This park is centrally located and, as Ebonye B. mentioned in her review, does not feel like it’s surrounded by thoroughfares. There is a short (~1 mi) shaded run/​walk path right off of Southern, but you can easily run through some of the other park areas, as well. The park is huge and also includes a big open soccer field, the Cancer Survivors Park, the Botanic Gardens (fee for entry), a golf course/​driving range, tennis courts, and lots of other nice park-​y stuff. It can’t compete with Overton Park’s playground in my book, but this is a really nice spot in Memphis.
