I like it! The food is pretty good, it’s a clean, nice place. The bathrooms are good — private rooms — hey it’s a big deal when you hit middle age! But yah I’ve been here a few times now. The bartenders and waitresses are always really nice, and the food is surprisingly good. That sounds like a left-handed compliment, «surprisingly good». But yah it’s worth going back for and they have a decent menu. I like it. I’ll be back!!!

We needed a BREAK” last night… A short drive w/loads of FREEPARKING; we were inside &immediately relaxed. We usually drop-in on TUESDAY for their special2/$ 22 deal(Timeless classics menu).Last night we just wanted good food& a chance to relax. With no specials we were able to to choose from the entire menu. Hubbyhad their(«BESTANYWHERE– EVER» eggplant prm w/penne pasta. He kept raving about how good the eggplant was& how great their sauce was. I ordered the coriander salmon. I love salmon& do a good job of cooking ooking it at home;but last night’s salmon waseven better than my own[ not overcooked & dry like at so many restaurants] .It was served on a bed of hummus w/thick slices of ripe tomato & fresh asparagus spears all grilled to perfection fection& drizzled/EVOO & a B V reduction. Their hot crusty bread w a pesto like dip added to our enjoyment of the meal. Hubby enjoyed their strong hotcoffee fee w/the mini chocolate cannoli for dessert. We ate all we could & our server pleasantly packed up the remains for us take home, giving me today«OFF» since a quick zap in the microwave oven& a quickly tossed salad had dinner on the table PRONTO. If you love Italian /Greek(Mediterranean)food Giorgio’s is the place in the Nashua area to visit [on Amherst street in Merrimack(Pennichuck square) EXPRESSLUNCHSPECIALS daily($ 8.99) include soup or salad& entrée /sandwich choice; a definite«NOBRAINER» for frugal foodies like us!!!

Nope. No. Just… no. For over 10 years this restaurant has been close to work so a go-to for work lunches. I’ve been here over a dozen times and can’t recall a single positive experience both with food and service. However I will rate my most recent lunch, which was just last week(03 – 2016). I arrived 10 minutes after the rest of my party but even with a ½ full restaurant it took the waitress 10 additional minutes to add my drink/food order to the ticket. I ordered the Tuscan Chicken sandwich, which looked like all of the components I would like in a sandwich, just executed so, so poorly — dry, dry, dry(and flavorless) grilled chicken, about 5 diced pieces of roasted red peppers, 2 slices of round(???) prosciutto, and a piece of provolone, served on the driest, airiest piece of bread I’ve ever seen. I guess it was supposed to be «drizzled with good olive oil and reduced balsamic vinegar», but that absolutely was NOT part of my sandwich. I dumped what remained of the olive oil dipping sauce they serve with the bread on my sandwich and it was still inedible. I took 4 – 5 bites and then gave up. The fries, however, were hot and crispy. Certainly not fresh, but for frozen fries, executed correctly. To be fair I asked my coworker what he thought of his Shrimp Fra Diavolo entrée and his was flavorless and bland, no heat at all. We both agreed that this is probably our least favorite area lunch. I’ll go there for a free work lunch but will never, ever pay to eat here.

I use to come to this location years ago and I thought it was really good. I came in more recently and this place isn’t good. I have tried to like it, but it seems like every time I try it gets worse. On the more recent visit, we ordered Arancini’s, first order was frozen in the middle. Second order frozen in the middle, we did not want to try the third one. The manager tried to give us a make up by giving us a dessert without asking, it just came out at the end of the meal. I would have preferred to not have had to pay for anything instead. Dessert isn’t my thing and I dislike chocolate and it was a chocolate dessert. Nice effort but fell short. Another time I came here they gave me a dirty martini that was straight up olive juice, I sent it back and did not order the same drink. I also got a steak here with some frozen veggies on the side and my steak was well well done. I have also tried a pasta dish here and it was mainly sauce, no pasta. So now that I have tried many times to like this place, I have given up. Also we had a waiter who just smelt like cigarettes and then i saw him go out out to smoke. Service actually isn’t too bad isn’t bad here. Except for this one time. I wouldn’t recommend this place or go back now, also you can get better food with better pricing somewhere else.

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Ordered calamari, perfectly cooked and huge portions. My Shrimp scampi was full of flavor and nice big shrimps. My son ordered veal marshland he said the sauce was excellent and the veal tender. Best waiter ever. My new favorite place to dine and go to italian spot.

