I was lucky enough to have recently gotten a chocolate cheesecake from Frost Bake Shop for my birthday. I have a real sweet tooth, & have sampled lots of cakes, pies, brownies & cookies over the years. But without any exaggeration, this is the best cake I’ve ever had. Very dense, with combination of very rich chocolate & cheesecake (cream, cream cheese, thick graham cracker crust) that was just unbelievably awesome (& OK, a little decadent!). We served much of it at a recent (10 person) dinner party, & just got rave reviews. I’ll definitely be back!

YU-​UM. Excellent product. And they are very benevolent in the Memphis community. Can’t beat that combination!

The best cake I’ve ever tasted in my 23 years of living, literally. I’m sooooooo picky and I promise not even grandma’s old fashioned recipe can complete. I’m just at an Awww. My first taste was the strawberry slice, and it literally melts in your mouth!

Frost is out of the way of my normal paths, but it is so worth going out of my way for! The cakes are moist and the gooey cookies are out of this world!
I’m not much on sweets these days, but if I get a craving — Frost is where I go. Their cake/​cupcakes are the most moist out of several bakeries in Memphis. I feel like a cake connoisseur because my mother baked wedding cakes for years. Her cake IS the best and the cakes at Frost are second to hers.

Was driving by on our way to Kirkland’s and saw Frost Bake Shop. I love cupcakes! We decided to stop in to see if they had any. Oh my goodness! They have a variety of cupcakes and cookies. I ordered German Chocolate, Strawberry, Red Velvet, Chocolate w/​vanilla, and gooey butter cookies. All very good! We need a Frost Bake Shop in St. Louis!

it is always a question of muddy’s v. frosts. I get my haircut in the shopping center where muddy’s is located, so I always go there after my hair is sheared off. I also love muddy’s grind house.
having said that, I have been to frosts several times. I love their chocolate cake. it is rich without being cloying.
as for the problems folks complain about service, these seem mostly about special orders. this must be the bane of bakerys’ existences. I was in the Lake Forest Bakery in st. Louis, a venerable institution on more than one occasion where a customer was livid over a cake ordered. also, if you think you have to wait a while at frost’s, or muddy’s try lake forest pasty shop on a Saturday morning. actually… not recommended, though their products are.

I can’t believe I have never given a review of Frost! So this is my favorite bakery. I love this place. Well I love their cakes. I have had their cookies too and they are just as good. My favorite cake is the Memphis Cream which is a banana cake with peanut butter pastry cream and topped with a chocolate ganache. It is so good! I also like their strawberry and pumpkin (Seasonal) cakes but the Memphis Cream or just the Banana cakes are the best. I am not a fan of chocolate (I know weird) but I actually can eat and like their chocolate cake as well.

I only have one word for Frost Cakes! «YUMMY» … I have hadFrost on several occasions but recently had my Grandmother’s 90^th Birthday cake made and on my! Ordered one layer Vanilla and the other Stawberry very moist, and the icing was delicious. …Beautiful cake and tasty everyone loved the cake… cakes can be a little pricey BUT well worth it !

I ordered my retirement cake from here. The cake was even better than the picture I provided? Everyone there is so sweet and really take their time to make sure you get exactly what you want. At my ceremony people could not eat their cake for asking who made it! The fact that they have great samples is a bonus

So I finally went to Frost Bake Shop today and it was a lovely experience. As soon as we walked in, we were kindly greeted by the welcoming staff. As I admired the beautiful desserts, I was offered a sample of their original cheesecake, which let me just say tasted fantastic. As I enjoyed my sample, I looked around their pretty little shop. So simple, so vibrant, so full of color, I loved it. After deciding what to buy, I ordered their cookie cream pie, chocolate gooey cookie and s’mores bar. Now I suppose I was in a cookie mood but let me tell you Frost makes an awesome cookie. OMG… I mean seriously they do. There desserts were delicious and I cannot wait to try more items on my next visit.

I recommend the strawberry anything: cupcake and or cake. As far as my other favorite key lime pie, that might be my new favorite here. I’ve had many key lime pies in my day and this one takes the cake. Just enough tartness and the crust could be eaten on its own. The crunch and creamy filling together make it divine. Can’t forget the cakes: carrot, chocolate, German chocolate. Mmmmmm. Gooey butter cookies are straight from the heart of the Midwest, STL style. Usually a cake the cookie version is much easier to eat.
BREAKING NEWS! Just had the frost bite w strawberry. Soooo good. Strawberry dipped in bliss. I could go on and on about FROST. Everything here is a treat. Come by today.

