Bounty on Broad is my favorite restaurant in town. The food calls. Memphis’s fine dining options are limited and fairly«safe»(I guess I mean predictable). Fortunately we now have Bounty. This restaurant serves innovative fare that’s locally sourced, healthy, delicious, slow-food-that’s-fast and is served up on plates to share. The menu changes weekly but the bestsellers are always available: Stuffed mountain trout and chicken under a brick. Both are incredible. Highlights, besides the food, are the upstairs bar and the restaurant’s design & ambiance. Bar: A great place to get comfortable. Quite small with very friendly bartenders. Eat at your stool if you’d like while watching the Grizz. Peerless for solo gourmand dining. Restaurant: Ambience is superior. Elegant but casual. Beautiful place, beautiful modern space/design with open kitchen. Urban loft style. Helpful attentive staff. Big plus = destination location. Midtown, Broad Ave, close to the Victory Bike folks… Surprising hidden gem. The only cons I can come up with: #1) if the restaurant is full & you’re hard of hearing, it can be a little loud. Ask for a quieter corner. #2) Lunch plz?

Food and service were excellent! We had the pork shank with grits, cauliflower and the frites. So yummy, I can’t wait to go back!

We went there for the Sunday brunch. I loved the industrial touch to the ambience and the idea of family style shareable orders. However I was not very impressed with the food. I had the sweet potato hash topped with duck egg and hollandaise sauce, while the portions were large I did not really enjoy it. My husband had the steak with fingerling potatoes, steak was overdone and lacked flavor. We had the chocolate nirvana for dessert which was good. Service was sub-par as well. Food was overpriced. Definitely will not be one of my top choices for brunch in Memphis.

Greatest food in Memphis. Cauliflower sooooo great. Avocado stuffed eggs excellent. Everything we had was just delectable. Great feeling. Can not say enough great. Trust Bounty is around a very long time. Oh btw a gluten free kitchen! How wonderful is that!

This is an update to my review I left when Bounty on Broad first opened. I gave them 4 stars. I’ve been back twice since and you guys, GOHERE. I’m still dreaming of the pomme frites, the cauliflower, and the rich grits. The service, quality of food, and uniqueness of the dishes is just spectacular. If I could afford it, I’d eat here weekly. YUM

Food is amazing. Portions are meant to be shared. Recent favorites include the chicken wings and the roasted potatoes. Perennial favorites includes the chicken under a brick and the loaded French fries. Our recent party was split on the spring version of the Brussels sprouts vs. the fall version. Cocktails are pricey, though, especially considering the small«champagne» glass that most are served in. Service is pretty good though can get a little scattered with large(somewhat demanding) parties like ours.

One of our best food experiences. We had the cheese & pickled veggies platter. Very good! Next we had hanger steak with root veggies along with fingerling potatoes. Yummmm! The flavors were amazing. You could taste the layers. The waiter was very good. Kept the whole experience one to remember. Farm to table, fresh & real! Oh and it happens to be gluten free. I almost forgot, the cheesecake with lemon cookies… WOW! First cheesecake we’ve had in years. Just know all items are shared at your table, portions are huge. At least ½ of our dinner went home with us as there were only two of us.

I’d been wanting to try this place out forever. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The menu is family style, which is great for sharing and trying different things, but out of everything we tried, the only saving grace was the prime rib and mashed potatoes. The dish was flavorful, tasty and tender, but not exactly inventive or creative. The cheese plate was pretty good, the pomme frites is basically greasy fries. Also had fried oysters, which were okay, but I’ve had better. Service was pretty good. I really wanted to like this place, but it just didn’t do it for me. Maybe I’ll give it another chance in the future.

My new favorite restaurant in Memphis — I love Bounty on Broad! We were there last week for a work dinner and had a great experience. We made an early reservation and were seated on the second floor, but it filled up very quickly. After looking over the menu(and getting instructions that the dishes were intended for family-style dining), we made our decisions — watermelon salad, pommes frites, corvina, half-chicken under a brick, and seared duck breast. The watermelon salad had sliced radishes, diced jalapeño, ginger, and chunks of juicy, sweet watermelon from Franklin, TN. The sweet and spicy hit it off great — super balance. The pomme frites had ham, cheddar cheese, scallions and chèvre — rich, tasty, and very filling! The meat dishes were outstanding and the side dishes that accompanied each really enhanced the flavor of the meat. I think my favorite meat was the duck breast, although the chicken was awesome! We tried the panna cotta and the person who ordered it ate every bite! Our server provided outstanding service. I loved my dinner at Bounty on Broad and I’ll be going back to Bounty on Broad very soon!

Brick Chicken w smoked cream corn was perfect. Hanger steak w root veggies was sublime. Had the cheese course and found it to be very fun and delicious. But the surprise winner for most flavors in a single dish goes to the Watermelon Salad. I recommend everyone try this while it’s on the menu. So much going on and still very light and refreshing. The atmosphere is hip and trendy and the upstairs dining area is very open and inviting. Visit Bounty on Broad soon and often. I’ll definitely go back.

