Best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Well worth the two hour drive– I wish I was kidding. I love the atmosphere– it’s kind of like being at a picnic except indoors, think– umbrellas open at tables in the restaurant. The sausage pizza is amazing and the bread and fries nestled under the crispy fried chicken are notable as well. The chicken is always served FRESH– it takes a little bit of time to get your food so that’s how you know it’s straight out of the fryer. The chicken is always top quality and juicy, never dry.
I’ve never been let down! It’s always super reasonable for the quality– I want to say around $ 5 for a fried chicken dinner. Throw in a sausage pizza and a cold pitcher of Miller light and you’ve got yourself a night.

Great fried chicken place out in the Country. Almost as good as Rip’s in Ladd, IL but no bar area, more seating and no servers (tipping). Folks are all friendly. You place your order at the main counter, slide over & pick up your own drinks and then find an open table & wait for your Number to be called.
You will be hungry & it will taste good. Trust me. Also have other food on the menu besides fried mushrooms, fried onion rings and, of course sliced pickles. See their website if curious.
I like the location as you can hop on a highway nearby or ride the backroads.

Really good fried chicken, made Fresh to order, there is a bar upstairs, video ganes for the kids. they also have pizza and
ONLY.THEY DO HAVE A ATM.

The owner need a lesson in customer service and how to treat a human being. Second time here and she is so crabby. 1^st visit I asked her what was easier for her when ordering drinks weather to pay separate or add to my bill? She rolls her eyes at me at breathes out heavy. Second visit she and her son are working the drink station again and we forgot to order a diet pepsi and same cranky pants. Listen lady how about we order our drinks when we order our food like all the other restaurants in the world do? Duh! Geesh. My two boys love the place so that is why I am here. As long as they are happy Ms. Cranky pants can do her thing but be aware.

Best greasy chix in the territory, if you have the stomach for it! Better order off the menu if your gut is tender. Upstairs bar is cool.

I’ve had the good fortune of eating here several times, while visiting a longtime comrade, and I’ve never been disappointed. The chicken and sides are all good, the drinks and food are very reasonably priced, and you’re never unable to see one of their TVs, when a game is on. I love fried chicken, and Sip-N-Snack’s chicken is among my favorite.

Rip’s may be synonomous with fried chicken in the area, but Sip-​N-​Snack is, in my opinion, far better and more of a secret. Great food (some of the best fries I’ve ever had), but it’s very well known among the locals who swarm the place within minutes of it’s opening at 5pm. Definitly try to get there before opening so you can get your order in quickly; the place is quite spacious, but it’s surprising how fast it fills up.
