Wyndham should be ashamed of this property. Does Wyndham has a quality control program?

Leaving in the morning. Thank GOD!!! I use to work at the Baymont Inn about 20 years ago in Gurnee Illinois and up until now i never had anything bad to say about this chain. Ill start off my speaking about the good. The customer service is good and they do clean up the rooms. Actually everyday if you want them to. The TV is a Sam sung and its about the newest and nicest thing they have in the rooms(plenty of channels to. The wifi works good, but not fast enough for me to catch up with my Hulu or Drama fever. The beds are so/so, not hard or extra soft but doable. The bathroom bathtub was redone over and decent enough to shower in. Also i had no problems with the refrigerator they provided. What bothered me was the room in hard as i don’t want to be prejudice against this hotel, you have to understand why. I just came from Sams Town and before that Horse Shoe In Shreveport booking on my sister saved a grip and got the rooms there for basically the same price as this undesirable place! I went from 4⁄5 star hotels to a1/2 star for the same price and I’m suppose to feel happy? You cant possibly feel the same when the whole general makeup of the building and the people are so different. This hotel is located off of a i-40 on Sycamore drive. Its dirt cheap and every last inner city dweller/trash(and whoever else with a few dollars on hand) from further out books a room here. Little things like old carpet with stains and tile needing to be redone in the bathroom aren’t really harped upon. Old curtains and antique(not in a good way) furniture with stains only adds to the shit value. The bathroom is absolutely annoying and very small. The toilet has to be flushed twice which is pretty embarrassing if you re in a room with 2 people in which i wasn’t.The fan is extra loud and doesn’t cut off if the lights are on. One more thing to scare potential hotel seekers away is that i didn’t feel that safe staying here. Sure they have cameras, but the clientele is so vast and different that i made sure i had something on me every time i left out to get ice or ran outside to the car. What scared me was when this guy(Hillbilly in a pick up truck) approached me in the parking lot giving me a sob story about needing some money. He blocked my car and i felt kind of trapped in. Since i was feeling generous and wanting to live that night i gave him 4 dollars, no big deal. The reason why i mentioned this is because i had just pulled in and he saw me and blocked me in. If my cousin hadn’t told me about some seedy saps cooking meth at a nearby hotel in the area i don’t think i would have mentioned this. I mentioned his description in case someone else gets hassled by this guy. Something tells me i don’t think i would have went through this at the Peabody downtown! Hotels along highways that are cheap aren’t the best places to stay if you re a person with options. The hotel worked for me because of the family emergency i was having and our depleting bank account! If you have a few more dollars try the LA Quinta next door by the Waffle House. They usually have very nice hotels. Problem is they’re never under $ 50! This hotel gave me and anyone else who’s without many choices a place to sleep and keep our belongings. I’d recommend it for a quick night to wash the funk off of you, but don’t try to book over a few nights. If you got money to throw away like that, just wait till Billy Bob comes back through. He’ll be glad to take your money and show you the best way to put it to good waste!

Stains already on the sheets on arrival, roaches hanging out in the room, unappetizing and very limited breakfast in the morning, weird and strong smells of disinfectant everywhere, bland bland bland and uninspiring décor, weak wifi signal, even in the lobby, and a terrible location if you’re in the area to see Memphis. It was only about $ 60 per night(with coupon). That is still too expensive for the crap that somehow passes as a motel. Advice: pay a little more, stay a lot closer, enjoy a pleasant, and clean, stay somewhere else while in the Memphis area. Just do not stay here.

They say you get what you pay for, and this«bump and grind» hotel proves it. We had a large group staying for the weekend and the complaints ranged from lost reservations, no attempt to put the group together, unable to get additional towels, to let your towels air dry. Oh, and did I mention the extra guest crawling around the room. The only reason we didn’t move the entire group was the lack of available rooms elsewhere.