Family style dining surprisingly yummy! Excellent atmosphere upstairs(too bright downstairs) for dinner. A good mix of older and younger crowd. Tables of 4 were the most common. Sharing meals proved to be a fun experience! I was nervous at first, but then enjoyed the opportunity to taste things I might not have ordered. The kitchen serves food as it comes up, so you will be getting food throughout the meal and sharing as well. Both proved to allow us to take our time. We even decided to do the same with dessert! Highlights: Cauliflower(yes and I’m not usually a fan), pork/grits, red fish, banana bread with ice cream Caution: Make reservations and ask to sit upstairs, don’t stress about sharing or when food comes out — enjoy it!

Excellent food and service ! Have wanted to try this place for awhile. Great use of an old building with great modern renewal of the inside but leaving the original properties of the building. Upstairs is large and airy. Loved the«family style«way of trying lots of different dishes. We had 4 people and got 6 things– plenty of food! It’s family style yet they bring things out as they are ready not all at once or in any serving order. So more like tapas in this was but large portions. The location is easy to get to and in a different part of town. Hoping this area takes off as it’s very eclectic. Tip; if you have anyone that cannot do stairs ask to reserve downstairs tables. There are a few on the first floor.

I love this place! We made reservations here tonight but arrived a little late; the host was extremely nice with our tardiness. The food here is great with several mouth watering dishes. The family style serving was perfect! I believe my guess and I ordered so much food. The blacked redfish was perfect also the chicken wings was fabulous. I enjoyed the upstairs setting, this place is a must!

I had oysters on the half shell(with ground horseradish & vinegar sauce– they’re gluten-free so there were no crackers), Brussels sprouts(my favorite! With bacon & apples), beef kebob(with mushrooms, red bell pepper & onion), and tasted the spaghetti squash(I am not a big fan of goat cheese) & the hen’s Gouda grits & greens. Everything was satisfying. Also shared a bottle of good wine with friends. Good quality! One of the best restaurants in Memphis! Also, it seems to attract fun people because I ran into an old friend here which was so fun.

Went for brunch for the first time. One note for those thinking buying only an item for two, or even the more reasonable an item for a person. Um nope, this place is more like three items for two or four items for two. Each item cost range between ten to twenty dollars. Pricy place, yes. But is the food good? Yes, to a degree. My wife likes the food more than I do. They taste fine, but to me not worth the price. The dinning place has awesome decoration though. Might come by next time only for beer, and cheese.

I will have to say unfortunately that our second meal was not as good as the first. Oysters, cheese plate, lamb tartare, brisket and chocolate dessert. Three star meal tonight but is probably a four star place. High quality food at what seems to me to be fair prices. Great atmosphere and service has been good both times. Memphis needs more restaurants like this and I hope they can keep it going. They don’t advertise it but I believe it is gluten free.

I have to say that the Unilocal reservation option is super easy and convenient when trying to get in to this restaurant. Especially since the only other option is waiting until the restaurant is open to call — and who has time for that? ;-) I absolutely love Bounty for Sunday brunch. Their sized-to-share dishes are perfect for a group that wants to sample everything their yummy menu has to offer. This hearty and flavorful food will satisfy any palette; so, bring an empty stomach and a generous heart because you’re probably going to want to keep your dish to yourself!

As a part of a group of five couples, we visited Bounty for a birthday dinner. We were happy to hear that the meal was to be served family style, but unhappy to hear that the checks could not be separated, because the«system was not set up that way». Instead, the checks were basically divided evenly. For us, this was not a big issue, but because one or two of the couples were confused/upset by this, it set a bad tone to the start of the meal. The food was incredible! We loved having a bite or two of half the items on the menu. Our favorites were the okra, the oysters(lemon flavor built in), the sweetbreads(we always get sweetbreads, these were not overly seasoned, just right), and the chicken under a brick. Somehow the chicken was super tender, and because we shared it, felt more expensive. The pricing was reasonable. We shared 3 bottles of wine, 4 entrees, and 5 sides between 10 people, and escaped under $ 100 per couple. The food is all impeccable. Think Andrew Michael without all the pork fat. Delicious! Savory, sweet, fresh, light, umami… it was all there. I don’t know if it’s our favorite, but it is certainly worth revisiting. I do wish that they could explain the check-dividing in a better way, or that they’d just flat admit they don’t want to do the math!

The décor is very open with butcher paper covered tables and open kitchen downstairs. It is a little noisy and they would benefit from some sound proofing materials on the ceiling. Our server was very friendly and very knowledgable. She had too many tables to be attentive. Our beverages were never refilled and we had to wait for her to to get our check etc. The food runner was sweating excessively, literally dripping sweat into our food. The salads are beautiful. The French fry appetizer is enormous and a real stroke of genius with the cheese blend and chives. I would have been satisfied with that mountain of fresh cut fries alone for dinner. The entrée lacked seasoning and the side dishes were undercooked. The desserts are fair. The menu is very limited. I’m not a fan of the family style ordering concept. The restaurant is new and different but very overpriced.
