Waffle House

The service is iffy here. I have to ask for refills when needed. The server is nice enough, just not attentive and one the only customer in the place. The food is really good all things considered. They have a ribeye and eggs special tonight for $ 11.45 so the price is excellent. Don’t expect a huge ribeye. These are the thin 6 or 8 oz cuts. I come here when I can’t sleep and need to get some reading done or to schedule bill payments. It passes the time and I’m ready for bed when I get back home. I always bring the iPhone and headset to block out the distractions. One thing that is common with ALL Waffle Houses is the uncomfortable seating. They definitely don’t want you to make yourself comfortable for a long stay. I have to say the place is clean.

I don’t eat at Waffle Houses too often, mainly because I don’t live near one but also because the ones I have visited on trips are often dirty, greasy, and unappealing. Not so for this one. The service was good on all three mornings, and the restaurant was clean. Food was not gourmet, but you can’t beat the waffles and sausage.

So I stopped here on the way home from Walmart. I read some of the reviews and I must say I’m not sure what waffle house they were at, but this location is one of the best locations I’ve ever been too. The service was top knotch. The waitress was very nice and friendly. The cook was awesome. The food was great and got it in a very timely manner, despite how busy they were.

Stopped in on our way out of Memphis. The place is clean, server was friendly, good came fast and tasted quite good. I had pecan waffles w/​bacon and wife had eggs & hash browns. Nothing fancy but tasted great. Bacon was a bit crispier than I like, but wasn’t burnt and definitely better than the alternative. Would eat here again.

Don’t eat here. Go to another Waffle House. Many reasons:
1. Service — Our server was terrible (a couple servers seemed to be great). Our server spent more time outside smoking (I know this by her smell and lack of presence in the building).
2. Cleanliness — food on forks, menus and the table after they «cleaned» it.
3. No soap in the bathrooms and they had not be cleaned recently.

This is by far one of the worst WH I have eaten at. The waffle was burned, the onions not cooked inside the hash browns and the toast was not toasted.
In addition to all this, the wait staff was not terribly attentive.
Find another one or maybe go to Bob Evans a block away.
