This shoe repair shop never seems to be actually open. I have tried to take a couple of pair of quality shoes in for repair, but even though the sign says they’re open from 10:00 — 5:00 Monday through Friday, the door is locked and there’s nobody there. My husband finally got a pair of my Nine West boots in to have a new half-sole put on one of them and a pair of heel caps on 11/12/2014. He paid $ 50(one-third of the price of the boots new!) and was told they would be ready for pick-up on Friday, 11/21/2014. Of course, it’s been so cold that I wanted to get them back as soon as they were ready, but having stopped by five times and called numerous times — NOTHING. There isn’t even any voice mail to leave a message. While I can’t vouch for the quality of the repairs yet, as I haven’t had a chance to see them, but I’m starting to get pretty annoyed. I guess the only thing I can do is leave a note on the front door and hope for the best. Either be open your stated hours(M-F 10:00 — 5:00) or close your shop. As most people work Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 5:00, it’s pretty critical that if you have to take off early from work to pick up your shoes that the store be open. At this point, regardless of the quality of simply resoling a boot, I don’t think I’ll be taking any other shoes there. Just not the kind of customer service I expect. UPDATE: As of 12/04/2014, I still have not been able to contact the owner of this shop. I went to leave a note taped to his door one evening after work last week, but saw that the shop nextdoor was open. I decided to go in and ask what was going on with the shoe repair shop. The lady there said that there was no electricity in the shop, but that the owner hadn’t been in for a couple of weeks. Apparently, he gave her the key to his shop and asked her to give people their shoes back if they had a ticket. She’s having to use a flashlight to be able to try to locate people’s shoes by ticket number. She was only able to tell me that she’ll look for me, but it’s likely that my boots haven’t even been repaired at all! So, the guy was happy to take the money up front(knowing that he was closing up?) I asked the lady if she would try to get my shoes today — repaired or not. I may have to file a police report for theft in order to get my money back if the repairs haven’t been done. Yeah, I’d stay clear of this place!

Ok, so I didn’t actually take my shoes here, and I don’t think I ever will and here’s why. I had a stockpile of shoes to be repaired, I had let them backlog I guess, so I was calling around to several places in the area to find out hours, prices, etc. and when I called Fancy Feet on a Saturday morning I was«greeted» by a guy who didn’t really know what the hours were going to be today since he was planning on closing sometime in the middle of the day to go to a soccer game or something. What? And there’s no one else to keep the shop open or you can’t tell me exactly when you’re going to close? Unacceptable in my opinion and very rude to a potential customer. Thanks but no thanks.
