One of my favorite late night spots to visit when I am home. He has a restaurant, and he is mobile. It’s all about the sauce that makes his food stand out from the rest. The Lamb is the best, next to the rib tips(my opinion) check him out, you will not be disappointed

My favorite late night eatery. Bossman used to post up in the parking lots at nightclubs and bars. But here was an unfortunate fire that destroyed his food truck. Now he opens the restaurant up late at night. My favorite items are the rib tips, lamb, smoked sausage and hamburgers. It tastes amazing! The actual restaurant looks a lil sketchy and not located in the best neighborhood(this is why I only gave it 4 stars) but often times those places have the best food. Seems to hold true for Bossman.

NOTGOODATALL! :-(A coworker recommended that I try BOSSMANPITSTOP not the best curb appeal but I still gave it a try. The place was clean and the service was good. Unfortunately the chicken bar-b-q sandwich was tasteless and the bar-b-q beans were just beans thrown in a container.

I feel like the two black people who reviewed this place prior to me lied to me. If this is what’s considered Memphis’ best BBQ, then I’m officially good on all Memphis barbecue. Here’s the thing, BBQ needs to be seasoned. And, soul food too. The rib tips, greens, and mac n cheese were under seasoned. The greens lacked any vinegar or salt and tasted smoky. The mac n cheese, was mostly mac and no cheese. And out of all the rib tops on my plate only one tasted like it had seasoning on it. Also the potato salad tasted like it came from Wal-Mart. Only positives to this place is the service, environment, baked beans, and fried okra. The young lady behind the counter had a great smile. The restaurant had a down home neighborly feel to it. But even with all that, it isn’t enough to come visit.

I cannot say enough great things about this little joint. We were looking for«hole in the wall good» Memphis BBQ and this place delivered! Pork sandwich and ribs is what we ordered. Their fries have a little garlic taste and their sauce, while something we aren’t used to being from Texas, was a welcomed surprise! Definitely go if you have the opportunity!

One of my favorite BBQ spots. The brisket is tender and the lamb chops(!) are delicious. They are very reasonably priced and I have always had a solid customer service experience when I have patronized. On my last visit, I left my purse(so busy trying to eat and talk on the phone). The manager put my purse away for safe keep and when I returned(3! hours later) all of my belongings were still in tact, including my ipad, my credit cards and loose cash. Im definitely a fan!

Some of the best food comes from small restaurants in the neighborhood. This place is no exception to that rule. I absolutely love the lamb tips. This place by far makes the best lamb I’ve ever had without a doubt.

I“ve eaten here, I’ve referred friends and clients to this dine in and the RIBS are awesome, so is the SMOKEDTURKEY, GREENS, FRIEDTOMATOES, FRIEDOKRA, and other SOULFOOD delights. This is one of the cleanest restaurants I have been in and the prices seems fair. I highly recommend BOSSMANPITSTOP

Awesome soul food at great prices! Really friendly people with great service. You really feel at home eating at Boss Man. I had the grilled pork chops, cabbage and green beans all for under 8 bucks, it’s nice to find a place to eat that isn’t scared to season! Boss Man Pitt Stop is well worth stopping in!

This place is very well kept and clean, it comes across as a nice family restaurant. The proprietors seem to take their business seriously. The BBQ pork sandwich is good, but not great. Its sandwiches are comparable to C&J’s in terms of their taste and size. It’s worth a visit.
