing to warrant less than decent treatment. I understand we are all human and have our days, but please don’t rudely project yourself onto other customers… we can feel your energy. Given that this is a local business with a high quality product, it pains me to see the disconnect between the people and the mission of the business. Jason is awesome, the owner is awesome, today’s experience was anything but awesome. Safe to say, we will likely not be returning.

You just can’t beat this joint, especially when it comes to lunch specials. 4.95 gets you a small cheese pizza. And it’s enough to feed two people easy. I wish the lunch menu were a bit bigger, but you can get the pizza, the PTS(four topping sandwich) or meatball sub. The sandwiches should come with something like chips. Go with the pizza and you won’t be disappointed. Great local joint!

Went there to get a quick lunch. Was almost nobody there. Bad sign! I Ordered the PTS Piza Topped Sandwich. You get to choose up to 4 toppings. I thought Woo Hoo! I ordered pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, and jalapenos. Sandwich came out and it was nearly cold. It is 6 inches and 1 ½ inches wide. Then cut into two pieces. Not a very good value considering how little pizza toppings were able to fit into such a small bun. The bun was toasted then sauced, and In cooking it, they had barely melted the cheese. The pizza sauce in the little cup was just out of the refrigerator. Sandwich had plenty of sauce on it already. Not bad, not great either! Would I go back for it, Nope! Concept is good, execution was weak! This lunch special was not good enough to order again. I think they need to be more caring in how they put a order together. They were not crowded, and during my time in there only one other person came in. The pizza I got here before had good flavor, but the crust was hugely thick on the edge, and paper thin in the middle which made us eat it with a fork. It is pizza, you should be able to pick it up and eat it. There was hardly anyone in there that day too.

I finally checked this place out a few weeks back. I don’t see the hype. The pizza was good but the service wasn’t great(read weren’t friendly). I chose carry out. The music inside being played country. It just really didn’t seem welcoming. I doubt I’d go back.

My calzone was completely filled with pizza sauce, hardly any toppings. Also, the cheese was not melted. Friendly staff, disappointing cuisine.

We love Durkin’s Pizza. The crust is amazing! My husband and I split a medium and it is plenty for both of us. The staff is always super friendly and they come up to your table to make sure everything is delicious. And it is!

When we decided to try out Durkin’s, I was hesitant because this will be our third McKinney owned restaurant to try. The first two weren’t so great so, I was skeptical. Reviews were great here but so were the ones at the other two. But, why not give it a shot?! I want to support my hometown! We ordered a medium kitchen sink with half olives on one side of the pizza. The person taking our order was pleasant and nice to talk to. The restaurant is different than most because they don’t play pop music that’s currently on the radio. They play alternative/rock music I guess is the genre– it’s just good music. Our pizza didn’t take long to come out and it smelled delicious. The husband went and asked for ranch for me. Yes, RANCH! Who did my husband ask for ranch? None other than Mr. Durkin himself. Dun dun dunnnn. Needless to say, he threw us out. Just kidding! But he did give us the«pizza with ranch look» and did say ranch doesn’t go on his pizza and asked us to try it without ranch. He was super funny and nice about it! If he didn’t want to give us ranch– he definitely didn’t have to but THANKYOU for being understanding and giving us ranch.(Really– I was super appreciative!) What can I say? The pizza is amazing. There’s this glaze they put on the crust that makes it oh so delicious. The toppings ratio was perfect and… it was just good. Definitely one of the best pizza restaurants I’ve been too. With or without ranch– I’m coming back to this joint. I didn’t even need ranch for all of my pizza– Mr. Durkin– you were right!
