Don Don Hot Wings

In my humble opinion, these are some of the best wings in the Memphis area. Don’t be afraid of the hole-​in-​the-​wall appearance… That usually means it’s going to be amazing. I love they’re hot sauce and if you would rather have boneless wings, they’re all meat. I hate getting boneless wings that are all batter. Check it out.

Recently, we were on Covington Pike, where we were waiting for Garrett’s car to get an auxiliary music port. I thought it was going to be a quick trip, but it ended up taking hours. Therefore, I decided that we needed food.
At first, I only saw fast food chains, but then I saw Don Don’s. I actually don’t think I have ever eaten at one, even though it’s a Memphis thang.
It was a random, non meal time. There were two other groups in the restaurant.
It’s a place where you order at the window. I noticed that they have different specials everyday. The restaurant was small, but kinda cute.
The food is great. Garrett ordered the fish plate, which came with two sides. With his catfish, he got fries and okra. The fries were nothing special, but the fish and the okra hit the spot.
I didn’t want to order the same thing, so I got the hotwings, which came with fries. They were also good. I can’t remember the price, but nothing was very expensive. Try it out. Good fish and good wings.

The honey hot wings here are both delicious and the biggest wings I’ve ever seen. The place has been clean and the service has been good every time I’ve been. The price is right too. Highly recommended wing spot.

We’ve been here SEVERAL times, both for large groups, and for take-​out. The staff are friendly and curteous… with a genuine friendliness that you just don’t find nowdays anymore.
Last time, I ordered their Honey Hot with Extra Hot. They put a whole pepper on that half of the box so I would know which ones they were. *WHEW*
If you go, don’t miss out on the Banana Pudding!!! My favorite wing place of all time.

Don Don’s serves the largest «wings» I have encountered. It is really the wing and the part of the chicken that attaches to the wing. HUGE.
The only reason I don’t give them five stars is that they don’t have enough flavors. If I could combine their wings with the flavors offered at some other places, I would be in heaven.
One more thing: I’ve ordered a LOT of wings from these guys, and had great experiences except for one time. It was Superbowl Sunday, and some of the wings I got were beyond room temperature cold. I heated them up and they were still good though (and I can understand a mistake on that busy of a day).
