Advanced Relief Techniques is an in-​home business operated by a husband & wife. My manager’s boss referred me to ARTS several months ago and was first introduced to the company through a marathon training group.
To be honest I thought assisted stretching sounded weird, but when running I never stretch, so I thought it might help. I went three times a few months ago. Each visit was $ 70 for 30 minutes. Each time I went the wife worked with me and although the pressure applied was not hard, she knew the exact pressue points and I was surprised that it hurt a bit. I definitely felt it! Years of not stretching created tight muscles which led to sore knees and slower running times. She provided a chart of stretches I could do at home between sessions.
Now that I am getting back into running, I have made an appointment to revisit ARTS. I would highly recommend their services, especially for runnners.
