Bixels Salon and Spa Studio

I honestly cannot say enough about Bixels. Jake has been doing my hair for years! I constantly get compliments about how beautiful it is. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you are at home. It does not have the stuffy feel some other salons in the area will give you. Not only is Jake wonderful at doing hair, he would do anything for anyone. He even comes in at 7 am on his day off to do my hair as I have a very busy schedule. I don’t know many others that would do that! I have had massages, pedicures, facials, manicures, and waxing done at Bixels and have always been beyond satisfied with not only the results, but also the care given to me during the services. I highly recommend Bixels! You truly cannot go to a better salon.

Was quoted one price on the phone and charged a different price when I got there after the haircut. When I called to make the appointment, I was very specific in my questions to make sure I was clear on pricing. When I asked to see manager about pricing, Manger told me «Sorry, we can’t guarantee prices over the phone». Have NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING. I have never seen a business run so poorly. when I called to explain my side to the owner, he talked over me, would not let me get a word in, insulted me and then hung up on me. Have never had such bad service in my life. With social Media as big as it is, I cannot believe that anyone would take a chance at having a bad review. The old story goes «have a good experience, and tell 1 person, have a bad experience and tell 20». I will tell everyone I know about this experience. I have heard other complaints about this salon from friends. Some of the staff have no idea what they are doing. The owner claims to be a «Christian». Extremists…
As I read through the brides bad experience, I can see exactly how that happened. Never mind that the party spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars there. That didn’t seem to matter to the owner. He wanted those 2 appointments that were missed paid for.
I will make sure that everyone I know hears about how money grubbing this low class salon is. True class takes responsibility.

I recently moved out of Ohio so I no longer go to Bixel’s, but my GOSH do I miss it! Kali was the absolute best. She is amazing with hair and honestly one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met.
The salon is beautiful and it offers a lot of spa services. I got a massage here with my mom and sister around Christmas and it was nothing short of magical. The atmosphere once you walk into the massage area is so peaceful and beautiful. My masseuse (I don’t recall her name) was incredible!
My mom still gets her hair done here, and she always has fun stories to tell me about her chats with the owner, Jake (who is also a very sweet and talented man!) My dear mom is so particular and picky about her hair and this is the only place she has EVER become extremely attached to, and for good reason. Also, you cannot beat their prices!
Bixel’s, I miss you!

I had previously gone to an Aveda salon, but was so disappointed that I had spent over $ 200 at one appointment only to have the color drastically fade within three weeks. I knew i had to find a new (non-​Aveda) salon before I went broke. As I’m somewhat new to this area, I found Bixels Salon via Unilocal and made my first appointment with Angela. Unlike other salons I’ve been to, Angela took a lot of time to ask me what I wanted and helped me select my color. She used Keune color on my hair — which I’ve never used but have heard really great things about — and it looks gorgeous. She did a fantastic job on my cut, color and style — surpassing my expectations. The owner stopped in to talk to me and he was very nice and welcoming. My experience here was really great. If you’re looking for a full-​service salon with top of the line products and knowledgeable, customer-​oriented staff members this is the place!

I flew to Ohio to be in my friend’s wedding, and the bridal party spent the morning at Bixels getting our hair and makeup done. They took GREAT care of us. The four of us were in and out in just about 2 hours, we all looked fabulous, and team of women that worked on us were fantastic. Christian, Tara, Beth, and Tina were all professional, adorable, quick, and did incredible work. I even got my bangs trimmed! This California girl probably won’t make it back to visit them, but I HIGHLY recommend them.

Tara and Jill did the hair and makeup for my wedding party and they did a TERRIFIC job. They were prompt with communication, friendly and efficient the day of. They were flexible as the day got a little crazy and most importantly, all the girls looked beautiful. Thanks so much!

I normally go to BIxels for massage with Judy. She only works on Saturdays and is the team massotherapist for the Browns. I need someone that can beat the sore out of me and after an hour, I am done. Problem solved.
Owner is on site; my wife and daughter have never had a bad experience there. I don’t have any hair so my opinion is moot.
Place is clean, free coffee, and always welcoming.

This was my first time going to Bixels today. I had a Swedish massage and they squeezed me in for a shelac manicure afterwards. Great services, super friendly and professional staff! I will definitely be a returning customer!

If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing place to get your hair done then head to Bixels. When my stylist called to inform me that she was leaving her salon and moving to another I was upset because I LOVED the place she was leaving, but she’s far too good to not follow (I’m sure someone out there can understand my fear of having to find a new stylist when you’ve had one you love for oh so long!) but I’m go glad I did!
Bixels is the perfect salon — great relaxing décor, every kind of service you could want (hair cutting and color, waxing services, massages, nail services, even spray tan — and no it’s not one of those awful turn you orange mystic tanning things but someone who actually sprays you) and the staff is excellent! Oh, and I should mention this little bonus — when you’re waiting for your color/​perm/​whatever takes awhile to set in — you wait in one of the plentiful massage chairs (Won’t lie — I always wishfully hope that my color takes a little longer to set with each visit). Products are also organic and eco friendly so you’re hair never comes out feeling or looking dry or damaged.
If you’re looking for a new salon, then I couldn’t recommend this one any more! I would honestly recommend any of the staff as they are all talented and super fun! One word sum up: fabulous!
