A+++++ Ok was a little turned off that this was a trailer. but the line of people made me stop. People ranging from suits to jeans and everything between. I ordered the meat plate, and chose the pork shoulder, it also came with 6 ribs, a sausage, beans, slaw, and toast. Everything was amazing! First time I ever finished the sides before the meat… The beans were the best I have ever had in my life! The sausage had flavor not just heat. The ribs were great and the pork shoulder can make you cry. I would defiantly try this place again next time I’m in town.

Located at the southwest corner of the very busy intersection of Lamar Ave and Shelby drive you will find a tiny trailer smoking up some of the best Barbecue I have ever tasted. The pork sandwich is overloaded with tender lean meat with a nice light smoke. The fresh slaw and their wonderfully herbed sauce highlight it very well. Then the ribs! Oh my, these are some of the best I have ever tasted. Moist, tender and crusted with a dry rub I can’t describe but other than delicious. Only served to go but if this were a little sit down barbecue joint they would be known by now.

I picked this spot based off the previous reviews! And everyone 2as spot on. So delicious ribs just melted off the bone and into my mouth. The BBQ sauce is a force to be rekoned with, the spices were balanced smokey and harmonious. The beans and slaw were just as amazing. The costumer service was some of the best I have had. Yeah the spot is out of the way but for the value and flavor you would be missing out over going the extra distance to help support this establishment that has been serving a community for 4 years in that location.

Oh my! What a treat! The lady running this tiny trailer(look for a miniature, gray caboose across Selby from Exon station) came out after piling sacks of carry out orders into several cars, to apologize for not being able to chat! The slaw, beans, riblets and fried bologna were absolutely scrumptious!

Memphis BBQ… How do you judge it? Consistency? Popularity? Authenticity? Personality? TASTE? I think the later is the better! Where to start? How can you describe a flavor you can’t taste in any other BBQ? It’s a really good flavor, but completely unfamiliar to me. I don’t know what it is, but it’s good enough to make me want more. Not to toot my own horn, but, I can say I’ve sampled enough local BBQ to be qualified to judge pork in the Mid South. The ribs where a little bit different than the usual electric smoker ribs around town. Let’s start with that, it’s not that they weren’t «tender» it’s just they didn’t «fall of the bone» like I’m used to. Sometimes I think the meat lacks«teeth» in most BBQ places.(Don’t expect me to explain that well) I guess I mean the amount of teeth needed to manly eat ribs off bones. Whatever. I had to kind of work on them to eat them. The taste was amazing! Spiced like none other! Try them and you will see for yourself! The trailer says they take credit cards but they couldn’t on my visits so bring cash. The local ATM’s charge heavy. I’m going to try the pulled pork next. Slaw was meh. Beans were pretty ok. Straight up «baked beans» not«BBQ beans» There’s a difference. You’ll see

Best BBQ I’ve had in Memphis. Ribs were excellent. They grew on me as I ate more. I even tried Fried Bologna… very good. Coworker tried the hotdog… she said it was excellent. Friendly people in the trailer… one little table to sit at outside, but definitely a place I’ll try again. Right between 4 and 5 stars, but compared to other BBQ around here… definitely 5 stars.

We stopped here on our way through town and were very pleased with the friendly service and FANTASTIC ribs. The ribs are what I would call barely wet. They are traditional dry rub with what I think is a touch of fennel and a light coat of sauce. Definitely could be the best ribs in town and most certainly the best service!

Entering memphis my husband and i had to get some bbq! After reading several reviews i decided to stop by this place! OHLAWDDDD ! I have nothing to complain about my bbq pulled sandwhich except that i should of gotten a large! Its just a small little shack! Perfect for on the go! It was perfect to stop by order and go! In the car it was a moment of silence as we munched down every single bite of this amazing bbq! I got some chips and cole slaw and i never finish my coleslaw but this one i ate every bite! Ps its not a restaurant but theres a gas station across the street if your traveling and wondering if theres a bathroom :)

I would also agree that this is the best bbq in memphis. I prefer their pork plate/sandwich over central, cozy corner, paynes, bbq shop, memphis bbq company, toms etc. Great service as well for what it’s worth. Beans and slaw are not unique but they’re damn good. Bread is good. Just a perfect pork plate. I never thought I’d say it, be the shack on the side of the street at lamar and shelby is my favorite BBQ in memphis!

This spot is located in the Mascari Glass Co. Parking lot directly across the street from Church’s Chicken. Next door to the Pilot gas station on Lamar. Some folks park at the Pilot and walk over. The food itself is pretty good. I got the large chopped beef sandwich and my wife got the chopped chicken. The chopped beef was pretty good the meat was tender and they added a nice pile of slaw on top. I had some of my wife’s chopped chicken and it was the winner. The chicken was slightly smoked and had just enough bbq sauce and a small bit of slaw on it. I think the turkey legs are probably the best thing on the menu because they were sold out went I ordered one. This spot is a lil hard to find but give it a shot.

This was the best barbecue I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious. Hard to believe that they can cook the way they do in that little shack. If I lived in Mississippi I would go to this restaurant every week.

I had to stop in this place after passing it a few times… that smoke flavor gets to me. Started simple, a BBQ Bologna sandwich with slaw and chips. MIGHTYDAMNGOOD. More flavor in that sandwich than any other version I’ve ever eaten. Even better than Central BBQ’s version. Going back soon to try the BBQ. 4* vs 5* for now as it is pricier than some other establishments. But, it might just be worth it. I can still taste the smoke flavor in that sandwich from yesterday! YUM! … Fast forward to lunch today. The ½ slab rib plate. FANTASTIC. I’ve had BBQ in every Memphis restaurant, in KC, in TX, Amateur Judge in Memphis in May(voted for The Shed who won the People’s Choice that particular year). The ribs I ate today are in fact the BESTRIBS I have ever eaten. Rendevous should take a lesson from them — they look a little like Rendevous ribs, with that particular dry rub, but, Wellingtons smokes these babies — don’t know how long, but not over charcoal in a couple of hours. The price for the ½ slab plate, $ 12.75 was well worth it, tons of food, enough for almost 2 people. Beans were good and smoky tasting, slaw just OK, it’s the mustard slaw, almost like Rendevous without the vinegar taste, but 3 times the amount of slaw or beans you get there.(I prefer more of a mayonnaise based slaw, but if you like the mustard based slaw you’ll love this) I’ll fight the Shelby Dr. /Lamar traffic every day for this place. Upgraded, and rightfully so, to 5***********************.

Had a half slab ribs with potato salad and beans. Also a brisket sandwich with a side of slaw. The ribs were FANTASTIC! Meat candy! The beans, potato salad and brisket were all equally yummy. The nice lady at the counter warned that we would be back… we definitely will!

Small cart that has a smoker attached. I ordered the large beef sandwich combo with bean and slaw as the sides. Wife ordered the same just the pork version. Maybe the best brisket«sandwich» I have had I put sandwich in quotations because it is impossible to eat as such. Best to just get rid of the bread from the start eat the filling with a fork and use the bun for sopping up. The right amount of smoke and not fatty at all the sign(in my mind) of proper brisket. Sauce was good not to sweet not to overpowering. I usually prefer sliced brisket instead of chopped but, this was my exception to the rule. Slaw and bean were good as well but didn’t take away from the star being the sandwich. Shall return very soon to test out the rest. Good value for money 18 bucks for the two combos with drinks