We’ve had dinner here a few times and usually sit at the bar. Let’s start out by saying the food is generally pretty good. We’ve had several different pasta/veal dishes and they are tasty and well prepared. The appetizers are ok too. The last time we had the arancini and they were cold in the middle and the cheese wasn’t completely melted, apparently they didn’t cook them long enough. Ok, no problem, sometimes these things happen. The service is consistently mediocre at the bar. There always seem to be a number of people mulling around the bar area but not much attention to the patrons. The last time we were there it was kind of slow and the server was hanging out with a customers in the bar area, looking at videos and photos on their phones. OK, so you want to catch up and see some vacation photos, no problem, but our drink glasses were empty and our food was on the counter getting cold. I managed to flag down another server who grabbed our food, had it reheated, and then delivered it to us. The cooks didn’t bother letting the server know that food was up, but she also should have been paying attention to her customers and waiting for their food orders. Too bad as this place has good good and a lot of potential.

lunch recently, bar area seemed most popular spot and was pretty full, we ate at the bar, service a\was pleasant and attentive, some interesting cocktails listed and the new one we tried was excellent, we had a pizza(large so we could bring some home) and it was great, crust not too thick and plentiful toppings, we like both giorgios locations… very good

Really? Food snob? We’re food snobs but sometimes just enjoy good food and good food for the price. We ordered 3 tomato, mozzarella capprese salads for $ 11. which barely had any arugula in it and was teeny but tasty. The hummus was horrible… how do you make horrible hummus? Even though it was lumpy, it tasted awful with the peppers, onions, spices, etc. on top… And the tzatziki was ok and the calamari was just ok. But the price tag of close to $ 100. for a lunch for these items was not at all worth it! We were so mad! Won’t be going back there again!

Spent a night in Nashua on our way home from Canada.(Slight miscalculation on my part. Got Portsmouth and Nashua confused. Turned out to be a happy accident because we discovered two great snack shops! Giorgio’s and the bakery.) So after spending 5 nights in Canada(great seafood but not-so-great Italian food) we were both craving a simple bowl of pasta with tomato sauce. Giorgio’s delivered! First off, the waitress(Shannon) was fabulous! Extremely friendly. Extremely helpful. Extremely accommodating. The bread … Perfect! Tasted freshly baked! Crusty outside. Slightly chewy inside. Served with a garlic & herb oil. Delicious! For an appetizer we ordered the caprese — ripe tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and fresh basil drizzled with balsamic. Excellent! For the entrée with both tried pasta with marinara sauce. Bridgette requested linguine with marinara — no Parmesan and no «green stuff»(i.e. Basil or Parsley). She’s very picky when it comes to tomato sauce and she was pleased! I opted for fettuccine. The waitress grated the Parmesan at the table. A nice touch. We were a little too tired for dessert but I am sure it would have been good. In Nashua? Looking for casual Italian? Stop into Giorgio’s! Buona Sera! :-)

Girorgio’s is awesome! Their lasagna is the best lasagna I have ever had. I don’t know what they do, but they take a basic staple food and make it taste better than I’ve ever imagined. Other dishes there are great as well. We have been very pleased with every visit! They even accommodated a large group without prior notice(their online reservations were broken and I brought in a party of 11 with children). Great attitudes and friendly service!

Love Giorgios. My hubby and I are food snobs(we are from San Francisco after all) and have never been disappointed in Giorgio’s. We especially love their flatbread pizza(try the prosciutto one). We always go to the Merrimack location, never had a long wait, and always great service. Glad to have found a nice place since moving out here from the Bay Area.

Terrific place to meet and eat. Friendly staff and very versital menu. The oysters on Sunday were just the thing to take my mind off the cold white outside. Will make this a regular place to stop.

I will start with the positive. The food is good, nothing that you cannot find elsewhere. The drinks are great! The espresso martini is out of this world. Now the negative. I sat at a high top(after asking the host if we could snag the free table) with my cousin and waited 15 minutes without any wait staff even acknowledging us. I finally went back to the hostess and let her know. She then came over 5 minutes later, cleaned and set the table. We waited again. I had to ask for water twice. The drinks took about 10 – 15 minutes to arrive… per round. I had to stop the waitress and let her know we wanted an appetizer. The bread was burnt. She was incredibly inattentive. It was painful. Luckily we didn’t have anywhere to be, since it took overall a 2.5 hour process from start to finish. I can’t say I’ll be coming again unless it’s for one drink and I have an hour to spare waiting for it.

