The coffee is best anywhere in Malden and I can actually think of very few places that can match it across all of Metro Boston. Had an Iris(I think it’s what it is called) Scilian bakery item of dough and ricotta and possibly chocolate or cocoa flecks. It was warmed and was delicious. Staff were helpful and friendly. Been back twice just for coffee.

Nice little coffee shop! Friendly atmosphere. My Espresso Macchiato and my boyfriend’s Pumpkin Spice Cappuccino were really good(check out the pix). Would definitely recommend this place!

I was itching for a good espresso after finally realizing Starbucks espresso is too burnt and bitter. Café Del Mare surprised me — really quality espresso and pastries! The goods here far surpass the décor, but that doesn’t bother me at all. Highly recommend stopping here.

CONS: 1. My latte had little to no microfoam which threw off the consistency of the structure and taste of my coffee. I didn’t hear a steam wand being used which made me think my latte was just espresso and hot milk instead of steamed milk. 2. Not a big deal but they didn’t have Jameson so my Irish Coffee that I ordered was 2/3rds complete(Baileys, Jameson, Coffee). It’s Italian and not Irish, but I would consider it going above and beyond to see that bottle of Jameson! PROS: 1. Environment/ambiance is intimate/family oriented. The smell reminds me of walking around the North End near the pizza restaurants. 2. Window seats display a bus stop in front but if you’re sitting at the right one you can see a nice park and some recreation. 3. Service was excellent! The owner is very welcoming and attentive and when he didn’t have all the ingredients for my Irish coffee he made some suggestions. Coffee was warm so the owner also brewed a new pot. 4. Outdoor seating Overall a pretty nice place I would recommend for those trying to have small group meetings or watch sports. A fair place to study, but you need to bring headphones as the tv can be a bit loud. Sundays are opened till 11 which is a plus to consider.

If you go here and don’t get the tiramisu then you have wasted your trip. The owners make you feel like you are in their home. This place will be around for generations to come! However the best part is the simplicity if the food and atmosphere. Go now!

I love this café. I just moved to Medford and I lived in Italy for 16 years and the place reminds me of a local café I had just up the street from my house in Rome. It is very unpretentious and simple, but the coffee is great and the gelato is even better. For those who enjoy a nice espresso and gelato with good conversation after dinner this place ewill hit the spot. The owner is really friendly and the atmosphere is really laid back.

Shhh! Keep this a secret… This is the best café in Massachusetts. You walk in and you’re welcomed by the the owners and made to feel at home. The Caffe Mocha is my favorite, hot or iced. The tiramisu is fresh and moist. They also have a diverse assortment of gelato. If you’re looking for a nice place for a dessert and coffee, this is you’re spot… but let’s keep it our little secret. Shhh!

My uncle called me up out of the blue a month ago to recommend this place, but I didn’t to manage to make it there til just this week. It’s really just like being back in Italy. Friendly staff, 2 stations of Italian TV, coffee, pastry, caffe’ corretto, panini, yeah I would be here every day if I lived a little closer. Open til 11 pm is a good way to be
