we came in for lunch because all of the reviews were so good! I didnt really enjoy my experience though. when we walked in no one greeted us for a good 10 minutes, then it took forever to get drinks. it wasn’t super busy I don’t know if they were shortstaffed or not. I had grilled cheese and tomato soup the soup was good but the grilled cheese was over done so all the chz melted out of it so I was left with mostly greasy bread. My bf got a salad for 13 $ and it was literally tiny and the chicken was not fresh grilled chicken. tasted like it was pulled off of rotisserie or boiled lacked alot of flavor. we ordered at about 2:00& didnt get food till almost 2:45 and thats a long ticket time for salad and a grilled cheese sandwich. There was maybe 3 or 4 other tables. Maybe I will try again for breakfast food definitely not for lunch though

Disappointing across the board. Servers are untrained and the service was inadequate. Menu was spotty meaning they didn’t have ingredients for certain dishes they had listed(they were out of rice?). The water tastes worse than tap water. Ordered the soup and was tasty but it came out bath water warm. Ordered the veggie burger and stomached it down the best I could while it fell apart all over my plate and it was also lukewarm. Interior decoration is meh. Food came out at separate times for me and my partner. All in all a fairly unpleasant experience. Better food can be found in an elementary school cafeteria…

I really like almost everything about this place but will not likely ever go back, this restaurant is the definition of inconsistent. The food is normally excellent, I like their concept and the people that work there are very nice. Today, for the second time in as many weeks my order took nearly an hour to be served from the time that I ordered it. Both times the restaurant was less than 50% full. Nobody offered an explanation or even indicated that it was odd. The fact that my salad came out dry today didn’t help matters. The restaurant is an excellent idea but the execution is terrible. Too bad really.

Just finished lunch here. We ordered everything! And everything was amazing! Soups were great, the dig dips was amazing and you have to order the BLT add tuna and gruyère and ask them to press it! You won’t regret it. This is a wonderful place to go with great service, good and atmosphere!

As a person with special dietary needs, I have found a new favorite restaurant for lunch. I had the bacon tuna melt on a gluten-free Kaiser roll, and my husband had the pulled pork, ham, and cheese panini with spicy mustard. Both of us loved our food. We got our food in a reasonable amount of time. I will be returning frequently!

Places like this give healthy food a bad rap. The establishment was cute, menu sounded great but the food was extremely bland and mediocre. I love healthy food and was excited to try this place out. We had to send back our appetizer of veggies and a trio of dips. The tatziki tasted like pure sour cream, the hummus had no flavor and we still had no clue what the greenish brown mixture was. Both my sister and mothers meal were missing components mentioned in the menu and when we brought it to the waitress attention she seemed as though we were inconveniencing her when we asked for it. I was excited to try the quinoa bowl but again it had NO flavor. Do not understand how this place had any good reviews. Bad food and extremely poor service our waitress looked like she hated being there.

So we gave this place a try for breakfast after a couple visits before hoping for a better experience. Terrible service… waitress playing with hair which is gross. …and food really not good. Do not bother. They need to hire new staff and a chef.

Loved the menu, and the food was excellent! My waitress was awesome, she went out of her way many times to make sure I was satisfied! Thank you for an enjoyable Breakfast!

We had breakfast there once. My sunny side eggs were well done… no yolk. The side of tomatoes must have been sliced the day before and refrigerated because they were mush. The bread was stale. My husband said his egg white omelet was yellow… contained yolks… and was hard and dry. We won’t go back!

Very cool little restaurant on Wickham Rd in Melbourne. Serve a variety of healthy options for breakfast and lunch. The coffee was ok a little on the weak side but I like it leaded. My breakfast burrito was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Was fairly crowded but didn’t effect the service at all. Prices were good as well.

This place is amazing! My sister swears by this little café and now I understand why! I ordered the Pain Perdue and a vanilla latte and they were both delicious. You can never go wrong with mascarpone stuffed challah French toast! Scrumptious!

Wow what a disappointment! After reading some reviews I thought this place would be awesome, especially with an almost 5 star rating. However, this was simply not the case. Upon walking in, the place is really cute! Nice décor with a sort of «hipster» vibe. The hostess promptly seated my boyfriend and I and told us that the specials were listed on a huge blackboard on the wall above the kitchen area. We only waited a few minutes for the waitress to come over and take our drink order. I got a vanilla almond milk cappuccino and my guy ordered a plain almond milk cappuccino. The coffee was good, but not great. As far as food, I ordered the D.I.G Toaster without meat sub avocado. My boyfriend ordered an omelette with tomato, onion, cheese, and avocado on the side. The toaster was meh, the eggs were really dry and tasted cheap. The home fries were burnt, I couldn’t eat them. I ate a little of the sandwich, but ended up picking it apart and just eating the avocado and bread. My guy said the omelette was also dry and agreed that the eggs definitely were lack luster. Like I said, this place was such a disappointment. The look and concept have a lot of potential but the quality of the food just isn’t there.