Me and my two sisters had lunch @ Giorgios last Wed and sat in the bar @bistro table. The place was not busy and bartender service was absolutely horrible, he was wayyyy too busy yacking it up with the staff and a regular customer. My sister and I both ordered the butternut squash Raviolis and my other sister ordered the chicken salad sandwich and it came with a butternut squash soup. THEFOODWASDELICIOUS! The only downside was Our raviolis were barely warm! Yeah what a shocker that the bartender never came back to our table to see how our food was etc… Although we would have LOVED them to be hot out of the kitchen they were absolutely delicious! The Raviolis were homemade and had a nice light sauce with pine nuts, Parmesan crisps, raisins and spinach. YUMMMY!!, my sisters chicken salad was amazing as well; it had just the right amount of mayo, purple grapes, onion and I think a bit of celery on a wonderful braided roll. Her butternut squash soup was fabulous also. I would definitely recommend Giorgios for fine affordable italian food, just don’t sit in the bar, that is unless your a regular customer or work there.

As time goes on the quality declines, the value declines, the water stains on the ceiling in the dining room grow and the overall value has very much decreased. Used to have the best eggplant parmesan one could find, dinner two nights ago was a pile of mushy eggplant. Extremely disappointing. If you no longer have the pride, give it up.

We went to Giorgio’s last Tuesday, a little on the early side, for a quick light meal. We decided on four appetizers: crab fritters, fried calamari, short rib filo and lamb gyro. I had never been to Giorgio’s, but my companion was sure I would like it. The room is attractive, with wall decorations inspired by classical Greek art. The seating is comfortable, and the noise level, at 5:30 was low. I liked that. Everything was excellent. The crab fritters were much like crab cakes, but with shredded zucchini added to the mix, which imitated the stringiness of crab. They came with an excellent sauce, which wasn’t really necessary, because they had so much flavor on their own. By definition, fritters are fried, but these were not like fried food in many other restaurants. Like the fried calamari, they were surprisingly light and crisp. Fried calamari are tricky to bring off in a restaurant, and these were served at just the right moment, when they were hot and tender, not at all heavy and oily. By the time we got to the lamb gyro, we had eaten enough so I didn’t assemble the components the way I should have: that is, I didn’t make lamb sandwiches out of the pita and tomato that was on the plate. I did eat the lamb on its own, and it was excellent. My appetite was dulled by the time I got to the lamb, because I got there by way of the short rib filo. I have been to some very fancy restaurants. I have been critical of some very fancy restaurants. I judge modest restaurants by different standards than restaurants that promise much. I have to say the short rib filo with cream sauce would be at home in the fanciest restaurant in Boston. It is frankly voluptuous. It is $ 11.99. Go to Giorgio’s and eat this culinary miracle. I found nothing to complain about here. While we were there, two large groups of twelve or more stressed the staff. Sarah, our wait person, somehow managed to keep her composure taking many orders on her own, and delivering them. We were not neglected in face of the rush of orders from the large group next to us. The portions here are huge. Two appetizers or mezes would be enough for a meal. We had four, and felt quite full. If you want an entrée, eat lightly for a couple of days before you go.

I’m writing this mainly because I’m ticked off at the attitude of the waitress. I called over and ask for a cup of coffee to go and when I arrived the waitress handed me an ice coffee in which I said, «No, I ordered a hot coffee with milk». She came back and said«We don’t have coffee to go. We’re just not that type of place that give out coffee like that and she had the snuggest look on her face that I’ve ever seen. Oh well, they don’t need my business anyway! Bad attitude.

I have been a customer of Giorgios’s for a long time and figured it was time to write a review. I must add that I am a bar regular and rarely dine in the dinning room. We love the bar, both the regular customers we see and the wonderful staff. The food is delicious. From the wide menu, creative specials and the once in a while specials directly from the kitchen. The kitchen will make changes to dishes to meet the requests of the customers. The staff, Michael, Sarah, Krissy, Erin, Melissa, and many others, good above and beyond to make sure the customers are happy. On several occasions, I must single out Michael, Krissy and Sarah for going well above and beyond to ensure we and our guests had a great time. From accommodating requests to helping out with private parties. The drinks are some of the best around, with Martinis the speciality of the house. You cannot go wrong with any of them! Giorgios is a fun place with a great atmosphere, making it one of my favorite places to visit. Good people, good food and drinks!
