As Mary F. said in her review, these people appreciate photography. They really take the time to talk with you about your personal likes and dislikes, and seem to appreciate how much your photos might mean to you personally. They have a beautiful selection of colors and textures and they have great suggestions for the perfect combinations of mattes and frames to encase your art or photo. They have a way of choosing the right options so as not to overpower, but to complement your pictures. Great, quality work, and fantastic service.

Love, love, love this place. I took some old photographs in of my great-grandmother to these guys for them to frame. Each photo was around 8.5 X 11 after I got them to the size I wanted for my walls. I had been to Michael’s and a couple of other boutique frame stores in Memphis and all that was suggested to me was really very very blah. Needless to say, the taller guy got into a conversation with me about the photos(I love it when people appreciate old photography). He asked me what my grandmother was like. I told her she had a very quiet, «prim and proper» personality in public but was rather funny, ribald with her jokes and outgoing when family were around for visits. Long story short, I had both photos matted and framed and they express exactly my grandmother’s persona. Being black and white photos, I was THRILLED with the pale copper textured mats that were selected and the frames that showcased — but did not overwhelm — the photos. Village Frame and Art has my business forever.