So I promised myself I’d give this place another go. Ordered the Shrimp and Grits and I am so glad I did. The shrimp were large, plump and juicy. The grits were a flavor bomb with the goat cheese adding a welcomed tangy punch. I saw another patron enjoying a mimosa towards the latter part of our stay so next time I’m jumping on that bandwagon for sure.

I came in right before closing and DIG still had a happy, helpful attitude! Was looking for something vegan so they recommended the beet salad with added veggie patty. I also like the local honey for sale at the front. Awesome place and looking forward to coming back!

Let me start by saying that I love eating healthy organic food and I love the idea and menu of this place but, the chef is absolutely horrible. I ordered the $ 16 grass fed beef burger cooked medium. It showed up at my table bring well done… completely dried out. I complained to the waitress and she mentioned it to the chef who apparently blamed it on the new guy. Any real chef checks the food before it leaves the kitchen. My wife had a wrap and that was greasy and soggy. We’re done giving DIG a chance to win us over. This was our third try. If you’re looking for healthy organic food I recommend The Jungle(beachside). They blow this place out of the water.

After several people had recommended this place we finally decided to check it out. I love that everything is made fresh from local ingredients. We were seated right away when we arrived and after a few minutes a girl came and took our drink orders. I ordered a Belini and my fiancé ordered a beer. We had to wait a little while for the waiter to come take our order, I’m not sure how long. He looked busy but the restaurant was not that busy. I ordered the Pain Perdue with a side of bacon and my fiancé ordered the Blue Benedict(I think that’s what it was called.) Everything was delicious. I’d venture to say the Pain Perdue was the best French toast I’d ever had. I want to go back soon to try some other items on the menu.

This place is amazing! Came here the first time and ordered the d.i.g pig and a bowl of tomato soup. Delicious! Ate half of my meal and ate the other half later, it was even good cold, right out of the fridge. Decided to dine in this time and again, was very pleased. I ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup and my boyfriend ordered the meaty breakfast burrito. Everything compliments each other so well. I don’t really enjoy goat cheese but it was great on this sandwich. The burrito was great, we added some hot sauce and it really set i off. The place itself is big but fills up quickly. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. We will definitely be regulars here.

Foodies rejoice, there is a great place to chow down while in Melbourne! It is right off I-95, so if you are heading north/south, D.I.G.(Dirt Inspired Goodness) is an awesome place to stop for breakfast or lunch. Don’t worry, they have plenty of meat AND veggie options. I was in hurry during a recent business trip, but wish I could have tried more stuff! I asked the server what their vegetarian speciality was and she recommended the Pain Perdue. A lovely challah french toast stuffed with mascarpone cheese with fresh strawberries and bananas. Check out the pic, see those circles of creamy goodness? It’s their house made honey berry butter. Yum! Their menu is full of natural/healthy items; yogurt with house made granola, smoothies, oatmeal brûlée, and whole wheat pancakes. Lots of lunch stuff too! I look forward to returning. Love the vibe, message, service, and food.

Oh this place is hands down the best place to grab breakfast or lunch in the area. Everything is fresh and local. I personally am obsessed with the buckwheat cold bowl, the grilled cheese with the tomato soup, the meat lovers breakfast burrito, and the pita wrap. I’ve also had several of their desserts including a peanut butter chesse cake and some kind of pretzel crust chocolate cake. Very creative! Good food. Pretty good service. But in this area, good food is hard to come by. This place is good!

So first thing, what’s D.I.G. Dirt Inspired Goodness. Stopped here on the way to Kennedy Space Center, and I am glad we did. Has a bit of a «hippie» vibe, which isn’t bad, but I was a little concerned that we may have stumbled into a vegan restaurant(I am a carnivore), but thank goodness this wasn’t the case. They use all local farmers and stay away from chain stores to buy their products, which I wish more places would do more. And it gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling inside that you have supported the local farmers. I got the bacon and cheese omelet it came with some toast and home fries. It was all really good, but everything needed some seasoning(salt).
