Dr. Chan no doubt knows her field thoroughly. At no point during my appointments with her did I ever have cause to doubt her thought process, because she shared the entire thought process with me, which I appreciated. My only concern about her is her manner of interacting with me. I feel more like she is giving a presentation than connecting with me and my specific concern. The thing that really bugged me was that every time I have been to see her, she has not once informed me when the appointment was over. Instead, she would just turn her back to me and start typing in the computer, and then at some point turn around and tell me we were finished, as if I should have known that. I would definitely recommend her technically, but if you are apt to be but off by interactions like I describe, you may want to keep looking for a different provider.

I got recommended to Dr Chan by my allergist. Dr Chan is wonderful. She listened to my issues, read the notes from the allergist, and explained why she wanted me to undergo certain procedures. It was scheduled quickly, done painlessly, and she spent a good portion of time with me at the followup appointment to explain what the issue was, how to treat it, and helped me sort out what information I had was more fiction than fact. The spouse was there at the follow-up. Based on her bedside manner, and how thorough she was in explaining everything, the spouse is now planning to go to her for the same problem I have.

Not so hot. Not that available with appointments in office only once a week. Oh, and she prescribed me some old-time medication which instead of treating my symptom, actually exacerbated and caused side-effects. I googled it and nowheres did it mention what she said it was supposed to achieve. All I can say is ‘phooey’
