We chose this hotel because of the excellent price and it was near where we wanted to be, and it had 2 «bedrooms» and 2 bathrooms. The second bedroom was actually a loft. I could not find anywhere on the website where it stated that the second bedroom was a loft. Not very much privacy for the young couple that stayed with us. We checked in on a Thursday night, and Friday morning when I went to turn on the downstairs shower, there was no water. We called the desk and were told that the maintenance man would come look at it while we were out. We returned to the room after spending the day out, and the shower was not fixed. We called over to the desk again, and the clerk did not know anything about it. She called back after a few minutes and told us that they were waiting for the plumber to show up. By this time, it was almost 5pm on a Friday. I went over to the desk and asked them if they really think they were going to get a plumber after 5 on a Friday. The clerk gave me a confused look and then told me that we could switch rooms. When I checked out on Monday morning, I talked to a different clerk about the shower problem and he stated that he didn’t understand why they gave us that room(Room 222). So, apparently, they knew about the shower issue, and gave out the room, anyway. I told him that I recommended that they do not use that room again until they fix the shower. After reading some reviews of the place after our stay, I see that others had the same issue. Must have been the same room. Other than that, the rest of the stay was fine. The beds were really comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was great. The kitchenette was very convenient. Rooms could use a little updating with a USB charging station, but otherwise, rooms were pretty good. Lights were not very bright, but there were plenty of them. Breakfast was good, with eggs, fruit, cereal, bread products, oatmeal and different selections of other items as well. Too bad that they didn’t offer bacon or sausage, but otherwise a decent breakfast.

BRINGYOURLYSOLWIPES, NOTYOURCHILDREN! I chose this hotel for the size of the room and the full kitchen, since I was travelling as a family of four to visit nearby relatives. Had I known how dirty and run down the place is, I would give up those things in a heartbeat. It was NOT worth staying here. The whole place is so dirty and run down. Both the coffee table and nightstand were covered in old, sticky spills. I can only hope the spills were white wine. I don’t want to think of what else it might be. The carpet is barely vacuumed, the walls and doors are dirty, ceiling light fixtures/fan have a collection of old bugs and dirt sitting on them. The cleaning staff left out stained towels. Walking around the carpet in bare feet or socks showed how dirty the rugs are — my kids’ socks are now black on the bottom. I guess that’s why they keep that dated dark green carpet — so we don’t see the stains? The kitchen appliances are old as well. The furniture looks like it came from a second hand store. The computer desk was a pop-up thing with an old stained banquet room chair. The wifi was never working. I tried at all hours of the day/night to grab a signal when I thought there would be less usage, but to no avail. There is a fireplace in the room, but it’s wood only. Not the most convenient thing for travelers, not to mention the safety issue. The wall in the upstairs loft is very low — it rises only ½″ above the bed’s backboard. People with young kids need to take caution here. One wrong bounce on the bed and your child could go flying over the wall. The hotel grounds are also run down. Pool and hot tub are chipping and stained with algae. Stairs on all the buildings consist of rotting wood and rusted bars. The few vinyl railings are stained and coming apart. I grabbed on to the railing cap as I rounded the corner of the stairs and the cap popped off. Good thing I had good footing so I didn’t go tumbling down the stairs! Important note: This hotel houses many long term guests. I’d like to say this means corporate housing — business people doing long client visits or families awaiting a renovation at home to be completed, but sadly it’s more along the lines of section 8, low income housing. The renters are itinerant workers, night shift construction or on disability. Most residents sit out on the balconies smoking cigarettes. Their old beat up, rotting out cars fill the parking lots. I was trying to be non-judgmental, but that’s hard considering I also found a small empty ziplock bag in the yard with«$ 40» written on it with a sharpie. These are not the type of people you want staying next door to your children. Also, of note, the residents are NOT child friendly at all. The hotel says many of their residents work 3rd shift and need to sleep during the day. If they know this, then they should put the residents in a separate building cluster so they don’t get upset by families on vacation who want to enjoy the day. Kids laugh loudly… there’s no way to stop that. Don’t put us next to a long term resident who is going to yell at my kids to be quiet at noon!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. All I’m going to say is the first room we had was very dirty. The place hadn’t been vacuumed, there was actual dirt all over the room, HAIRS(multiple) in the bed. Gross. The rooms are so unbelievably dated. For the price before the living social deal, I was expecting more.(I have no idea why). We asked for a second room — you would think they would have checked to make sure that one was clean. Same problem. Dirt everywhere, hair in the shower, sink, bed… half the lights don’t work. They offered to move us to a different room, but we left. Went to Portsmouth, NH to get out of the area and stayed at the best Hampton Inn I have ever seen. Between this and a few other Wyndham experiences, I will never, ever, ever stay at one again.

We are very disappointed with this hotel. I’ve stayed in similar and was expecting much more. Checked into our room and there were two lights out and a very dim light in the bathroom. Someone came over quickly. One could be replaced, one overhead can light has to be repaired and the bathroom light can’t have a brighter bulb. So, taking a shower in the dim light. Also, the bathroom fan sounds like a truck. I asked the maintenance guy about it and he said, «yeah, some of them are like that.» Seriously, Wyndham, none of them should be like that. We didn’t ask for another room as we figured we’d just end up in a similar situation. We were looking forward to a hot delicious breakfast. After all, it is the weekend so it’ll probably be extra special. Unfortunately, no. Powered eggs. Corned beef hash — which looks so much like dog food to me – no other meat. Ok, I’ll have a waffle. It’s the kind you make yourself. Undercooked and doughy, there was no way to reset it. Ugh. Well, we have one more night, maybe tomorrow’s breakfast will be better. I did give 2 stars because there is a kitchenette, a tiny living room, and lots of closet space. It is a comfortable size.
