Fish Net On the Hill

First of all, if you go for lunch on a Sunday either go early or go late. They are open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. As you drive up the hill to their parking lot, you know from the amount of cars that this must be a popular place. Extensive menu but their speciality is the local cat fish. An appitiser of their famous hush puppies will give you an idea of how good the food is. I decided on the grilled cat fish fillet which was some of the best I have ever had. Don’t have to worry about asking for extra tarter sause as they provide a bottle full similiar to ketchup at each table, which I have never seen before! Service was excellent and while it might not be worth a drive from Houston, it is certainly worth the drive if you live around here. I will be back.

Best Hush Puppies ever. I unfortunately live in a region that doesn’t know what real hush puppies are like. This place has excellent food; every visit to Mena includes a stop or two here. Catfish is delicious and service prompt and courteous. I would import you to Seattle if I could!