Frost bake shop is the place to go when searching for local home made desserts.
I always bring my friends from out of town here for local yummy desserts. Frost is one of my top 3 dessert shops. The gooey butter cookies, strawberry gooey cookie are super yummy.
Always have to get my out of town friends to try their Memphis cream cake! Banana nut bread like cake with peanut butter icing and chocolate gnache on top. It’s light, moist, and yummy on all aspect.

Frost’s key lime pie is fantastic! My husband and I live in Chicago, but when we are visiting family in Memphis, we always pick up a whole key lime pie to bring home. Their key lime pie freezes well, so you can cut off slices to defrost as needed. A perfect tartness, not too sweet, with a rich graham cracker crust.
I also love their mini pies. Frost has a great selection of mini pies from$ 3 – 4. All great tastes. While the bakery makes beautiful wedding cakes, but I also love their mini pies as a fun wedding dessert options.

First time here. The German cupcake was good. Strawberry cupcake was great! I also love the chocolate chip cookie sandwich!!! Great little treat spot!

I found out about Frost when they included their gooey butter cookies in a Batch Memphis box. This lasted .1 seconds, and I was hooked.
The bakery itself is attractive in a subdued way, not the over-​the-​top Pinterest explosion of Muddys. I’ve had multiple items here but my favorite is the Gooey Butter Cookies-​gooey, buttery, decadent and delicious. Also really outstanding is Memphis Cream cupcake-​tributing Elvis, the mix of peanut butter and banana is rich and flavorful. The gooey chocolate is also good but pales compared to its butter counterpart, and the other cupcakes are just as rich and yummy as what you would find in the midst of the current cupcake craze. The cookies are also worth a try, I’m partial to the chocolate chip and the snickerdoodle. The satellite bake shop they have in Atoka is a smart business model, but they don’t offer the cheesecakes and tiramisus, both of which are also yummy. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. I doubt you will either.

I just wanted to start out by saying they went above and beyond anything you could ask for in a business. The day after my wedding someone actually ate the top tier of my cake —I know I was shocked/​mad too. A year later the top tier of my wedding cake was on my door step. They recreated my top tier for free (my mother and father in law paid for it to be shipped) since I now live in New Mexico. I can not thank you enough and the kind gesture you have done.
This place also makes the best cakes —they use real buttercream and cream cheese for the frosting. As gorgeous as my wedding cake was you would have thought it was made with fondant (I hate fondant)

I am so not a sweets person at all. So it’s kind of last minute. I’m freaking out a little because I have to find a cake for a party. I went on #yelp and found this phenomenal bakery. Y’all when I tell you I have never ever in my life tasted something so moist, creamy, and fluffy. On top of the out of this hemisphere taste the prices are to affordable to say no.
The ladies at The Frost Bake Shop must have hands kissed by God because what they’re baking up is absolutely heavenly. #newcustomer #byebyekrogercakes

I have had the following cake:
Lemon cake, strawberry, coconut, caramel, snicker-​doodle, Memphis cream, red velvet — OKAY Everything.
The following cookies: Ooey Goeey Butter cookies in butter and chocolate, all of their frosting stuffed cookies and all of their brownies.
The cake is always moist and the frosting delicious– THE BEST. Their cookies are soft-​baked and amazing. so are the brownies. I consider myself to be a «desertie» aka «foodie»
aka I LOVE MY SWEETS and when I travel I want to go to try out each town’s «best» for baked sweet treats and to me Frost takes the cake!
**I even took a cake class at their central bake shop in Cordova and got to see the inner workings of where they do all of their baking at…
They use real butter for icing if buttercream and cream cheese for cream cheese frosting. No shortening :) And their facility is SPOTLESS!

I am going to go ahead and pat myself on the back a bit for this one because I just hit a home run. Brides were more than jealous (literally gasping and then mumbling that my birthday cake was prettier than their wedding cake), people accosted me all night asking who made this piece of art, the professional photographer AND videographer couldn’t stop taking photos of it, and guests were asking for doggie bags so they could take home some yummy goodness with them.
And all I did was swing by the shop a month ahead of time, showed a nice lady the picture of a cake I found on Pinterest, paid the $ 550, popped back by the morning of my party and was on my merry way. Easy peasy.
Oh, and there were three flavors in it: chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. All were winners.
It was literally the centerpiece of my party — and worth every penny.

Such a cute bake shop with amazing dessert options. I had a delicious chocolate chip pecan cookie that melted in mouth! The mini cherry pie was great as well! This place has everything from cookies to cakes. Frost is definitely worth the calories.

It is definitely snobby enough, but the owners seem to be sweet people! It is a bit too pricey, but the desserts are decent!
