The best NY style pizza you will find in Meridian, MS. I know that isn’t saying much, but it really is pretty darn good pizza. Closed Sundays and some holidays(unless they just take way too long to answer the phone for a call in order). A little pricey for a pizza, but I will continue to order from there until I leave Meridian for someplace a little more cosmopolitan.

Let me start by clarifying that all in my party had pasta options so I cannot comment on the pizza. The pasta, however, was awful for all four of us and we had three different meals. Two had baked Rigatoni with meatballs. The meatballs were alright but the pasta was underdone and the marinara tasted too sweet/odd. It also barely contained any cheese for which it was baked. I had the parmiana, which was a cream sauce combined with marinara with Spaghetti. The Spaghetti was all stuck together and cold, like the noodles had been sitting in water for too long. The sauce had a weird taste like an odd spice like a hint of mint. Nothing tastes fresh or very good except for the which bread was garlicky with butter and was delicious. The restaurant itself also shared space with Subway so the ambiance is pretty much non-existent. If you want pasta, I would skip this restaurant. I really wanted to like it because everyone was nice and working hard, unfortunately the end product was not very good.

Stopped into this local pizza/Italian joint at the request of my Nephew who eats here frequently. We were in town for Easter weekend and there were seven of us eating. The place was full on Good Friday at 7:30, which indicates to me that people like this place. It is housed in a building that shares half of the place with a subway. I’m sure it is cheaper to share the bathrooms than to have their own stand alone… We walked in and were a little confused as we saw the ‘order here’ sign which is hanging in the middle of where you can enter or exit, but we quickly noticed we were at the wrong end to place our order so we slipped to the back of the newly formed line of people that had walked up. Menu board is difficult to read because of the colors used and it is spread out very wide across the wall. Paper menu was adequate and much easier to navigate through. Once at the register, somewhat flustered, we tried to ask for suggestions and the guy entering it on the computer really didn’t care to be bothered with our questions but the girl standing next to him was all about helping us make our choices. We were very disappointed that they do not have a gluten free crust or crust-less pizza option. it is 2015 and this should be something that would be nice to have when visiting this place. Everything that we ordered tasted great. We ordered two different pizzas, one of which was veggie, and were told later at the table that they were out of some of the ingredients. Not sure why that wasn’t relayed to us at the time of purchase. My dish was the Shrimp Alfredo pasta, very tasty, but very watery and not thick and creamy. Wife had the Grilled Shrimp salad and loved it. Garlic bread was dang tasty. Wait staff that ran the food was incredibly cordial and very pleasant to visit with and helped everywhere on the floor. I was disappointed that each of our four dishes came out in different times. Salad was left on the line until we went up and asked for it. Stepping up their game in regards to how the food comes out is an easy fix. Drink station is self service. Food is prepared in open viewing of the seating area, which i really liked. Floors were clean and the restaurant looked very presentable, didn’t make it to the restroom to check it out. Weird being attached to a subway IMO. Will I come back when in town again, you bet! Would I suggest this to someone, you bet! Hoping the have a gluten free crust, you bet!

We stopped at Nick and Al’s on the way from New Orleans to Alabama around dinner time. We were looking for a delicious dinner that wouldn’t take too long and Nick and Al’s came through on both fronts. We were all very hungry and we all ordered calzones and they were large enough to fill us up and fueled us for our car ride. We were a larger group and they were very accommodating. The service was excellent. We will definitely be stopping by again on our next road trip through Meridian and next time I want to try Frankie’s dessert calzone. Thank you Nick and Al!!!

Just know that LARGE is not large … Large is actually what they call their small pizza. Then there are 2 other non-sense names that are medium and large just to confuse you and make you order the wrong size if you havnt studied the menu board. Food is good though!
