I love, love, love my stylist Shelbi. She really listens to what I want in my cut and color and then makes sure I 100% love it! You can tell she really loves what she does because she is so chipper and is smiling the whole time she is working on your hair!
Shelbi shaved an hour off of my coloring by introducing me to a new way in processing my hair and getting the desired color I want. I always fell like I get the 5 star treatment!

The salons at Volterra are clean, new, and conveniently located. The receptionists are always friendly. My review is for specific professionals.
Robin Miller: She’s a great aesthetician, very personable, and professional. I’m generally satisfied with her services.
Kim Truong: I contacted her and specifically booked a manicure and a pedicure, I mentioned this when I entered her salon, but behold, when she was finishing up my pedicure she told me she had another appointment and I could go back for my manicure the next day (who has time for that?). The price for the pedicure was $ 40 plus tip. She wasted my time with her «mix up», I won’t be going back.
Lauren Lane: I understand hairstylists are supposed to strike up a conversation with their clients but I left with a headache from the non-​stop talking. As for my hair, she made my layers top heavy and thinned out the ends too much, for some reason she left a long bunch of hair down the back — this bunch is about an inch longer then everything else. As most stylists, she tried to persuade me to buy her hair products, this went on for a while, but there was no way I was going to pay $ 40 for shampoo and conditioner.

I’ve been going to Debbie Vo since 2008. I’m 20 now and she’s still doing it. She knows what I want, she loves to keep a conversation going so that it doesn’t become silent the entire time. I would go to other salons and it wouldn’t be as great as her doing it. I highly recommend going here.

Picture is ombré/​bayalage by Debbie Vo. She is the best hairstylist I’ve been to. She asks questions to make sure she has an understanding of what you want and that’s what she delivers. The placement, color, length, ect. is exactly how I wanted my hair to turn out. The salon in general is very nice, but Debbie is the reason I’m there.

Lydia Johansen is the very best! I’ve followed Lydia for 10 years, and I’m so excited about her salon at this location. Lydia knows how to listen, and never misses a beat… she’s done color, highlights, cut only plus eyebrow waxing … she’s the best. if you’re just wanting a cut only… she’s on it. if you want the full treatment, you’re in for the best experience. Lydia s flexible and will do her very best to make you smile! I feel like I’ve made a friend because she’s such a sweet person — but her skills as a stylist will keep you coming back.
The salon itself is gorgeous — it’s spa like atmosphere instantaneously relaxes me whenever I step foot inside.

After having a farmers burn, I thought a spray tan would do wonders to even myself out. The lady was excellent in explaining everything and since I have heard horror stories and never done this before I was a tad nervous standing in the buff while this lady meticulously stared at my body to given me an even glow.
She did great with explanation, but I had to go get groceries and stuff before going home. I looked in the rear view mirror upon arriving at grocery store, (20 minutes after ran) and my neck is so splotchy, I went to the bathroom to try an wash and even it off. When I got home, 2 hours post tan and everything was put up and dinner started, I went to assess the situation.
Let’s just say, I will never do this again. I had dark cheetah spots all over my body, my neck still looks like someone tried to slice it open with white out and missed 6 or 7 times (sarcastic color difference comment) my legs have dark pimples from the follicle pits and the back if one if my knees looks bruised. Both arm puts look exactly the color I wanted to even out to, but more and more white out lines are under my arms.
Sweet lady is great, but the tan is what I paid for… waste of money, I felt better with a farmers tan disfunction… *sigh

I get my hair did here, by Natalie in Suite 107, and I absolutely love this place. As soon as you walk in you get a gorgeous view of their décor and fountain area. The design of the entry room makes you think this place must be pretty sweet.
Salons of Volterra have everything you would need to get pampered. Hair, nails, eyelashes, and they even have a massage area. Natalie makes my hair cutting experience very relaxing. She is great to talk to, the ambiance in her suite is very soothing, and she does a great job cutting my hair. She makes you feel very comfortable, when sitting in her chair, and accustoms herself to fit your needs.
I plan on coming here, for my hair needs, for a very long time and look forward to each of my appointments.

Salons of Volterra convenient location is a plus. Front desk helpful with a really nice attitude. Now on to my stylist: Allison Baham. I thank God I found this wonderful lady. She actually listens to you and respects what you, as the client, wants. I have been to salon after salon with poor results, drying my beautiful blond hair and having one male stylist tell me I was lucky to have him cut my short hair. When he was done it looked like he put a bowl on my head. This is not Allison. She is hard working and actually listens to what you want. My blond hair is no longer dry, beautiful shades of blond from the color she uses and she works hard to give you what you want. You are paying a lot of money and it is only right you get what you pay for. This is Allison to a tee. Please do yourself a favor and go to Allison. You will be so happy. Just make sure you tell her what you want and she will listen. Good luck finding your perfect stylist ladies, I know I have.

Lovely salon. They have different floors for hair, nails, waxing, and everything you could think of. It’s very organized. 5 stars.

Great place to go. I go regularly to Angelique and she gets me in when I call. Good place for a guy’s cut.

I visited Allison Baham after looking through Groupons for a new stylist.
First, I’ll review the place: Typical North Dallas «flea market» of stylists and spa services. The location is nice and convenient. The front desk reception is actually friendly and helpful and took me straight to my stylist (a rarity for locations set up like this), and the ambiance of the location is extremely warm and inviting. I’ve been to locations like this before, and have just walked in and out– the places were forgettable. Not this location. I find myself wanting to find more merchants in the area and — Wait? Is that a super cute tube dress? Yes, please! This place hit the nail on the head with the fun mix of services offered.
Now, my stylist: I will be honest. I was extremely hesitant to venture on to a new stylist. I am a fiercely loyal client and it takes a lot more than a really good deal on Groupon to win me over. Allison– hands down– won me over. She listened to what I wanted to do with my hair, took the time to really produce the results I was looking for and I can honestly say that even if I had paid full price, I would have felt like I walked away with an amazing hairstyle for the price. Allison, herself, is clearly an experienced and talented colorist and stylist. She is friendly, holds a great conversation, and (my personal «winner») lets you schedule your appointment online! Too cool. My hair was a hot bleached mess when I came in and I walked away with the look I had been trying to achieve for the past few years (Yes, years. See above. Loyal client, etc.) I have been to ritzy places in Dallas and Frisco where I can’t walk out of the salon without paying $ 300+. I have long held the mentality that that’s just what it costs for «good hair». Not anymore. And anyone who has fooled themselves into believing the same thing needs to give Allison a try.

This salon is so elegant & classy and you can find everything beauty under one roof! I like the fact that I can get an amazing haircut, massage and fat reduction session all at one place! Oh, did I mention the organic spray tan and facials? I’m done driving all over town. Additionally, you get a friendly greeting at the door, which is really important to me. This is what I normally see at a five star resort, but the prices are considerably less.
