My previous psychiatrist yelled, swore, and threatened me with taking my child away. She had me committed to Stanford without ever meeting me, just on someone’s say-​so. When I switched to Dr. Missett, I was very fearful at first. But he assuaged my fears, found I had been misdiagnosed and mis-​medicated. He found the correct meds and dosage for me, and was always professional about everything.
My prior doctor began every session by asking me about my finances, because, she said, I needed to see her more frequently. Dr. Missett, always professional, never once asked about money, even though I had very bad insurance at the time and had to pay 75% out of pocket.
