Outloud Open Mic @ The Beebe in Melrose meets every third Wednesday of the month, bringing together an amazing collection of ecclectic local talent … poets, musicians, orators, humorists, essayists and performers. I have had the good fortune to attend several Outloud sessions over the past few years and each time come out refreshed and inspired.
The Outloud provides the space at The Beebe Estate, plenty of seating, snacks and beverages from an area coffeeshop, and a warm, inviting crowd. The audience is always open-​minded and responsive … the atmosphere is polite, tolerant and welcoming. Each participant in the open mic gets roughly 10 minutes to read or perform … one featured act presents for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Stop on by … I highly recommend it.
