Prior to leaving on a 14 hour drive from Virginia to meridian I called this hotel to verify that they took pets. I was told that they did. After 15 hours in a car with a baby, cat, and two birds I pulled in and went to pay and was informed that no they don’t take pets. I told them what time I called and that I had spoken to an Indian gentleman and they acted like I was making it all up. There was even a pet fee charge on the paperwork they gave me. The women working the counter were poorly dressed and rude. I’m glad it happened tho because we ended up next door at the drury hotel and got an amazing experience for the same price as this crappy looking hotel.

*Polite and helpful staff. *room was adequate — however, if you’re sensitive to old cigarette smell, this is not the motel for you ! I tolerated it because it was getting late *wifi is fast :) *cost was reasonable *room was clean for its age *bed, pillows an furniture were comfortable *a plus — in room micro and small refrigerator *great free breakfast ! Make your own waffles. :)

Our room was one of those rooms with the portal doors into the next room. Usually that door leaves one with a sense of mystery, «who could be in there? Could it be some unlicensed doctor performing illegal surgeries? A mexican cartel drug runner waiting for someone to come pick up the stash? A traveling comedian/magician at the end of his rope snorting coke and waiting for his next gig?» All very exciting prospects, however for us the mystery was solved when the unusually large group of southern lady’s stayed up all night long yelling and having a blast, drinking hennesey(I know it was hennesey cause they were all very happy that they had hennesey and mentioned it out loud a bunch of times)… Needless to say, it wasn’t the best nights rest… plus the shower was horrid!

Like many, we were on a long drive and looking for an inexpensive place to crash overnight. We got what we paid for. Another reviewer mentions a pool — I think he’s confused — no pool. It was clean, reasonably quiet, nice enough staff. The WiFi was free and strong(we were way down on the end). The room maintenance wasn’t great — two of the 4 lights were missing bulbs(CFCs which people steal) and there were some badly patched holes in the wall. The breakfast was OK — the usual pastries and cold cereal but they did have a fresh waffle machine and it was clean. But I judge a cheap motel by three things: Is the bed good: Yes Is it Quiet enough to sleep: Yes Is the shower good: Yes — with a new fancy adjustable head, steady water temperature and plenty of pressure.

Pleasantly surprised by the Super 8 in Meridian MS. Basically we were looking for a place to stay after driving over 10 hours. The rooms were large and clean, apparently they have renovated the place in the not too distance past. The room had a flat screen TV, mini-fridge, microwave and the heating unit worked but was not noisy. They have a no additional cost breakfast which included make them yourself waffles, muffins, cereal, juice and coffee. It is better than most«free» breakfasts I have had at hotels and motels over the years. The cost was what you would expect. They have wireless internet which works very well. If I ever stay in Meridian again, which is on the way to one of my favorite destinations so I may well do so I will stay at the Super 8 again.

I remember staying here and partying here when I was stationed in Meridian. Lot’s of young marines and sailors have partyed thier butts off here and at the bar out back… It’s your standard Motel with a pool and lots of loud guest on the weekends… at least it was when I was out there more than 5 years ago.
