I stopped in for breakfast on a whim. Great food. Great service. I got the Mexicanisimo, which is scrambled eggs with nopales and chorizo with refried beans and I chose corn tortillas. Flour tortillas are available instead. The entrée came with a side of salsa verde which was also great. This was all spicy and delicious and filling. Should hold me for 4 hours at work. Highly recommended. I have to try the homemade tamales next time!

The food is really good here. The service is good, and sometimes excellent, but it’s spotty on which it will be. It’s never bad, just sometimes slower than other times. The prices are comparable to other places, but the food here is of superior, handmade quality. There is nothing here that we have ordered that was not of high quality. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food. Your trip to Mexico awaits at Dos Panchas.

Not bad. I judge any Tex-Mex restaurant by their chicken enchilada dinners. The fajita chicken was favorable and fresh. Now the cleanliness of the place is something to be desired. It’s old and needs updating BAD! If you happen to be in Mesquite and desire Tex-Mex, it’s worth a try once. We’ll see about coming twice after the next 24 hours go by or shall I say, pass through. Hahaha Sorry no picture this time.

Not very good. I knew going in, the place was older, but upon walking in, the place stunk… I know that can be the case, so we stayed. I ordered sour cream chicken enchiladas off the 6 $ menu. I ordered them with fajita chicken. I knew there would he an upcharge, but 3 $‘s is a very high upcharge. And they weren’t the best. My hubs had the chimi’s but they were not a traditional chimi. He said the taste was mediocre. I needed to go to the restroom before we left. After winding through to the back of the building, I found it. I felt like I had actually entered Mexico. I’m not sure how the health department allows them to stay open after seeing it.

I love you Dos Panchas. I always have. This small tex-mex restaurant on the historic square in old downtown Mesquite has been serving up the fajitas since 1997. Don’t come for the décor because this place is no frills. On Mothers Day my family and I came here to eat lunch, which was of course packed. We called ahead and got seating for a party of 8 with a reserved table. Most places would not do this on Mothers Day, but they appreciated that I called ahead to ask. I guess it’s the little things. Inside we were seated at a small wooden table on the right side of the restaurant. A man quickly dropped of several baskets of chips and cups of salsa. I would say the chips and salsa are a 4/5, very good salsa and just a smidge over-done chips. Add salt. Service was sort of slow, especially refills, but this was because they were so busy. I forgive them. Food came and we ordered Fajitas, which were outstanding. My wife got Steak and I got Combo. Flour tortillas are made fresh on site, which is always a huge plus. Good flavor, and good amount of meat for the price. Charro beans were out of this world. Rice is basic, a little dry. Pico was awesome too, very fresh. Truthfully Dos Panchas probably needs to shut down for a week and repaint the place, as its showing it’s age and wear. If you don’t mind though, you will find some genuine Tex-Mex lovingly prepared and served in this«hole in the wall» owner operated spot in Mesquite. Check it out.

Dos Panchas would be getting four stars if it wasn’t for the fact that the food was delivered so slowly and they were by no means busy. I ordered the beef and cheese nachos and asked for potatoes in lieu of chips(I love them, must be the Irishman in me.) and found them to be delicious. I had Dr. Pepper no ice to drink and of course found no fault in that. The wait staff was friendly and seemed competent enough, I just recommend coming here when you have some time to kill.

Dirty… Chips were burnt. Salsa was not fresh. Food was sub par. The only thing good about the place was the tea. My husband says I am am being to generous with the 2 star rating.

This place has a great hole-in-the-wall feel, mostly because it is! The food is great. The staff is pretty regular and service can be a bit on the slow side, so it’s not a place for quick eats. That said, the chilaquiles make a great breakfast for dinner!

This place has delicious food, and delicious chilaquiles! The place definitely needs some renovating done to it, parts of it look like its starting to fall apart, but their food never fails to please. I highly recommend you try this place out, their food definitely has a home-style feel to it.

I come here all the time since it’s right next to my place. Awesome lunch specials. Good food, homy atmosphere, and I love the staff. There’s only three waiters but the food always comes out fast and always hot. Homemade salsa is my fav though. Sincerely, the only Asian in mesquite

This is the only place where I go when I want Mexican food! Its always quiet! always owner comes out to say hello! Always friendly and helpful staff! Always great food! Im not familiar with Mexican food so I have to ask What is this? all the time! They always help to make a good choice and every time I love what they offer! Its a great small place to go and enjoy food and nice conversation. It looks very Mexican too — lovely! Its clean and smells very good! I have recommended and will continue this place to all my friends! I think the owner needs to promote his business more aggressively so people would know… Thank you and wish prosperity to your business!

New restaurant to the lake area. Food was favorable service was OK but had room for improvement. With a little more time with the doors open I’m sure a forth star will be in order.
