Very sweet people and great hot dogs! Will be back. They are super friendly and will talk up a storm. There is a variety of great hot dogs that are made to order. I just can’t sat say enough great things about them.

I love this place! Its the only place in Memphis to get a quality hot dog. I go there 3 – 4 times a week and the hot dogs are always cooked to perfection.

Some friends and I each got the Groupon for this place. We went in and said we had it and he immediately said only one of us can use it. We inquired why and he claimed one groupon per group. We found this strange as there were no tables inside. He claimed that his iPhone app wouldn’t allow him to do more than one groupon per group. We argued that it didn’t make any sense. He insisted that it’s not possible. I said we weren’t doing multiple groupons per individual, just one per as the fine print stated. He went and grabbed a paper and was reading it. Realizing there was nothing regarding a limit on individuals in a group, he hastily told us to wait and he had to make a call. After a couple of minutes he said that he could do it but we have to wait up to 10 minutes for them to «update the app». Expectedly, his demeanor and tone in dealing with his own ignorance and his unwillingness to accept fault left everyone in my group feeling awkward and annoyed. He immediately began serving someone else and we decided to leave. This left us hoping we could get our money refunded since this experience was so bothersome.

Thomas Bourne recently moved his«Southern Dawg» cart indoors at 670 Waring Rd. All«Dawgs» are still served from the cart and all orders are for carry out. There are no tables in the store for dine in. I stopped in and ordered the«Memphis Dawg.» It was a tasty ¼ lb. Nathan hot dog, topped with a family recipe barbecue sauce(quite tasty) and a store purchased slaw.(not so tasty) Sorry Thomas, the slaw didn’t cut the mustard(Muster). Now if the slaw had been a family recipe(even some other family.) It would have elevated this«Dawg» to greatness. The Nathan’s hot dog was cooked perfectly, the barbecue sauce was very good, but the oh so bland, bought from Sam’s, coleslaw is not going to work. It let the«Big Dawg» down. There are so many good slaw recipes out there that could make your«Dawg» Unilocal! Make your own slaw recipe my friend and you’ll have a winner. I will still stop by and sample some of Thomas’ other offerings and cheer him on. Thomas was very cordial and I like the idea of being able to slip a good hot dog into the diet every once and a while.
