Ok, my 200th review… since I doubt I am going to be going to a strip club soon and I don’t think I can talk myself into going to a swingers club just yet, I will write about one of the services I love more than anything in the world! You must know this about me: when something does not seem important to me, I am completely lazy about it. I procrastinate. I find other things to do instead even if it includes watching paint peel off the wall. Things that are important to me: work, partying, playing Guitar Hero or the Wii, reading books, watching trashy reality TV, etc. Things that are most definitely not important to me: cleaning my house. When I first moved in to my condo my house would literally get the top to bottom scrub-down by me once or twice PERYEAR. I would clean huge messes and keep the kitchen at least sanitary, but mopping/sweeping/dusting/vacuuming/etc was so low on my priorities that staring into space was more important. And when that one day came where I decided to really clean my house it took literally ALLDAY and I could do nothing else. Then I got the bright idea… I should get a maid. HELLS yeah! Why didn’t I think of this before? I called up Merry Maids and they sent someone out to look at my house and give me a price quote on how often I wanted them to clean. They have once weekly, every other week, once per month, and periodic deep clean options, all with different pricing. I chose every other week. They take your key and keep it at their home office with a numbering system that keeps the keys separate from your personal information in case anyone steals all the keys. The maids stealthily show up on a scheduled day while you are at work and clean your entire house. They pick a different room each time to do a more deep clean as well. Then you come home and smile to find a perfectly clean, fresh smelling house(it always smells cinnamon-y, I don’t know what they use but I love it). The floors are clean, the beds are made, the counters are sparkling, and my lazy ass can plop down on the couch and watch TV or I can invite people over for an afterpary without worrying about them freaking out when they see the squalor in which I live! The only downside is that you have to pick up your junk before they come to clean… so that they can actually CLEAN! This is a problem for me because I tend to throw my junk everywhere. However, it is so worth it that I don’t care. I would rather not have cable TV or a cell phone before I would get rid of Merry Maids. Merry Maids, I love you.
